The role
The Corporate Partnerships team manage award-winning, long-term, strategic partnerships that raise more than £5m for the charity. Partnerships with household names, such as Asda, M&S and ghd, deliver both commercial results for our partners and benefit women and their families affected by breast cancer.
You will take the lead in designing and securing the next wave of strategic, long-term, high profile and high value (6 figure+) partnerships. You will take ownership over sectors, research and identify top prospects, and proactively approach and build relationships with Director level contacts of key companies.
You will work in a supportive, creative, and ambitious environment, managed by an experienced Head of Corporate Engagement and alongside a passionate and talented team.
Corporate Engagement is of huge importance to the charity and it is important to harness all available expertise, so we would expect you to liaise across the whole charity and to act as a role model for collaboration across our team and the charity.
About you
We need someone with a proven track record of securing 5 figure+ corporate partnerships. You will be ambitious, proactive, tenacious, and a commercially driven corporate fundraiser.
You will demonstrate experience of securing a variety of partnerships, including Charity of the Year, strategic, sponsorship or cause-related marketing campaigns - by establishing strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
You will need to be a great relationship builder with excellent public speaking and presentation skills. You will be results driven and highly organised, with an ability to monitor and prioritise potential opportunities in a fast-paced environment. An eye for spotting how a business can help a charity, or its beneficiaries, is key. A natural empathy for women and their families affected by breast cancer is essential.

We are looking for an organised and proactive team member to join our Glasgow Breastfeeding Buddies project to deliver breastfeeding peer support to parents with babies currently in the neonatal units across the Greater Glasgow & Clyde health board area. Funding is from the Scottish Government, initially until 31st January 2022.
This role is currently home-based due to Covid restrictions but will include travel (once restrictions are lifted) to three hospitals across Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Applicants must be able to travel to all hospital locations from their home (expenses would be paid).
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. You must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Good IT skills are also essential – including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you have already completed the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter, as well as having some relevant experience supporting parents in a neonatal unit.

We are looking for an exceptional self-starter for this new Welfare Benefits Manager role.
The post-holder will join our thriving Advice and Guidance department which comprises of Helpline, Advice and Guidance Officers and an Education Appeals team. The teams’ provide information, advice and guidance for deaf children, young people, families, carers and professionals, taking a child centred approach, on a range of subjects including education, communication, social care, discrimination, independence and welfare benefits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of the department’s ambitions in meeting National Deaf Children’s Society’s strategy, specifically in relation to Welfare benefits. They will lead the development and delivery of specialist Welfare benefits services and ensure that accessible, good quality welfare benefits related information, advice and guidance is available to our beneficiaries through a variety of channels, largely digital.
The role will include planning and delivering targeted welfare benefits advice and guidance sessions to different audiences using a variety of channels and line manage the Advice and Guidance Appeals Specialist (Benefits), fixed term contract, and oversee their case load.
You will have significant experience of delivering complex advice and guidance in Welfare benefits, to families and young people within the third or public sector, or equivalent (including digitally). You will have excellent in-depth knowledge and understanding of the policy and political context in which services, specifically welfare benefits, operate across the UK.
You will also have excellent communication and influencing skills, experience of managing partnerships and in designing and delivering accessible training to different audiences, using a range of formats.
The successful candidate will receive a full induction and training, including deaf awareness and British Sign Language (BSL) along with continuous learning and development opportunities.

Role purpose:
To develop and grow grant income, managing and overseeing four to six-figure donations from Trusts, Foundations, and other grant giving organisations.
Maintain oversight and strategy of income stream, working alongside Philanthropy Fundraiser to share learnings and workload.
Cultivate, steward, and manage a portfolio of funders, creating tailored written applications for funding and update reports, and building strong and compelling relationships with funders.
Seek grants from new funders to grow the charity’s income, conducting research for new opportunities to build and develop pipeline of new prospects.
Support wider Fundraising and Communications when needed and supporting the Fundraising Manager throughout the year where appropriate.
What we are looking for:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the wider fundraising team to develop an existing and successful income stream.
We are willing to consider transferable skills, so are looking for someone who has strong experience in writing/communications or proven success and experience fundraising from grant making trusts.
Very good attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor writing style for different audiences are all essential.

Who we are:
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that inspires young people aged 8-24 to imagine a new future through and beyond cancer treatment. When treatment ends our work begins, as for many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible.
Through sailing and other outdoor activities, the Trust empowers young people to make friends with others who have had similar experiences (often for the first time), learn new skills, push their physical and mental boundaries, rebuild confidence and rediscover independence. Crucially, they stop feeling like the ‘only one’ and realise what they are capable of again. They can start looking positively towards the future.
The Trust has two bases - in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and Largs on Scotland’s West Coast – and employs a full-time team of 19. A number of seasonal staff are also recruited for the Trust’s main trip season (June-September). We work closely with the leading young people’s cancer charities and our NHS hospital partners to try to ensure every young person who needs support after the end of their treatment can join a trip, and stay involved, with the Trust.
