Why we want you

We want every visitor to feel welcomed and included and we can only achieve that if our volunteers are as diverse as our communities. You don't need to be a super-fan of ballet or opera, you just need to be open and curious to learn!

What you will be doing

• Welcome and greet visitors
• Share information and answer questions
• Accompany tour groups to ensure they remain together
• Help to manage queues and busy spaces
• Assist staff in keeping everyone safe
• Escalate problems or complaints to staff
• Use radio to communicate with staff and volunteer team

The skills you need

• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Reliable and punctual
• A team player
• Proactive and able to follow instructions
• Interested to learn about ballet, opera, and the Royal Opera House
• Able to keep calm during busy times
• Able to stay motivated during quieter times
• Confident communicating in English
• Enjoy meeting new people and starting conversations
