We are looking for an Arts Sector Employment Coach will support young adults with SEND to apply for jobs within the Arts sector and coach them through the recruitment and induction process.

The role incorporates:

· Working with the Arts organisations in making their recruitment processes more accessible to candidates with disabilities

· Providing job coaching support to induct the new employee into their role.

· Spreading awareness of the scheme and its impact with the aim of encouraging arts sector organisations to hire young adults with SEND is an integral part of the role.

Do you want to support students during their lunch break and create a safe, clean and calm atmosphere for our students? We are looking for a support worker and cleaner to join our Brixton office.

Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes helping adults with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs become more happy, healthy and independent. Our vision is a world where disabled people are fully included in society, living the life they choose, and we need talented people to help us make that happen. 

You’ll support and supervise students during their lunch break and create a schedule of lunchtime activities. As part of your role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Share learning space.  

Main responsibilities 

• You’ll oversee the overall management of the dining area and support students during their lunch break 
• You’ll be responsible for planning, using ideas from students, a schedule of lunchtime activities for students  
• You’ll support students to learn and encourage them in activities which will assist the development of skills and experience 
• You’ll be responsible for cleaning the Share learning spaces – the kitchen, office and training areas to a high standard daily

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.

You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.

You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have the following:

· Demonstrable experience in supporting vulnerable young people in a similar role, particularly through youth activities in 1;1 and/or group settings, or befriending/mentoring 

· Good knowledge of the UK asylum system and the related challenges facing young refugees and asylum-seekers in contingency accommodation

· Strong ability to problem-solve, research information and solutions, and to take initiative

· Working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding processes 

· Ability to empathise, communicate and engage effectively with young people in distress 

· Ability to handle complex, sensitive and confidential information appropriately

· You are available to work on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The Harbour Project has supported people seeking asylum and people with Refugee status for more than 20 years, giving us a huge depth of knowledge and insight to draw upon. The Advice Centre at The Harbour Project is the heart of the charity. Seeing 30 to 40 people a day, our team of Advisors provide key help and support to Harbour Visitors (our beneficiaries), responding to a variety of questions and issues. If so, St Giles has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Caseworker to work on our pioneering SOS+ project, where you will provide vital support to 10-15 young women up to 25, who are involved in serious youth, violence, county lines, exploitation, and criminality.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will complete initial needs assessments with young women and support them to develop individual action plans and regularly review them to assess progress, plus undertake risk assessments and regular holistic needs assessments of each individual.  You will develop safety and care plans with each client and their families, ensuring that they are equipped to understand the factors which can make them vulnerable, put them at risk and know where to access support if they need to, while also delivering ongoing dynamic risk and contextual safeguarding assessments.

We will count on you to provide important advocacy and support to young people with regards to welfare and financial advice, housing options and/or how to sustain tenancies, rent arrears, access to suitable and affordable housing, and how to access education, employment, and training (ETE) opportunities, as well as facilitating access into positive activities to divert young people away from criminality, offending and harm.  Developing and maintaining relationships with referral and regional agencies, being responsible for two volunteers and participating and attending team and strategy meetings and child protection conferences, are also key aspects of the role.

What we are looking for

• To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of London 

• Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project

• Experience in working in local community-based projects

• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard, or be working towards one

• An understanding of the Government’s Prevent (anti extremism) programme

• Knowledge of services for offenders and patterns of offending in London borough/s

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written 

• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

Purpose of Post

This is an exciting time to join our innovative carers service. We are in a position to grow the current support offered and develop other ways of supporting carers across Hertfordshire.

The Carers Coordinator is an integral role within Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) and to the future development of the service. Using the ethos and values of peer support, the post holder will support carers in an empathetic, safe, respectful and empowering way; using their lived experience to bring hope.

Key Responsibilities

• To recruit, train and support a team of volunteers to provide 1-1 support and group support
• Arrange regular 1-1 and group support via Teams for volunteers
• To work within the model of peer support to help unpaid carers to discuss common experiences and to establish and maintain relationships built on trust
• To work with the Service Manager to assist in the planning, organisation and development of the Carers service
• To work closely with the Volunteer Team around the volunteer recruitment process and Volunteer Selection Training
• Ensure volunteers are aware of all training opportunities
• Attend training, supervision sessions and appraisals as required
• Act as a positive role model for unpaid carers

With a focus on removing barriers and reducing stigma surrounding seeking support, our strategy empowers individuals, communities, and faith leaders.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of 'Your Voice Matters.' Collaborating closely with our Director of Support Services and fellow Betknowmore colleagues, you will oversee the delivery of workshops, facilitate focus groups, and participate in community engagement events. Supported by our partnership with The Faiths Forum for London, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships within the Black community to maximize the project's impact over the next two years.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) is Lambeth’s peer-led Disabled People’s Organisation. 

You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation. 

We want to change the system, influencing employment support providers and their Commissioners to ensure support for Black Disabled people who are seeking employment is appropriate, accessible and inclusive.

You will have excellent project management skills and use your lived, personal experience of race and disability equity issues to implement change, working collaboratively with residents (Lived Experience Leads), partner organisations and employment support providers. Your role will involve working primarily with Black Disabled Lambeth residents. You will understand and encounter the intersections between being Black and Disabled and the barriers to employment and be able to demonstrate creative and people-centred approaches to influencing change.

This role is based at our centre a short walk from Clapham Common tube station, in London. We support homeless people from the local area and further afield. Our services are open access, so the people who come to the Ace of Clubs are diverse and from multiple walks of life. Consequently their needs can be complex, so we are looking for a skilled communicator who can support people, many of who live chaotic lifestyles. Our purpose at the Ace of Clubs is to address people’s basic human needs by providing food, clothing, toiletries, and practical support. We help people link up with housing, healthcare, education, and employment. Our Support Workers work to help individuals overcome barriers to achieving wellbeing, whether it be through guidance in the support system, learning new skills or supporting service users to build the confidence and skills to enable them to navigate their life challenges and advocate for themselves. The ultimate aim of our work is to reduce people’s dependence on our service, helping them move toward independence.

Literacy Tutor

-To work with people who have a learning disability

The Creighton Centre is a local charity with a long history of working in Hammersmith & Fulham, caring for older, vulnerable and disabled people. We tackle problems caused by social isolation and disadvantage by developing and providing programmes that offer people practical solutions and emotional support.

The Learning Disability Outreach (LDO) project needs a Literacy Tutor to teach people with learning disabilities, helping them to improve their reading and writing skills, to enhance their lives and achieve their aspirations. The teaching will be mostly in a 1-to-1 capacity, or with small groups. You will need some experience of teaching literacy skills and a compassionate attitude.

Key Responsibilities of this role

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• To work as part of a diverse and experienced team providing personalised support, advice and advocacy to people living independently or in supported accomodation.
• To apply a collegiate approach to deliver strengths based support that maximises independence, knowledge and confidence of those using our services.
• To provide a key point of reference for information and support to those using the services and professionals and carers dependent on it.
• To work independently across the boroughs we operate in, with people in their homes or in accessing support and resources across the community.

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provide specialist nurses and support to children living with complex, lifelong conditions.

The purpose of the role is to work within the programmes team with specific responsibility for establishing, engaging with, and supporting our Roald Dahl Nurses.

Our Sport Team has an exciting opportunity for you to join them, working in Camden and across London to engage those experiencing homelessness into physical activity and improving their quality of life. 

About the role: 

As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. Additionally, you'll play a key part in growing the programmes reach, forging partnerships with similar organisations and charities, while also advocating for the significance of physical activity within the homeless community. 

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients supporting them to engage in regular physical activity, and see an improvement in their overall health. 

About you:

• Demonstrable knowledge of fitness and sporting activities, application and implementation 
• Sports and coaching qualifications relevant tot he sector. 
• Demonstrable knowledge of motivating and supporting vulnerable adults and young people into sport and exercise. 
• Ability to develop and deliver structured group-based physical activity sessions with both adults and young people. 
• Ability to advocate for the importance of physical activity within our services.
