Crisis is the national charity for homeless people, working side by side with thousands of people each year as they find ways out of homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable; we know that together we can end it.

About the role
As we embark on a new ten-year strategy, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a radical and ambitious approach to partnerships with businesses, building on the successful partnerships we have with Lloyds Banking Group, Specsavers, Taylor Wimpey, Berkeley Homes and many more.
This pivotal role will lead the development of a corporate and commercial engagement strategy across Crisis, growing and deepening our portfolio of corporate partners, broadening their support for our organisation and our cause, and inspiring them to act within their businesses. The role also involves leading the continued development of our fundraising and partnerships outside of London, creating a national support network to end homelessness.
While the role is directly responsible for strategic and corporate partnerships, the post holder will lead across the charity, ensuring a joined-up approach across retail, service delivery (including Crisis at Christmas), brand partnerships, venture philanthropy, investments, and innovation.
The role also involves membership of the Brand, Marketing & Fundraising senior team and the organisation’s Senior Leadership Group, where it plays an important organisation-wide leadership role. Additional investment has recently been made in the team, and senior leadership and the Board have committed to supporting its success.

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity. Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Lead on meeting the relevant organisational objectives in RYH Strategic Plan.

Fundraising Product Development:
- Lead the testing of potential fundraising products, such as new events or stewardship packages.

The Mass Market team’s mission is to inspire the UK public to financially support the IRC in order to help people impacted by conflict and disaster. The main purpose of this role is to support the Director, Mass Markets UK in generating long-term sustainable growth, maximising net unrestricted revenue and developing a supporter-centric fundraising model.
As the Senior Acquisition Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Acquisition strategy and programme across cause and prize-led programmes, supported by a team of three. You will be responsible for significantly growing the supporter base and meeting income targets by optimising our multi-channel cash and regular giving programmes and expanding into new products, channels and audiences. You will respond to emergency appeals led by IRC, and as a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee, ensuring speed to market and maximum net revenue are prioritised at all times.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy and programme development (50%)
- In consultation with Director of Mass Markets, UK, lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the UK Acquisition strategy and operational plan
· Maintain and develop a monitoring and reporting framework for acquisition activity and associated KPIs that show the performance of the acquisition strategy
- Oversee donor acquisition and revenue activities across cash, regular giving, lead gen, lottery and the mid-level portfolio
· Deliver emergency appeals both as IRC and as a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee, review and develop processes and collaborate with other departments and the DEC to ensure speed to market and maximum net revenue during activation

- Keep up to date with the sector developments and benchmarking in individual giving and digital fundraising to ensure IRC is at the forefront of fundraising developments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Driven and proactive with a solutions-based attitude and the ability to motivate a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage, influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
· Detailed understanding of the digital fundraising environment and of managing a face-to-face and other offline channels, including agency management
· Ability to manage sophisticated budgets and performance forecasting models
· Comprehensive understanding and experience of audience segmentation, analytical modelling such as LTV and use of insights to drive strategy and performance
· Commercial mindset, with the ability to set and evaluate short and long-term strategic objectives and pivot based on results
· Numerate with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
· Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, especially the ability to manage a complex, varied and substantial team workload
· Detailed understanding of UK gambling legislation and compliance requirements relating to prize-led fundraising

· Institute of Fundraising, Cass or comparable qualifications would be an advantage.
Experience:
· Experience of leading a fast-paced, high performing team
· Senior-level experience of leading individual giving programmes, with a proven track record of successfully running a multi-product portfolio (preferably across cause and prize-led products)
· Detailed understanding of UK gambling legislation and compliance requirements relating to prize-led fundraising
· Detailed understanding and management of cash and recurring revenue business models
· Experience of taking new products to market
· Experience and understanding of creative process and relationship with brand identity through different channels and audiences
· Experience working for a centralised, international organisation would be a strong advantage
· Experience using a CRM system.

● Develop, monitor and manage a development portfolio capable of maintaining charity income levels in excess of £1M per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked, and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
● Line-manage the Development Assistant to support and deliver the Charity’s development outcomes. Including work-planning, supervision and support.
o Support the Development Assistant to create Community development assets, which enable community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as charitable fundraising events.
o Support the Development Assistant to develop strong individual donor relations with regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems; growing supporters.
o Together with the Development Assistant, work with and support external consultants to help secure income from grant giving trusts and foundations.
o Together with the Development Assistant, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.
● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia and Alzheimer’s disease research charity, is seeking a Head of Philanthropy to lead the organisation’s work with their philanthropy audiences including major donors, trusts and foundations.
Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) works to encourage debate, drive collaboration, and build partnerships across academia and industry that increase the probability of transforming discoveries from the lab bench into treatments for people living with dementia. Since funding their first project in 1998, the charity has now committed over £171 million of funding for ground-breaking dementia research.
As part of the ARUK Leadership Team, the Head of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in leading the charity to accelerate progress towards a cure. Working closely with the senior stakeholders across ARUK, the post-holder will lead the organisation’s philanthropy work by defining and implementing the team’s strategy and ensuring that these plans support the charity’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
The Head of Philanthropy will lead a team of approximately 8-10 people. The role holder will also personally lead on relationships with a small group of ARUK’s most generous supporters, and prospective supporters, across Philanthropy audiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a philanthropy team to deliver significant income growth, as well as demonstrable knowledge and experience of major gift fundraising. They will have a background in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and a proven track record in establishing, monitoring, and achieving ambitious fundraising targets.
Alongside excellent communication and planning skills, they will be highly motivated and target driven as well as being a strong team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. They will also possess strong negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills, with an ability to present arguments logically and confident and to inspire confidence and respect at all levels.

What we are looking for in you
