Kids is looking for a Senior Trust Fundraiser. This is a fantastic role for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take the next step in their career. Working in a supportive and well established team, you will have the autonomy and agency to lead in developing innovative new funding asks working closely with service delivery colleagues. You will manage, maintain and enhance relationships with a portfolio of our existing partners and identify, approach and win the support of new supporters to expand our work. Through working collaboratively across the charity and producing high quality reports to our donors, you will see the tangible impact of your work on the lives of the disabled children and young people supported by the projects you fund.

You will work remotely but be in regular contact with our friendly and supportive team, with experienced colleagues on hand to answer any questions or lend a hand just a call, email or message away.

It’s a great time to join our Fundraising and Engagement team as we grown and diversify our income so that we can reach at least 120,000 disabled children and young people a year by 2027. As part of our Trusts and Foundations team you will work closely with a fellow Senior Trust Fundraiser and the Head of Trust Fundraising to raise vital funds to support Kids work (around £800k team target for this year).

What you will be doing as a Senior Trust Fundraiser:

• You will proactively and strategically develop national and regional funding bids, leading Kids relationships with a varied portfolio of funders.
• You will create and coordinate cross organisational project development groups and manage diverse priorities and input to craft national fundable projects that support the organisational strategies.
• You will build on relationships with existing supporters, working with service delivery staff to evidence impact in narrative and quantitative reports on funded projects and developing strategic applications to secure further support.
• You will ensure there is professional account management for all funders including updating on relevant developments within Kids, and to providing a range of opportunities to engage further with Kids work.

Personal qualities / experience required for the role of Senior Trust Fundraiser:

• You will have a minimum of two years’ experience as a trust fundraiser and a strong understanding of the sector
• You will have excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft coherent and compelling cases for support based on varied and complex information
• You will have an understanding of budgets and feel comfortable fielding questions about charity finances
• You will be confident in managing stakeholder relationships with a varied audience and have the ability to be responsive to different communication preferences and expectations
• You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills plus the ability to correspond with external and internal audiences
• Experience of using Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint

The role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support the Executive Director and senior leadership team to become more effective and strategic in their work. They will provide support to the leadership and governance of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, Director of Finance and Operations and other team members as required to provide high-quality administrative and communications support to the organisation. The Executive Administrator will build strong relationships across GGF’s global team. The Executive Administrator will perform key support and clerical functions - preparing correspondence, research and briefings, handling confidential information, and taking notes at meetings. They will also support the management of large, often cross-functional organisation-wide initiatives, bringing together important stakeholders to help drive decisions. They will be responsible for calendar management (arranging conference calls among vast time zones)  and travel logistics. 

In the present accountability structures, the Executive Administrator reports to the Executive Director while building and working in more collaborative ways.

The candidate profile.

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment. 

They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. 

English fluency is a must.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll proactively create development opportunities with individuals, corporate partners, granting giving trusts / foundations, and community groups. You'll oversee the Development Assistant and Development Volunteers to grow a volunteer development team, bringing our cause to life and building lasting support from within our local community.

Main Duties:

● Create development strategies which identify and deliver resources to enable the charity to carry out its ambitious strategic objectives, toward achieving its Vision and Mission.

● Identify and build good relationships with key individuals and corporate decision makers, securing them as development partners who go on to resource the Charity’s work.

● Develop, monitor and manage a development portfolio capable of maintaining charity income levels in excess of £1M per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked, and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

● Line-manage the Development Assistant to support and deliver the Charity’s development outcomes. Including work-planning, supervision and support.

o Support the Development Assistant to create Community development assets, which enable community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as charitable fundraising events.

o Support the Development Assistant to develop strong individual donor relations with regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems; growing supporters.

o Together with the Development Assistant, work with and support external consultants to help secure income from grant giving trusts and foundations.

o Together with the Development Assistant, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As part of a network ‘learning set’, you and your team will proactively take advantage of training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

● Strong experience of liaising with key individuals / corporate decision makers to win results.

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, through which you inspire, motivate, and win support.

NB. Experience of charitable fundraising is not essential when demonstrating the strong transferable skills above.

Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia and Alzheimer’s disease research charity, is seeking a Head of Philanthropy to lead the organisation’s work with their philanthropy audiences including major donors, trusts and foundations.

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) works to encourage debate, drive collaboration, and build partnerships across academia and industry that increase the probability of transforming discoveries from the lab bench into treatments for people living with dementia. Since funding their first project in 1998, the charity has now committed over £171 million of funding for ground-breaking dementia research.
As part of the ARUK Leadership Team, the Head of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in leading the charity to accelerate progress towards a cure. Working closely with the senior stakeholders across ARUK, the post-holder will lead the organisation’s philanthropy work by defining and implementing the team’s strategy and ensuring that these plans support the charity’s vision, mission and strategic objectives. 
The Head of Philanthropy will lead a team of approximately 8-10 people. The role holder will also personally lead on relationships with a small group of ARUK’s most generous supporters, and prospective supporters, across Philanthropy audiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a philanthropy team to deliver significant income growth, as well as demonstrable knowledge and experience of major gift fundraising. They will have a background in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and a proven track record in establishing, monitoring, and achieving ambitious fundraising targets.

Alongside excellent communication and planning skills, they will be highly motivated and target driven as well as being a strong team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. They will also possess strong negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills, with an ability to present arguments logically and confident and to inspire confidence and respect at all levels.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The Director of Development Operations plays a critical role in significantly growing development income at Kew, leading a high-performance team and developing and embedding best practice fundraising across the Development Directorate and broader Kew. You will lead the Research, Stewardship, Fundraising Campaign and Events teams and will manage the Development Directorate’s strategy development and delivery planning. You will facilitate positive and productive engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation, including marketing, communications, science and horticulture, for example co-creating fundraising campaigns, project propositions and impact reporting. 

Working with the Associate Director, Campaigns and the Executive Director of Development, this role leads on implementing Kew’s major public fundraising campaign, achieving significant income targets, strengthening Kew’s fundraising capabilities and helping to establish a culture of philanthropy across the organisation. You will be a member of the Development Directorate leadership team and support our Trustees and Development Council to engage with our fundraising efforts.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fundraising and/or marketing, and be an expert in one or more of the Development Operations functional areas (Research, Stewardship, Campaigns and Events). With a proven track record in leading high-performance teams, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and influencing skills to build strong relationships across the organisation. You will be a strategic thinker, able to translate ambition into deliverable impact. You are organised, persistent and proactive, able to work at pace and deliver to a high standard. You have strong analytical skills and able to communicate complex information effectively.   

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
