The Magic Club (CIO) is a charity in Claremont, Blackpool, working with young people aged 7-16 to support them to thrive; increasing skills, accessing new opportunities, developing relationships and having loads of fun. We currently deliver youth club sessions four evenings each week in term time from our own venue, offering a diverse and high quality range of activities and project work. We also deliver detached youth work, Duke of Edinburgh and Arts Award programmes, AQAs, trips, residentials, holiday programmes, 1-2-1 and small group work, projects and youth volunteering, all served up with really tasty food. Alongside this we work with our parents and carers, wider community and partners to ensure we do whatever we can to support young people to thrive.
Opening in March 2018, we have seen a huge impact for young people in our community. With increased confidence, social skills and aspiration as well as improved relationships and routes to further education and work; we are making a lasting difference.
We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled colleague, with the vision, knowledge and commitment to lead on the delivery of our curriculum, projects, club sessions and activities with, and for, the young people of Claremont.
You will support our team of youth support workers, volunteers and Peer Educators, helping them to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members. You will develop relationships and partnerships within the community to develop further support and opportunities for young people. You will also support the evaluation of our work, ensuring we are continually meeting the needs and interests of young people.
We will accept applications from JNC qualified workers or for individuals who are willing to complete a funded Level 6 qualification whilst working with us (the salary bands reflect payments for unqualified and qualified individuals). In either case we would require a Senior Youth Worker with comprehensive experience of working with young people and has experience of supervising teams of staff and volunteers.
We are a little biased, but we think the best part of the role is working with some of the most brilliant young people in Blackpool. This role will be pivotal in supporting the charity to further develop our offer for our young people, ensuring it is high-quality, meets the needs of our members and makes a big impact. About this key role
As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. We will also count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and hospital staff, while also identifying onward referral pathways with other services in the hospital such as CAMHS, IDVA, COMPASS and other statutory and voluntary sectors in the community.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will also help to identify and assess young victims of violence and to provide support, advice and advocacy for both them and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community. You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments and deliver a holistic support service that includes practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options, benefits work, appearing in court, DIY work and cleaning.
What we are looking for
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families.
- Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of a project.
- Experience of using support plans to enable people to successfully access support services.
- Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people.
- Proven experience of working in a high intensity environment.
- A working knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area.
- First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

The Role
As Project Lead for United Learning, you have the opportunity to make a difference on a large scale.
In this role you will have two key responsibilities – to ensure the successful delivery of our group wide stakeholder surveys (to pupils, staff and parents) and to support with organisation-wide performance management. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with teams across United Learning’s central office and with schools.
You will ensure the successful delivery of our surveys programme including working with our partner, Edurio, to manage all aspects of technical set up and supporting schools to ensure they are prepared to deliver these surveys locally. You will shape and oversee the delivery of analysis based on survey results to ensure we are using this data to inform priority areas and improvements. You will look for ways to improve the set-up processes as well as how we use the data derived from the surveys.

Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support. Role Purpose
You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.
THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.
The Strategic Projects unit focuses on new and emerging areas of work which require close collaboration with staff across the organisation, and to use creative thinking, sound project management and administrative skills. Recently completed work ranges from providing interim programme and events management support to THET’s Experts In Our Midst programme, to project management and coordination support to the UK-Africa Health Summit. Work is now starting on initiatives to tackle the organisational change we see at THET, such as strengthening recruitment and induction processes, and improving our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion approach.

Main Responsibilities

About this key role
Reporting to the CFO Evolution Team Leader, our successful candidate will provide ongoing resettlement support needs and deliver high-quality, engaging group sessions to your assigned participants, while also monitoring and reviewing each individual’s progress to ensure high attendance, achievement rates and progression. You will be expected to contribute to making contact and establishing relationships with new participants and to assist them to understand the benefits of engaging with the CFO Evolution programme, plus provide participants with structured feedback and set development objectives.
We will rely on you to develop strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies offering support and, where appropriate, feed into stage 2 and 3 of the CFO Wing provision by providing holistic wrap-around with general elements of resettlement support. In collaboration with the local CFO Activity Hub, planning for and facilitating effective Through the Gate and warm handovers to the relevant Support Worker in Community is also a key element of this role.
What we are looking for
- Working with offenders, or those disaffected and marginalised from mainstream services, in training, guidance, advice and counselling environments is desirable
- Knowledge of HM Prison environments and/or training, education and employment opportunities locally and nationally, and of training and guidance

Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from July 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.
You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.
Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:
· Raising awareness
· Supporting those affected by sepsis
· Educating health professionals
· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.
2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.
3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities.
4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.
5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential
6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.
7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.
8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.
Day to day activities will include:
1. Managing an inbox and replying to enquiries in a timely and professional manner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Birmingham & Solihull. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.
Position: S11187 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers.
