Job description

Build Something New. Grow Something Meaningful.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial fundraiser to help build and scale a growing community fundraising programme from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys turning ideas into income. You'll lead our community fundraising, challenge events, and local corporate partnerships, creating new opportunities for people and businesses to support the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the iconic Chelsea Pensioners.

What You'll Do

  • Grow community fundraising by recruiting and supporting individuals, schools, clubs, community groups and volunteers.
  • Launch and develop a challenge events programme, including events such as the Great North Run and other running, cycling and walking challenges.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, securing sponsorships, partnerships and employee fundraising opportunities.
  • Create compelling supporter journeys that drive participation, fundraising and retention.
  • Use data, insight and CRM systems to track performance and identify opportunities for growth.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and making things happen.

You'll bring:

  • A track record of generating income through community fundraising, challenge events, corporate partnerships, or a similar supporter-facing role.
  • A proactive, growth-minded approach and the confidence to test new ideas.
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working to ambitious targets and managing multiple priorities.
  • Good knowledge of fundraising best practice and supporter stewardship.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a fundraising role. It's a chance to help shape a growing income stream for one of Britain's most iconic institutions. You'll have the freedom to develop new ideas, build partnerships, and create fundraising experiences that make a real difference to veterans' lives.

If you're excited by the challenge of building, growing and scaling fundraising activity, we'd love to hear from you.
