We are working in partnership with MuirCroft Housing Association, a not-for-profit social landlord providing sheltered housing in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead on and bring a new perspective to an already successful charity.
In existence for over 40 years, MuirCroft provides sheltered housing to rent for over 60's and today supports well over 100 tenants. But MuirCroft is about much more than just its buildings, it’s a thriving, happy community of people living their own lives but with the support of both staff and fellow tenants.
With a track record of successful senior appointments, and with specialist skills in the sector the new Chief Executive will lead a well-structured, rigorous, and fully supported service.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Experience of senior leadership in an organisation or major service in a relevant field, with a proven track record in both strategic and operational management
- Understanding of the social housing operating environment, the regulatory framework provided by the Regulator of Social Housing and other sector regulators.
- Experience of developing financial and non-financial management information, and have excellent budget preparation, setting, monitoring and financial forecasting.
- Effectively work with Board or Management Committee to develop exciting and realistic strategies that deliver the vision and objectives who can lead the development of organisational and cultural change.
The ideal candidate will be an effective team player and 'people person' who is able to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and standards and use their skills and experience of the small staff team, to best effect. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead and positively represent the organisation. The new Chief Executive Officer will be an ambassador, playing a key role in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, lead and inspire a team. The new Chief Executive Officer will embrace regular daily tasks, as well as formulating and implementing forward-looking strategy.

Peterhouse seeks to appoint a talented fundraiser as its new Development Director, a key position within the College.
The new Development Director will have the exciting opportunity to develop and shape a new fundraising and campaign strategy for the College. Working closely with the Master, Professor Andy Parker, you will ensure Peterhouse meets its significant fundraising potential.
In 2034, Peterhouse will reach its 750th anniversary and celebrate 50 years since the admission of women to the College. The work done so far has built strong relationships with our alumni which will form the foundation of a new campaign over the next decade, leading up to these milestones. The incoming Director will lead and shape this campaign.
You will manage a portfolio of the College's most significant donors and prospects, cultivating and personally soliciting potential benefactors for major gifts.
Amongst the 31 Colleges that make up the University of Cambridge, Peterhouse is truly unique. We are the oldest College, the smallest College and we foster an exceptionally supportive and close-knit community of Fellows, students, staff and alumni. Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) supports grassroots activists and civil society organisations around the world working to address environmental and social justice in over 160 countries. GGF applies a participatory and decentralised model in making grants to grassroots groups through regional and thematic boards of advisors, global partner networks and independent funds, to support grassroots environmental and social justice action.
Global Greengrants Fund comprises two organisations located in the USA, Global Greengrants Fund Inc (established in 1993), and Global Greengrants Fund UK (established in 2012). The two organisations work closely together with a shared grantmaking programme and strategic collaboration at the senior leadership level. GGF UK consists of thirteen staff members working on fundraising and influencing philanthropy; finance; communications; and operations, with all of these functions operating autonomously but in close collaboration with their US counterpart functions.

The role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support the Executive Director and senior leadership team to become more effective and strategic in their work. They will provide support to the leadership and governance of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, Director of Finance and Operations and other team members as required to provide high-quality administrative and communications support to the organisation. The Executive Administrator will build strong relationships across GGF’s global team. The Executive Administrator will perform key support and clerical functions - preparing correspondence, research and briefings, handling confidential information, and taking notes at meetings. They will also support the management of large, often cross-functional organisation-wide initiatives, bringing together important stakeholders to help drive decisions. They will be responsible for calendar management (arranging conference calls among vast time zones) and travel logistics.
In the present accountability structures, the Executive Administrator reports to the Executive Director while building and working in more collaborative ways.
The candidate profile.
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment.
They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.
English fluency is a must.

The Role:
Oxfam is looking for a Senior Climate Resilience Adviser to drive the development and execution of resilience programmes and strategies integrating community driven approaches to resilience and increasing Oxfam’s work in the area of humanitarian, development and peace nexus. As the Senior Climate Resilience Adviser, you will be the linchpin in our efforts to design, implement, and lead climate resilience programmes and strategies across fragile and conflict-affected areas.
This role involves:
- Strategic Leadership: Working with country and regional partners to support the development and delivery of climate resilience programmes and strategies within conflict and fragile contexts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the triple nexus approach.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and support on integrating climate resilience and anticipatory action into triple nexus programming for conflict and fragile contexts, employing a decolonised and intersectional lens to ensure interventions are culturally sensitive and locally led.
- Partnership Development: Foster strategic influencing partnerships with climate resilience leads in UK with FCDO, UN and international bodies, academic and other strategic organisations to enhance programme impact policy discussions and research, and drive policy and practice change to enable funding mechanisms and partnerships.
- Fundraising and influencing: support or lead fundraising efforts and, using programmatic and sector-wide learning, influence donor practices and policies to better achieve Nexus programming and adoption of decolonised resilience approaches .
- Learning and Innovation: Develop and test innovative approaches that integrate climate resilience and triple nexus programming in fragile and conflict contexts. Promote a learning culture, encouraging the documentation, communication and integration of lessons learned into programmes and policy (especially UK government humanitarian and development policy).

Collaboration: working collaboratively across disciplines, broker dialogue and build shared agendas between teams for integrated programming and influencing, listen and build consensus amongst diverse stakeholders.
