ABOUT BRIGHTPIP

BrightPIP (Brighton Parent/Infant Psychological Therapy) is a specialist infant mental health charity supporting babies aged 0–2 and their families across Brighton & Hove and Sussex. We provide early therapeutic intervention to strengthen relationships and prevent cycles of intergenerational trauma.

We are a small, friendly and growing charity, supported by a dedicated clinical team and Trustee Board. As we expand to support up to 250 families per year, we are strengthening our operational and coordination capacity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator to grow BrightPIP’s visibility, income and community engagement. This role sits at the heart of BrightPIP’s external presence, working closely with clinicians, trustees and supporters to tell our story and build sustainable income.

This is a key role within the charity. You will lead our day-to-day marketing and communications, and support and deliver community fundraising campaigns and events. You will also build strong relationships with supporters, nurseries/schools, community groups and corporate partners.

This role is ideal for a confident self-starter who enjoys storytelling, connecting with people, and shaping a growing role within a values-driven organisation. The role will evolve as the charity grows, offering opportunities to develop new campaigns, partnerships and communications.

You will report to the Clinical Director and work closely with the clinical team, fundraiser and trustees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead BrightPIP’s marketing, communications and brand presence across digital and print channels
• Create and schedule social media content, newsletters, blogs and website updates
• Support and deliver community fundraising campaigns, events and challenge activities
• Steward supporters, families, nurseries/schools, community groups and corporate partners
• Write case studies, supporter stories and communications materials (with safeguarding oversight)
• Support press activity and media engagement
• Work closely with clinicians, the fundraiser and trustees to support BrightPIP’s growth

Role Requirements

· Develop and maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe and high-quality care.

· Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings to discuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Ensure that clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelines and evidence-based standards.

· Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a culture of transparency and reporting.

· Implement and maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring that learning from         incidents is captured and shared.

· Monitor and report on patient safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate action plans are developed.

· Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and experiences.

· Lead quality impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in practice, evaluating potential risks and benefits and manage the organisational governance in relation to these.

· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines, including CQC regulations and national safety frameworks.

· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and ensure organisational policies and practices reflect these updates.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Spiritual Care Lead

• Offer compassionate spiritual and pastoral support to patients, families and carers

Psychotherapist / Counsellor

At Prospect Hospice, we know that facing a life-limiting illness can bring profound emotional and psychological challenges for patients, families and those who care for them.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Psychotherapist or Counsellor to provide specialist psychological support to people navigating the complex emotional realities of serious illness, loss and end of life.

This is a meaningful opportunity to help people explore fear, grief, identity and resilience, while supporting clinical teams to deliver truly holistic hospice care.

The role

Working as part of our Family Support Team and wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychotherapeutic assessment and intervention for patients and families experiencing complex emotional and psychological distress.

Your work will help ensure that psychological and spiritual care remains fully integrated within our hospice services.

In this role you will:

• Provide specialist 1:1 psychotherapy and counselling for patients and families with complex psychological needs
• Support people experiencing distress related to diagnosis, illness progression, trauma, grief and loss
• Contribute psychological expertise within multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
• Provide consultation, supervision and training to staff and volunteers
• Lead reflective practice and staff support where appropriate
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of psycho-spiritual services across the hospice

Through your expertise and compassion, you will help patients and families find ways to cope, adapt and maintain dignity during some of life’s most difficult moments.

About you

You will be an experienced psychotherapist or counsellor who brings both professional expertise and emotional insight to your work.

You will have:

• A recognised counselling or psychotherapy qualification and registration or accreditation with a recognised UK professional body
• Experience delivering 1:1 psychotherapy in complex or emotionally demanding settings
• Strong skills in assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention
• Experience supporting people facing serious illness, trauma, grief or bereavement
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Activities Coordinator to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration and enhance social skills and community engagement.  No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful work in a supportive team environment.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and coordinating individual and group activities and sessions
• Delivering programmes that support residents’ goals, personal development, and reintegration
• Developing and managing calendars of activities, events, and awareness campaigns to promote social skills, community engagement, and meaningful participation
• Collecting information about activities and resident feedback to see what works well and share this with the team to improve programmes and support resident wellbeing

About You

You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. You will be able to plan and deliver a range of activities suited to individual needs and will be confident in understanding the needs of our residents to do this. We look for:

• Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
• Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team and residents on various areas

JOB FUNCTION: To lead the day-to-day delivery and development of the Foundation’s grant-making and charitable partnerships portfolio, acting as a key relationship owner for grantees and charity partners. The role will ensure high-quality stewardship, support, governance and impact reporting across existing grants, while also playing a key role in the design, development of new grant programmes aligned to the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant-making & Portfolio Management

• Support the delivery and oversight of the Foundation’s grants portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for funded organisations and ensuring high-quality stewardship.
• Lead on the organisation of regular review meetings, check ins and programme visits where appropriate.
• Help to identify where Chelsea Foundation can support partners beyond funding by identifying opportunities for added value including visibility, in-kind support and shared learning.
• Manage all core elements of the grants lifecycle, from application, due diligence and grant agreements to monitoring and review processes.
• Ensure grants are delivered in line with agreed objectives and timelines, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.
• Support the development and implementation of new grant programmes aligned with the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Impact, Learning & Communications

• Work with Impact & Evaluation and Finance colleagues to support monitoring, evaluation and learning across the grants portfolio.
• Work with Communications colleagues to contribute to internal and external communications, helping to spotlight the work of grantees and share impact and learning from grant activity.
• Maintain accurate records across agreed systems.

Charitable Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with charity partners across priority themes and geographies.
• Confidently represent the Foundation in external meetings and partnership activity.
• Assess inbound partnership enquiries and advise on appropriate routes for engagement.
• Explore opportunities for new charitable partnerships to augment and support Foundation delivery programmes.
• Support partnership activity linked to Foundation campaigns and other cross Foundation and Club initiatives.

Wider Strategic Contribution

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Foundation’s grants and charitable partnerships strategy, bringing insight from partner relationships and  frontline delivery.
• Work collaboratively with other functions in the Grants and Charitable Partnerships department (e.g. volunteering) to ensure a joined-up approach.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Foundation (e.g. Programmes) and wider Club to ensure grant-making complements and strengthens wider activity.

Experience

• Significant experience in grant-making and/or charitable partnerships roles.

Job purpose

· Forward-plan funding streams to ensure a smooth and regular flow of income that meets The Avenues’ budget (currently £1.2m p.a., much of which has been secured for the next 18 months).

· Develop existing and new relationships with funders to maximise immediate and long-term income for the organisation and its various projects.

· Write compelling proposals and applications that secure significant income from trusts and foundations, coordinating input from across The Avenues team.

· Research and identify new prospects from a diversity of sources with a view to securing medium and large grants for The Avenues.

Accountabilities and responsibilities

·  Identify and develop opportunities from a range of trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies.

· Draft, submit and manage the progress of all funding applications for The Avenues’ priority projects (approximately 30-40 applications per year).

· Develop fundraising proposal budgets in collaboration with Programme and Finance colleagues, ensuring needs are accurately costed and aligned with donor requirements.

· Work with colleagues to develop new project ideas that fit within The Avenues’ organisational goals and within budgets that meet funders’ criteria.

·  Handle the post-grant paperwork, notifying the team and updating our records.

· Develop and manage positive relationships with funders, including necessary communications with grants officers, potential major donors, corporate donors and community supporters.

· Manage the pipeline of applications and fundraising database; providing financial reporting and other management information to colleagues on a timely basis.

· Work with the Chief Executive, trustees and community volunteers to help organise our fundraising events (dinner-auction, party, quiz night, marathon). Assisting with the smooth-running of these events, including writing and producing communication materials.

·  Write the quarterly email newsletter for our supporter mailing list.

· Manage and optimise the charity’s CRM system (Beacon), ensuring fundraising contact data is accurate, well maintained, and used effectively.

· Perform other duties as required by the Chief Executive to the overall direction and running of the charity and develop productive relationships with external stakeholders.

Experience and skills

·  Excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids.

· 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams.  (Or, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.)

Finance Manager (Part-Time)

Oakleaf Enterprise is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and wider Senior Management Team. You’ll oversee all financial activity, ensure compliance with Charity SORP and relevant regulations, and support the organisation to operate efficiently and responsibly.

About the role

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. You will also manage one member of staff (Finance Administrator) and work with colleagues across the organisation to support budgeting, forecasting, project costing and grant applications.

Key responsibilities

Board & Leadership

• Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.
• Attend Board and relevant sub-committee meetings.
• Provide financial input for the Strategic Business Plan and other analysis as required.

Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, restricted/unrestricted funds and balance sheet reporting.
• Lead the year-end process with external accountants, including audit/independent exam planning, reconciliations, site visits and production of Financial Statements.
• Work with the CEO and department leads to prepare the annual budget and provide variance analysis for Board approval.
• Produce a six‑month reforecast.
• Monitor restricted funds and update the Fundraising and Client Services teams.

Tax

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of partial exemption rules.
• Review gift aid and GASDS claims to ensure compliance and maximise income.

Payroll

• Ensure compliance with pensions, NMW and tax regulations.
• Oversee P11Ds and payrolling of benefits (where applicable).
• Support and oversee the Finance Administrator with SAGE payroll and keep up to date with relevant tax/employment law changes.
• Review payroll before submission.

Other responsibilities

• Manage high‑level cashflow and work with the Finance Administrator on daily cash monitoring.
• Line-manage the Finance Administrator.
• Support departments with project budgets, cashflows and grant applications.
• Develop and update financial systems and controls as the organisation evolves.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective purchasing (including IT, utilities and contracts).
• Contribute to the wider SMT.
