One in seven people in the UK experience tinnitus. This role will positively and proactively innovate, manage and improve Tnnitus UK' sservices and build on the reputation of Tinnitus UK to date. This role leads Tinnitus UK's efforts in providing direct support to Tinnitus through multiple channels including telephone, and online. In addition liaises with regional support group leaders in the provision of support, face to face and locally. Given that Tinnitus UK is the only charity in the UIK to provide such services delivery of these services at the highest standard is essential and consequently enhances the reputation of the charity,
The position is responsible for the development of the strategic and annual plans associated with the provision of these support services, and has direct day to day responsibility for implementing them through multiple channels (helpline services, support group and volunteer programme, events) nationally in Tinnitus UK.
This role provides strategic oversight and management of the services portfolio (helpline services, support group and volunteer programme, events) nationally in Tinnitus UK. The post holder works with the Chief Exeutive and the rest of the Leadership team to deliver services, ensuring that goats are achieved through effective management practices, that staff are motivated and supported to builo sustainable services to meet the needs and expectations of the tinnitus community and working closesly with research to remain up to date on the latest understanding of the issues that cause tinnitus and solutions that help address and mitigate the challenges facing sufferers. The role ensures that all activities are carried out in accordace with statutory requirements, quality standards, information governance requiremens and organisational policies.
This role will maintain and develop Tinnitus UK's digital offerings, ensuring these are delivered in ways that help and encourage people to access our services now and in the future. This will include maintaining and monitoring existing servces and developing, testing and embedding new ones.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement our services strategy
- Strategice and operational oversight of all Tinnitus UK's services to the tinnitus community, optimising both digital and traditional models and ensuring relevance and quality
- Innovatively improve and extend Tinnitus UK service proviision, with a primary focus on people living with tinnitus, recognising that Support Services should be availabke at all times when people need them, calling for a strong digital capability
- Identify relevant people and organisations and build relationships to enable better support around the UK for poeple with tinnitus.
- Work with all staff to ensure Tinnitus UK's information and engagement services are understood and well delivered by all staff.
2. Intergrated approach to service user involvement
- Continually analyse and understand the needs of people with tinnitus, care givers, regional co-ordinators, partners and other stakeholders and develop appropriate services to meet them
- Ensure Tinnitus UK's support group network maintain best practice and work with colleagues to identify under-performing groups and develop action plans for improvement
- Establish links with key internal teams and external bodies, managing risk and helping to evaluate our involvement in partnerships and collaborative work.
3. Understanding he needs of the tinnitus community
- Run focus groups to fully understand the needs of people with tinnitus
4. Develop Tinnitus UK's outreach services to people who experience tinnitus
- Lead strategic development of Tinnitus UK's helpline and other outreach services.
- Identify gaps in tinnitus support service provision and work with colleagues to ensure they are filled
- Ensure connectivity between service users' journey across Tinnitus UK's services
- Oversee development of Tinnitus UK's chatbot function in relation to tinnitus support
5. Volunteering and placements
- Work with relevant staff to develop the programme for internal and external volunteering opportunities designed to enhance service delivery and encourage growth of individual volunteers
- Coordinate placements as and when required to ensure the organisation benefits from them
6. Events
- Work with relevant staff to implement a programme of events (conferences, awareness events, training courses) to meet the needs of the tinnitus community
- Lead the innovation of events, using digital and other tools to widen their availability to make them more diverse
7. Quality
- Lead Tinnitus UK's work to assess social impact and value
- Ensure Tinnitus UK's tinnitus support services are founded on evidence-based research and that our advice to people living with tinnitus remains accurate and appropriate in response to developments in the treatment of tinnitus.

8. Leadership
- Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure oversight of strategic and operational matters and support the Chief Executive
- Lead the development and delivery of Tinnitus UK's annual operational business for Services and contribute to the overall charity's business plan
- Provide evidence, data and ideas to support the fundraising team to develop proposals to underpin Tinnitus UK services.
9. Drive change and maximise our potential
- Explore cost effective digital solutions that optimise our use of resources
- Apply management techniques, tools and solutions to drive the change and transition to greater use of digital tools in service delivery

- Co-ordinate and attend internal and external meetings and events

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are now inviting suitable candidates to apply for the role of Service Lead. This position will manage a team of around 20 Employment Advisors (EAs) and Senior Employment Advisors (SEAs). The role will be guided and supported by a Head of Services, as well as Twining’s established and experienced Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

THE ROLE – SERVICE LEAD
You will be responsible for the ongoing day to day leadership and management of the Employment Advisors (EAs) and Senior Employment Advisors (SEAs) in Talking Therapies service across Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow.
You will liaise with managers, clinicians and GPs across the NHS primary care pathways to ensure that services are coordinated and pathways into, and out of, the service are managed effectively and efficiently.
You will ensure the service operates in line with national guidance related to Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies and gives consideration to wider disability employment and retention support models, whilst striving to achieve and maintain national best practice in this field.
You will ensure the team develops in a manner that facilitates clients being referred to the service quickly, so they do not remain unsupported whilst on sick leave, and then support them to return to work swiftly (where appropriate), or to follow the destination that is best suited to their circumstances, enabling individuals to achieve positive service experience outcomes.
You will work in partnership with key stakeholders and contract managers.
This role will require someone experienced in leading the delivery of a mental health support programme, whilst managing and meeting commissioner performance expectations.
SERVICE LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. To develop and manage the Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies Service, providing high quality, timely assessment and support interventions, including signposting for specialist external advice such as ACAS, welfare benefits advice, union or specialist employment law advice.
2. To have specialist knowledge and understanding of employment support and retention to be able to promote an early intervention model, which predominately focusing on supporting people into their preferred job choice, supporting them to remain in work, or enabling them to gain early access to advice and support to reduce the risk of not starting or losing their employment.
3. To manage the performance activity, data quality and service delivery of the team and ensure they provide an integrated and effective service.
4. To ensure the staff have an understanding of the process and philosophy of the positive benefits that work can have on an individual’s health, as well as understanding the benefit of early intervention and support for those at risk of losing their employment due to poor mental health, disabilities, health conditions or issues at work.
5. To oversee the development of new initiatives within the Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies Service in line with national best practice and planning capacity for the team to meet the anticipated increases in demand for the service as a result of changes in the economy or incidence of poor mental health.
6. Ensure the service works within national and locally agreed frameworks and develop key performance indicators if none exist.
7. To ensure that the team has appropriate arrangements in place to guarantee that efficient, effective, equitable and economical services are provided to all clients.
8. To respond to complaints and suggestions from clients and carers in accordance with policies and procedures, and to participate as appropriate in the investigation of complaints, grievances, significant events and disciplinary manners in accordance with polices and present the outcome of the investigations to the relevant personnel.
9. To lead the team in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.
10. To monitor the workload and performance of team members using electronic systems to monitor performance.
11. Provide reports to senior managers and stakeholders regarding activity and exception reports for information.
12. To provide regular line management supervision to members of the team.
13. Ensure all team staff receive annual Appraisals and have personal development plans in place.
14. To participate in own Appraisal to ensure development and planning.
15. To agree and monitor explicit performance targets with staff relevant to service delivery.
16. To monitor staff sickness and absence and offer appropriate counselling or appropriate actions.
17. To recruit new staff to vacancies that may arise within the service.
18. To promote and foster good relations with other teams and agencies and stakeholders, ensuring that any issues are addressed at the earliest stage.
19. To ensure that full and appropriate use is made of information systems and that all relevant activity and intervention is recorded appropriately to enable access to information regarding individual clients and also aggregated data.
20. To attend regular management and planning meetings, workshops and conferences relating to health issues and employment, as appropriate.
21. To remain well informed about the national agenda for Employment and Retention, health and social care, and the economic picture.
22. To keep abreast with current best practice in the field and continue to foster a network of specialist support for those who are employed but need support.
23. To make presentations, where appropriate, to staff, clinical colleagues or management groups regarding current national or local issues.
24. To implement and support any performance management systems agreed by senior managers. To regularly monitor and audit systems and records to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
25. To take note of and, where appropriate, act upon any external audits or reviews that are of relevance to the team.

27. Provide the team with specialist advice for more complex cases as required.
28. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post and as required by your manager.
The role holder must also:
1. Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an Enhanced level.
2. Possess excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as experience updating and maintaining databases.
3. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service performance requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.
4. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.
5. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

The role
This exciting role within NLOS’s senior management team was created to help bring greater strategic alignment across NLOS and its charities and to better capitalise on new and existing opportunities. The post is critical to ensuring that we maximise the resources available to us through increased income generation and by forging strategic partnerships across multiple sectors and fields that allow us to increase and leverage support for each charity and provide a world class customer experience, while protecting and preserving green spaces of international significance. Role Summary
As the Director of Research and Public Affairs you lead a team working across the full range of research work (including commissioning, grant-making and in-house research) and public affairs work (including policy analysis, advocacy work and mobilising our activists). You also contribute to the charity’s strategies, leadership and governance as a member of the Executive Team. Ultimately, your role is to generate new knowledge; and communicate knowledge, ideas and emotions to change hearts and minds, creating tangible reductions in alcohol harm across the UK.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Leadership, strategy & planning
1. Lead the research and public affairs functions at Alcohol Change UK.
2. Produce and deliver plans across our research and public affairs work programmes that are ambitious for change (impact), realistic given our resources, and consistent with our strategy, our other work programmes, and our values.
3. Set budgets, tightly control costs and identify opportunities for making savings, growing income and making the case for investment.
4. Appropriately monitor and evaluate our research and public affairs work with a view to knowing, growing and showing the impact we make.
Research
5. Work closely with the CEO, Policy and Research Manager, R&P sub-committee and Wales Office to determine and oversee the charity’s programme of commissioned research, research grants, and in-house research.
6. Ensure that all research is designed with impact-in-mind and, once complete, that it delivers on that impact through active and ongoing communication of the findings to the right audiences with the right messages through the right channels.
7. Lead the research function to be the central hub for the charity on the topic of alcohol harm and its solutions, staying on top of new research.
8. Influence the research spending of other agencies (e.g. NIHR) with a view to maximising funding into alcohol research in general.
Public Affairs
9. Lead and manage the charity’s public affairs activity, deploying the CEO, Research & Policy Officer and other staff as a team.
10. Lead our work with external alliances, such as the Alcohol Health Alliance and the Alcohol and Families Alliance, and on the APPG on Alcohol Harm.
11. Develop excellent relationships with Parliamentarians, civil servants, charities and other important institutional actors in our field.
12. Build Campaigner journeys for our engagement audience to best mobilise them to help us with our influencing work.
13. Lead on the commissioning and management of any external public affairs agencies, parliamentary monitoring services and similar suppliers.
14. Ensure our policy positions are kept up-to-date, based on emerging evidence and contemporary thinking, and consistent with our principles.
15. Work closely with the Director of Engagement and Fundraising to effectively mobilise and deploy our activists, Community Champions and other supporters so they (i) make a difference, (ii) become better informed over time, and (iii) remain motivated to campaign for our cause.
16. Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to influence all forms of media to better support our desired outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit to join the wider Compliance, Audit and Risk team at SIG! You will have the overall responsibility of keeping participants, residents, and staff safe. The team manages the development, monitoring, and reporting of several areas including but not limited to accidents, incidents, and near misses (AINMs), safety reviews, safeguarding, whistleblowing, complaints, policy and procedure, health and safety, internal audit, business continuity planning and data protection.
As The Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit, you are the lynchpin of the wider team, linking strategic vision with solid and accountable implementation. You will be responsible for developing the team in the broad space of compliance as well as in their own areas of specialism, ensuring that a transparent and accountable compliance framework is implemented and embedded in line with regulatory and legislative change.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At least 2 days per week in central office (Islington) and our services which are in and around London, Brighton & Hove, Kent, Havering, Bedford, Luton, Nottingham, and Liverpool.
The additional 3 days can be worked from home. You may at times be required to visit a service more than 2 times within a week.

- Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
- Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance
- Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
- Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.

Reporting and Analysis
- Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
- Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis
Data Protection
- Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
- Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
- Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

Head of Wellbeing and Grants – The Solicitors’ Charity
We’re looking for a Head of Wellbeing and Grants to provide collaborative leadership to the Wellbeing and Grants Team and its operations, which are the centre of the Charity’s core charitable activities. As well as running a personal caseload, you’ll work with the team to develop a systematic approach/methodology to case management practice and review, rooted in case management best practice.
Salary c£56,500 to c£63,500 rising to c£57,500 to £64,500 after a 6-month probationary period. The point on these salary ranges at which you will be paid is dependent on your location.

The Head of Wellbeing and Grants role
We have recently agreed our strategy for 2024-2026 and one of the focus areas will be, with the CEO and others, to ensure the successful implementation of the 3-year Strategy, focussing on the Wellbeing and Grants aspects of the strategic aims.
As holder of this senior role, you will lead in collaboratively designing and implementing a consistent methodology for, and systematic approach to, new and existing clients contacting the Charity. Following the launch of a brand new strategy in April 2024, they are seeking a Head of Strategic Financial Planning & Control to support in the continued growth of the charity.
Cycling UK works to campaign for cycling-friendly policies, advocating for cyclists’ voices on issues such as safety, active travel schemes and funding, the benefits of cycling on the environment, and much more. Cycling UK are also passionate about enabling cycling for all, running critical programmes to address the barriers to cycling people can face, to ensure cycling is inclusive and accessible to all.
During the last 5 years Cycling UK has experienced significant growth and development as cycling has assumed a greater role within the active travel sector and the post-pandemic recovery. As part of the next phase of implementing a new organisational strategy with a view to further growth, Cycling UK are looking for a finance leader to support in day to day running of our finances as well as driving longer-term transformation and strategic ambitions.
The Role
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Strategic Financial Planning & Control is a pivotal position within the Cycling UK team. Working as part of the leadership team within Cycling UK, this is an important role in leading the finance team and working to enhance the organisation’s longer-term strategic vision.
- Line management of the finance team members (4 reports) including supporting the development of all direct reports;
- Leading the preparation and implementation of a multi-year plan and annual budget aligned with our business planning and programme management processes;
- Lead budget and forecast reviews at appropriate intervals in the financial year to ensure accurate and timely forecasts of income and expenditure;
- Collaborating with the Chief Operating Officer, Senior leadership team and Heads of department to develop and embed a robust finance strategy which supports the delivery of our organisational strategy and aligns with our growth aspirations;
- Develop and maintain an effective system of financial controls that ensure the safeguarding of charity assets and the reliability of the financial statements;
- Lead the preparation and production of the annual report and accounts;
- Oversight for all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and ledgers;
What’s in it for you?
- Salary £51,000 - £57,000 per annum
- Hybrid working: 1-2 days per week in Guildford or London office

Your Background:
You will be CCAB qualified or equivalent
You will have previous staff management experience
You will have natural strengths in finance business partnering, being able to communicate financial matters to non-finance stakeholders
You will be self-motivated and ambitious, passionate about supporting in Cycling UK’s growth
Prior experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable though not essential.

The opportunity
Our client is the charity for the working animal of the world. Since 1923, working through a series of global projects and partnerships across 23 low-income countries, it has supported the welfare of working donkeys, horses, camels, oxen and other working animals in communities that depend on them for water, transport, agriculture, and their very survival.
As part of the charity’s ambitious strategic development plans, they are recruiting a Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships. In this role, you will pro-actively lead the development of their Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team as it seeks to acquire new charity partnerships and high value donors and build on their existing funding base. You will be comfortable with using a wide range of fundraising and marketing channels to acquire new funders, as well as steward existing donors.

Your key responsibilities include:
Philanthropy and fundraising partnerships programme management
- Lead on the development and operational delivery of the philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy, encompassing work across the high-value donor, legacies, trusts, and corporate fundraising income streams.
- Lead on maintaining our clients relationships with existing high-value donors and funders, through the provision of exemplary stewardship.
- Drive the development and testing of new means of acquiring high-value donors and funders for them, to deliver sustainable growth.
- Oversee the continued development and growth of their global legacy programme, including the production of legacy mailings, telemarketing, offline and digital advertising, and features, as well as correspondence with supporters, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead on work to develop our forecasting of annual legacy income with our legacy pipeline.
- Drive the development of their corporate fundraising programme, working with Global Programmes colleagues and partners based in the countries where they work.
- Work with colleagues to ensure new funding opportunities for high-value donors and funders are identified and actively pursued.
- Work with colleagues to ensure restricted income is managed according to donors’ wishes and restricted funds are managed effectively across Global Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, Global Resources and Global Programmes.
Team management
- Develop and manage the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team’s activity plan and budget.
- Provide supportive and dynamic line management for members of the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team, including facilitating regular supervision meetings and supporting their personal development and training.
- Serve as a member of the Global Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Leadership Team.
- Keep up to date with the latest legislative and statutory developments relating to the role, advising staff and the Senior Leadership Team as appropriate.
- Uphold and promote their values, policies, and procedures across all work.
Your knowledge:
- Proven knowledge of fundraising and/or marketing.
- Excellent knowledge of high-value donor, trusts, corporate and legacy fundraising strategies, and activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of fundraising techniques, including audience and donor segmentation, analytical modelling, and the use of insight to drive performance.
- A strong knowledge of global animal welfare, within an international development context is desirable.
- Fundraising training and qualification are desirable.
Your experience:
- Demonstrable experience of managing fundraising or income-generating campaigns, nationally and internationally, including in coalition with other organisations, partners, and agencies/suppliers.
- Experience of managing and overseeing high value giving, legacies, trusts, statutory and corporate fundraising programmes, and activities, to maximise income.
- Experience of developing new products/activities and taking them to market.
- Experience of developing, building, and maintaining relationships with high-value stakeholders.
- Experience of line management and building a collaborative, high-performance team.
- Experience of representing organisations on consortia or in partnership activities (desirable).
- Experience working in a charity or not-for-profit environment is desirable.
Your skills:
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with the proven ability to develop strong cases for support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors and funders.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to understand data requirements and functions.
- Able to work out-of-business hours when required.
- A strong commitment to their vision, mission, and values.
