Our service in Southend-on-Sea, Hope Lodge, is looking for someone like you to join the team. Your challenge will be to assist with the day-to-day management of the service contract and support those that use our services. You’ll also be responsible for helping to manager our staff resources, manage a case load, including inducting new members, managing the daily rota and ensuring team development plans are in place. And, when it comes to seeing that data is entered correctly onto our system, helping to prepare management information and deputing for the Service Manager, again, we’ll count on you. 

To take on this challenging front line management role you’ll need proven relevant experience of leading, supervising and inspiring staff, using a firm but inclusive management style. You will also have proven experience within a Housing or Social Care background.
 
You are caring and considerate, with a real passion for supporting people who use our services.  You’ll also need the ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage conflicting priorities, coupled with sound judgment and flair for delegating work appropriately. Good investigation and negotiation skills are also required, as is tact and diplomacy. Self‐motivated, flexible about working hours and able to engage effectively at all levels, you are outcome solution and task focused and happy to participate in on call arrangements.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. From 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship will be merging with the mental health charity Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will then be renamed to reflect the new, bigger and better organisation.
