An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Fundraising to join the team during a period of growth . As Head of Fundraising, you will lead the Fundraising team in the strategic planning, execution and management of the charity’s fundraising activities. You will be responsible for overseeing various fundraising channels, fostering partnerships, and implementing innovative strategies to drive income generation for the charity with a focus on Community Fundraising. It is a full-time, permanent role, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in fundraising or related roles, preferably in a senior managerial capacity with a good grasp of community fundraising. You will have a proven track record of successful income generation and strategic planning as well as line management experience of geographically dispersed teams. Your strong leadership, managerial and networking skills will allow you to create strategic relationships as well build high performing teams. You will be a strong communicator who can work in a collegiate manner with different functions and confidently articulate the charity and its mission both internally and with wider stakeholders. About the role
We now seek our first Director of Development to work closely with the Master, Bursar, and Governing Body, to take the lead on all fundraising and alumni relations activities. You will have operational responsibility for College cultivation events, giving programmes, major gifts, international, legacy prospect management and alumni relations, as well as bid-writing and proposal writing. The post provides a unique opportunity within the collegiate university to work across a broad range of areas within a small but ambitious Development Office.

Coeliac UK currently has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing, to join our team in High Wycombe, with the option to regularly work from home by agreement with your line manager. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (will consider temporary). In return you will receive a competitive salary of £45,000-£50,000 per annum based on experience.
Coeliac UK represents over 60,000 members providing information and support to those affected by coeliac disease or following a gluten free diet. We also campaign on behalf of all those living with coeliac disease and undertake research into the causes of the disease.
The Head of Marketing role:
This is an exciting new role in an expanding team, ideal for someone who’s an established marketeer and wants to make a difference. The Marketing & Digital Directorate objectives are to raise awareness of coeliac disease, extend our reach to a wider audience, grow our reputation with a variety of audiences, and maximise engagement. The Directorate operates as an in-house agency providing consultancy, creative generation, and managing all marketing across all channels and platforms.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Marketing:
- The core responsibility is to lead and deliver against all marketing objectives across the organisation – this includes working with Fundraising, Evidence and Policy, Commercial and Membership & Volunteering Directorates to develop strategies, activities and marketing communications. The role is very varied with good opportunities to generate creative solutions across our channels, including website, email, app, events, PR, magazines and social media.
- We are also implementing a number of new initiatives for the charity including revising our Vision, Mission and Values, plus developing a new brand proposition. This will be rolled out across the year and will require the Head of Marketing to work closely with the Director of Marketing & Digital and the CEO to implement this. We are also working on a new website to launch under the new brand proposition in early 2025 – the content and activation of this falls under the remit of the Head of Marketing, with the Director of Marketing & Digital supporting on strategy, and the Head of Digital providing all delivery.
Essential experience, skills and knowledge required for the Head of Marketing role:
- More than 10 years Marketing and Communications experience with at least three years at senior management level
- Strategic leader able to see the big picture and deliver the detail
- Motivational and supportive manager able to guide and develop team members
- Cooperative team player with practical ‘can do’ attitude incorporating a flexible approach
- Evidence of successfully managing complex projects and budgets and the ability to work accurately and at pace

The Head of Development will join the central team, reporting to the CEO and will be responsible for forging relationships with funders, as well as identifying opportunities to engage with local community groups.
They will share the Social Change Nest’s ambitions to transform funding for grass roots organisations and coalitions by reimagining fundraising, removing structural barriers and encouraging institutional funders to support community interests. They will oversee the Marketing, Communications & Development Assistant and one other team member and will collaborate with Risk, Compliance and the Innovation Managers. This is a busy and exhilarating role with opportunity to grow and develop. We are planning to increase the size of the team over the next year.

We nurture grassroots groups and enable funders to support frontline social action by offering fiscal hosting, grant management, grant distribution and fund management services. To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.

The appeal will raise the funds to enable a step change in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre and the impact we have for people affected by Cancer in our region. Leadership
· Champion fundraising across the organisation.
· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.
· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.
· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.

· Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.

· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·
Fundraising Development
· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal
· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income
· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.
· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·
People Management
· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.
· Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and feedback to enable them to work to the best of their ability.

Are you an experienced Risk and Insurance professional ready to take on a new challenge? Would you like to lead the Risk Management and Insurance function for a leading UK Charity?
We are looking for a Head of Risk Management and Insurance to join RBLs Legal and Assurance team to work closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Executive Board, senior leaders and Trustees on the risk strategy for RBL.
In the key role, you will help our organisation to comply with our legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements regarding all areas of risk management and insurance, and you will ensure RBL has in place sound and integrated policies, procedures and structures throughout.
Day to day you will manage the interface between Trustees, senior management and risk management arrangements of the organisation, and maintain a high standard of risk reporting, risk management and insurance.
Reporting to our Chief Finance Officer, key responsibilities will include:
- Report to the Audit & Risk Committee, ensuring the Committee has a clear view of RBLs risk exposures and the effectiveness of the risk management model
- Provide the Trustees and Executive Directors with assurance, support and information to enable them to comply with Charity Commission requirements regarding risk management
- Provide the Director General and Executive Board with regular risk management information and lead our business continuity planning.
- Manage the relationships with leaders across the organisation to understand issues and identify areas for improvement of risk management and insurance
- Consider annually the suitability of the insurance portfolio, and advise and support RBL and subsidiaries on its insurance portfolio

- Lead the delivery of our annual media and communications plan, including priority campaigns in partnership with marketing, policy and public affairs colleagues
- Oversee our busy press office, ensuring we maintain strong media relations and are achieving high impact coverage on College priorities
- Deliver proactive external communications to promote awareness and impact of RCOG programmes, projects and products
- Ensure we are effectively using our social media and digital channels to listen, engage and influence, including production of videos, podcasts and webinars, etc.

You will lead a team of two Database Officers and coach them to becoming a highly effective team.
As part of the role, you will develop strong relationships within the Fundraising team, helping to understand their needs. You will also develop and establish organisational ways of working with the database, including leading on training staff and developing a user manual to highlight good practice.
