Skills and Responsibilities

To develop relationships to secure gifts and grants from Corporate Foundations, Trusts and statutory grant makers to achieve income targets. Responsibilities include:

Prospect Research:

• Identify and develop a pipeline of opportunities from grant-giving trusts and foundations.
• Use internal database, online resources, desk research, and contact mapping to identify new funder opportunities.
• Review trusts’ and foundations’ funding criteria to grow the prospect pipeline.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our work and future developments to identify new funding opportunities.

Submitting grant applications:

• Create compelling and persuasive funding appeals.
• Complete grant application forms and follow application processes as required.
• Work closely with colleagues across the Directorate and the wider charity to articulate our work and build strong funding propositions.

Leadership & Relationship Management:

• Lead and manage the Trusts and Philanthropy Executive by developing skills, conducting appraisals and overseeing ongoing development.
• Lead & steward a portfolio of existing charitable trusts and foundations, and cultivate new potential donors, ensuring their support is recognised and celebrated.
• Ensure funders are thanked promptly and that grant terms and conditions are applied.
• Provide progress reports and manage all formal reporting requirements on time.
• Build relationships in person, by phone, email, or virtual meetings to secure long-term commitment.
• Identify opportunities for funders to meet key staff and attend events and site visits that strengthen their relationship with the charity.
• Implement the High Value Donor Stewardship Plan.
• Take a proactive role in developing assets such as appeals and cultivation events.
• Work with colleagues across the charity to monitor and evaluate funded projects, producing reports that demonstrate impact.

Administration and Reporting:

• Manage trust prospects and donors on the CRM database, ensuring records are accurate and compliant with fundraising regulations.
• Budget management, cost control forecasting and taking corrective action to achieve budgets.
• Use the CRM database to manage task “actions”, prioritise and evaluate opportunities, and record funder interactions.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of high value relationships.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure grant applications are coordinated across the organisation.

Education & Qualifications:

• Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Experience:

• Significant experience and track record in trust fundraising.
• Experience of writing compelling proposals and appeals.
• Proven experience of working as part of a team to deliver ambitious income targets.
• Experience in undertaking prospect research and creating a pipeline of prospects through to cultivation, ask and stewardship.
• Experience of securing and managing statutory funding desirable.
• Demonstrable experience of using fundraising or relationship management databases.

Title: Group Programme and Events Lead

Reports to:  Associate Director of Business and Operations  

Based: Remotely – however must travel as and when required to meetings and events.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm; Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. (Hours may vary on event days or when event planning calls are scheduled outside of standard working hours)

Job Purpose: To organise the planning and implementation of Programmes & Events and maintain a high level of accuracy and detail throughout.

The role: Arrhythmia Alliance Group is recruiting a Group Programme and Events Lead on a full-time, permanent, remote basis. Your skills will be essential in strengthening the charities profile through programmes and event planning and coordination.

You will support the organisation with its’ programme and events portfolio by developing healthy, professional, relationships at all levels. You will also showcase initiatives taken and their key impact in making a real difference in people's lives.

Main responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, attend and execute charity programmes and events.

- Research and oversee all event logistics, including agendas, venue selection, room allocation, contract negotiations, transportation, accommodation and catering arrangements.

- Liaise effectively with various vendors and service providers.

- Develop and manage budgets, providing financial reports and forecasts to senior management.

The key purpose of the permanent Philanthropy Manager position is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs in order ensure the long-term health of the Philanthropy pipeline. They will do this by personally managing a portfolio of key individual relationships as well as line-managing the Philanthropy Officer to deliver against their targets. This role, together with Battersea’s other Philanthropy Managers, will also work closely with senior leadership, senior volunteers and other individuals to open up networks and introduce new major donors to Battersea.

The fixed-term Philanthropy Manager position is is a new role working within Battersea’s Philanthropy & Trusts team to seek and secure new income as part of a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal over the next 3 years. One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. Job Summary

The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage and grow our portfolio of major donors, corporate supporters, and strategic partners. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged, and inspired to deepen their relationship with us.

A key part of the role will involve proactively identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, developing compelling propositions, crafting funding proposals, and pitching confidently to decision‑makers at all levels. You will help implement robust cultivation plans and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation across all partnership activity.

You will also work collaboratively across the wider Fundraising Team - including with the Fundraising Officer - supporting campaigns, events, and individual giving where needed.

This is a home‑based position with travel required for meetings and events across the UK. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growing Corporate and Strategic Partnerships

• Drive the growth of corporate fundraising through proactive identification, research and cultivation of new corporate prospects.
• Develop innovative, mutually beneficial partnership opportunities, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Charity of the Year, sponsorships, staff fundraising, corporate challenge events, payroll giving and cause‑related marketing.
• Create compelling propositions tailored to corporate audiences.

• Strong understanding of the corporate sector, CSR and corporate fundraising mechanisms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering pitches and proposals.
• Excellent project and time‑management skills.
• Understanding of ethical fundraising and GDPR compliance.
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to adopt new technologies.

Summary Of The Role

The Governance Manager & Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation operates smoothly, transparently, and in line with best practice. About the role

Since Crick’s inception in 2015, its external funding portfolio has steadily grown and diversified with funding now received from a broad range of national and international funding bodies, each with their own regulations, policies and conditions.

As Senior Manager – Post-Award Grant Compliance, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Crick’s continued adherence to funder terms and conditions. You’ll lead the development and implementation of robust post-award grant processes, working across internal teams to provide expert guidance on compliance and regulatory requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for external funding bodies, you’ll maintain a deep understanding of funder policies and ensure that grants and contracts are managed accordingly.  As an experienced post-award professional, you will have familiarity with business-as-usual research finance practices including project reconciliation using general ledger reports, funder invoicing, journal posting, budgeting, income recognition and other month-end processes.

As a senior member of the Finance and Grants team, you’ll also provide leadership support by deputising for the Post-Award Team Lead when required, a responsibility that could lead to future opportunities for line management. Drawing on your experience within a higher education or research-intensive environment, you will have extensive experience of post award management along with clear evidence of adding value and improving processes in previous roles.  This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to influence best practice across the organisation so you will need to be a strong leader who is confidence in the training and development of others striving for best practice.  Previous experience in the development and implementation of systems would be highly desirable.

As a Senior Manager – Post-Award Grant Compliance at the Crick, you will:

• Provide specialist expertise in matters pertaining to grant compliance and ensure that grant funded research at the Crick is compliant.

• Develop and refine robust business processes and IT system controls

• Be responsible for the development and improvement of post-award procedures, SOPs and systems to enable efficient and effective grant support.

Role Summary:

The Smile Trian UK Senior Manager, Individual Giving leads on the development and delivery of the individual donor offline fundraising program, responsible for the acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation of individual donors through various channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing and SMS and Print. Employing a test-and-learn approach across the programme and liaising closely with the Digital Fundraising Director and the Direct Marketing Global Working Group, the role contributes to the development of Smile Train’s global fundraising strategy. 

Serving as the local subject matter expert in direct marketing and fundraising data, you will translate complex data into easy-to-understand takeaways for the UK Fundraising Director and senior leadership ensuring that Smile Train is able to efficiently and effectively raise funds to continue transforming the lives of our beneficiaries.

This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity starting as soon as possible. Ability to travel, when necessary, for agency partner visits and organizational events is required.

• Collaborate with the UK Director of Fundraising in the development of the offline Individual Giving Strategy and other key initiatives and keep them updated and fully briefed regarding their implementation

Specific Responsibilities:

Direct Mail 

• Execute offline acquisition and retention campaigns including review of direct mail kit laser and insertion samples for quality control
• Effectively manage external agency partners and provide strategic direction on all direct mail campaigns
• Conduct testing to optimise creative and evaluate results to make data-driven decisions for future mail concepts 
• Manage direct mail creative development, ensure brand compliance and provide directive on content/messaging
• Participate in weekly production call with creative and production agencies to review status of deliverables for all campaigns

DRTV 

• Execute all aspects of Direct Response Television (DRTV) donor acquisition program, including:

• • Set-up of inbound telemarketing and SMS with telemarketing agency
  • Manage creative review and development
  • Manage weekly performance review and provide updates and recommendations to vendor
  • Review and approve media buying plans
  • Manage source code assignment and upload to database

• Management of external creative, media and contact centre agencies 
• Strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting 

Sustainer Program

• Manage all monthly Direct Debit and other regular individual donations 
• Manage the execution of the donor journey for all regular donors and the conversion, upgrade and reactivation efforts

Other Duties

• Working with external agencies, develop effective testing methodology to inform long-term investment decisions
• Execute all offline acquisition campaigns in diversification of new donor sources (e.g. Package Inserts)
• Approve cost estimates and media plans ensuring spend to budget across all campaigns
• Build and manage the offline individual giving programme budget across all channels
• Manage all invoice processing and complete monthly accruals for Finance

The focus of the Senior Fundraising Manager role will be to deliver and run the successful fundraising appeals and draws function, delivering against targets of c. £1.25m for 2025/26.
