The Role of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

 are:

• Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
• Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
• Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
• Arrange stock condition surveys.
• Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
• Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.

What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:

· Driving Licence with access to own car

· Previous experience of managing small works contracts

· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution

· Proven awareness of health and safety with regard to building management and works contracts.

· Being responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties whilst remaining within budgetary and time constraints

· Degree Level or relevant experience commensurate to the role

· Evidence for continuing professional development.

· Familiarity using a modern Property Management software package.

This post reports to the Property Manager and is based in the Diocesan Offices in Coventry.

About the role

In 2018 Bridges Outcomes Partnerships co-designed the Single Homelessness Prevention service with Brent Council following the Homelessness Reduction Act (2018). The service provides early intervention to prevent or relieve homelessness for single people who previously would not have received support, aiming to prevent the mental trauma associated with homelessness and stop individuals reaching crisis point.

Our services continue to evolve into models that combine homelessness prevention, refugee support, and family stability interventions to improve life chances for vulnerable people and reduce the long-term impacts of housing instability and child poverty.

The Referral & Assessment Officer is a key role within the London Partnership, it is the first point of contact for people who have experienced trauma or are struggling to find a home.  

As part of the role, you will be responsible for the following activities within this element of the service

· Receiving inbound referrals into the London central point of access, ensuing all data points are completed and case assessed to ensure referral to the right delivery partner/service.   

· Reviewing and processing referrals into the online referral portal, triaging to the most appropriate service for them.

· Ensure that referrals are triaged and allocated to a specialist organisation within the agreed timeframes

· Inputting and processing self-referrals into the SHPS case management system

· Identify, record and refer any immediate safeguarding concerns through the appropriate pathways

· Ensuring the case management system is maintained through timely and accurate record keeping

· Build strong, positive and collaborative relationships with relevant agencies to enable effective referral pathways into specialist services within the partnership and to external services

· Work closely with the Programme Manager to provide details on referral activity and outline any issues or opportunities which might need intervention.

· Ensure the service is accessible to all, recognising peoples’ differences, experiences, communication/language and accessibility needs

· Provide regular reporting to programme lead and commissioners.

 · Have experience of or an understanding of trauma and best practice when working with vulnerable individuals.

· Understanding of how language barriers, digital exclusion, or immigration status can affect access to support.

· The ability to work collaboratively within a team and wider Partnership as well as independently, and can organise workload and prioritise depending on the needs of the service

· Drive to be part of a positive change and have passion for supporting people who have experienced harm caused by domestic abuse

· Desire to support a unique impact-led programme with a passion to make a positive difference to people's lives

· Additional spoken languages, particularly those spoken in Southern Asian communities

· Experience of working with a charity/third sector organisation

Role Outline

The role will work on the Pathfinder project which works across Greater Manchester to prevent young people from becoming homeless. The purpose of this role is to increase access to high-quality private rented sector accommodation in order to improve opportunities for participants to secure suitable and sustainable housing.

You will work across Greater Manchester to build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, improving access to accommodation for frontline delivery teams and the young people they work alongside. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across GMBOP and related programmes, such as Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership (KBOP), to share expertise, learning and best practice, helping to strengthen housing pathways and maximise impact across the wider partnership.

This role plays an important part in ensuring housing pathways are aligned with our strengths-based approach — supporting young people to move into accommodation that reflects their aspirations, promotes independence, and contributes to long-term stability.

What Will You Be Accountable For?

• Increasing the number and diversity of landlords engaged and wanting to work with the project

• Building positive, collaborative relationships with landlords to create seamless housing and support pathways

• Ensuring accommodation secured through the project meets appropriate housing standards

• Working in partnership with delivery teams so housing options reflect participants’ strengths, needs and goals

• Supporting delivery partners to understand private rented sector options available to participants

• Liaising with local authority private sector housing teams to strengthen partnership working

• Acting as a point of contact for staff accessing the GMBOP deposit or guarantor scheme

• Attending landlord networking events to promote the project and explain available incentives

• Maintaining ongoing, constructive communication with landlords during tenancies to support positive outcomes for both landlords and participants

• Contributing to marketing and promotional activity to widen the programme’s reach and impact

The Operational Lead plays a key role in ensuring the programme runs smoothly and delivers high-quality support for participants.

You will work closely with delivery partners to strengthen referral pathways, support effective programme delivery, and ensure learning and insights help the programme continually improve. You will also support the Programme Director in monitoring performance and achieving programme outcomes.

This is a collaborative role that involves building strong partnerships, using data and insight to inform decisions, and ensuring participants’ voices help shape how services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

1. Referral, Engagement & Onboarding

• Oversee referral processes across delivery partners to ensure they are accessible, responsive and effective.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with referring agencies and stakeholders.

• Monitor referral pathways, identify challenges and work with partners to improve engagement and flow.

• Identify opportunities to widen referral routes and strengthen links with community organisations.

2. Operational Management & Service Improvement

• Provide operational guidance and support to delivery partners.

• Identify barriers to delivery and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.

• Support a culture of continuous learning by sharing insights, good practice and emerging opportunities.

• Help embed co-production, ensuring participants’ voices and experiences shape programme design and delivery.

3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, delivery partners and community organisations.

• Represent the programme in external meetings, networks and partnership forums.

• Encourage collaboration across partners and promote shared learning and innovation.

4. Data, Impact Management & Reporting

• Support delivery teams to use case management and data systems effectively.

• Analyse and interpret programme data to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

• Work collaboratively with the programme analyst to develop clear and meaningful reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners and governance groups, helping to identify trends, insights and opportunities that strengthen service delivery and outcomes.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Support quality assurance processes such as case audits, observations and learning reviews.

• Promote high standards of data integrity and ensure data protection requirements are met.

• Work with delivery partners and commissioners to ensure outcomes are accurately recorded and evidenced.

6. External Relations & Community Asset Development

• Support the development of strong local networks and service pathways.

• Identify community assets and resources that can strengthen support for participants.

• Coordinate training, learning opportunities and shared development across delivery partners where needed.

It would be helpful, but not essential, if you also have:

• Experience supporting partnership working across multiple organisations

• Experience using case management or data systems

• Experience of quality assurance, programme performance monitoring, or service improvement

• Coaching, mentoring or facilitation skills

This role serves as a liaison for the BDA’s specialist group, sub-group and branch volunteer communities. Working closely with colleagues across the BDA, the role ensures a high level of support, maintenance and development of the organisation’s member led networks.

The role supports the work of the membership, marketing and communications team to coordinate activity and projects that promote the work of member volunteers and the wider volunteer programme.

In collaboration with the Volunteer Manager, the role supports and coordinates volunteer activity, providing advice, training and guidance to member volunteers as required. It is also responsible for developing, maintaining and managing strong relationships with stakeholders to drive engagement and enhance services for members.

The role acts as essential support to colleagues and works effectively across the MMC team and the wider organisation.

Volunteer support and coordination

• Act as an internal contact for BDA specialist groups, sub-groups and branches, liaising with colleagues across the BDA to ensure the effective delivery of volunteer services.
• Serve as a main point of contact for the BDA’s regional branch network, which provides CPD and networking opportunities for members and other attendees at a local level.
• Provide advice, support and guidance to BDA specialist group and branch volunteers as required.

Communications

About the role:

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, 1 day per week from our London Singer Street office (every Tuesday). The remaining 4 days per week will be home-based, but there will still be the requirement on these days to travel to London courts to deliver pre-trial visits. Therefore, it is essential the travel distance from surrounding counties outside of London is within 30 minutes to London.

As an Independent Witness Advocate you will:

• Lead on providing pre-trial, outreach & post-trial support for witnesses; ensuring their pre and post-trial needs are assessed and a plan for support is put in place so they can attend court to give their best evidence
• Provide advocacy, support in court, and emotional/practical support around their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing
• Liaise with criminal justice partners to ensure witnesses are kept up to date with arrangements for attendance at court and where applicable, ensure special measures have been granted

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology to join our team in Croydon. The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis.

In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. This is a creative, evolving, and impactful role which works closely with our Group Psychological Lead and wider teams to provide support to staff and at times residents to support in providing a streamlined and psychologically informed service.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with supporting our residents to overcome personal challenges and create a supportive environment
• Advise and streamline best practices, and enhance the overall skills and expertise of the team to deliver high quality care and support

• Provide highly specialised psychological assessments for our residents with mental health and complex needs

About You

The role covers both our Step Down provision—designed for individuals discharged from hospital under the Discharge to Assess model—and our service at Mawle Court, which provides temporary accommodation and support for people with complex needs, including those preparing for more independent living or in need of emergency provision. Main Purpose Of The Job:

This role is responsible for delivering a safe and supportive service to all residents living at O’Hanlon House during the night. The post holder needs to work alongside the day and night teams to ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire Policies and Procedures.

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

• Ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

• To be a supportive and effective part of the team working as part of a rota including nights and weekends. Maintain positive relationships with clients, relatives, carers, professionals, commissioners, contractors and the local community.

• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

• To support and encourage clients to care for themselves and develop independent living skills.

• To assess and manage risk for individuals and in the service, making use of emergency services as required.

• Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with the charity’s policies and procedures.

• Comply with the charity’s health and safety standards.

• Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

• Actively ensure security of the building through regular checks and monitoring of CCTV system.

• To carry out designated cleaning and laundry duties (and any other housekeeping tasks).

• To participate in handovers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring that information is properly recorded and passed on where appropriate and relevant and in a timely fashion.

• Ensure that IT systems are updated as required and concise record keeping is completed promptly.

• Ensure clients are aware of and support them to maximise their opportunity to be involved in Client Participation.

• To participate in the induction of and support new team members.

• To undertake any other duties that can be reasonably required to meet the operational needs of Homeless Oxfordshire.

• To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this position.

As our work grows and the craft sector evolves, we’re looking for a Director of Marketing, Communications & Audiences to help shape how we tell the story of craft today.

This role will enable us to connect insight, develop narrative and grow influence — ensuring that what we learn from audiences, makers, members and partners helps shape how craft is represented nationally and internationally.

The Role

The Director of Marketing, Communications & Audiences will lead our marketing, communications and audience development strategy.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can help the organisation interpret insight, articulate a confident narrative and strengthen our public presence.

Working closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team, you will ensure that insight drawn from audiences, makers, members, programmes and partners informs:

· how we position craft nationally and internationally

· how we grow and engage our audiences

· how we strengthen our influence across the cultural and creative sectors

You will lead a small but talented team and work across the organisation to build clarity, confidence and collaboration around our communications and audience strategies.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has significant experience leading marketing, communications or audience strategies

Contract and Hours - Permanent, part time, minimum of 3 days and up to 4 days per week. 0.6 - 0.8 / 21.75 – 29 hours per week (full time 36.25 hours per week). To commence as soon as possible from June 2026 onwards.

A typical working day is 9.15-5.30pm, including a lunch break (unpaid). We support flexible working and part-time arrangements where it is appropriate for the role.

We promote hybrid working with three days per week worked at our office and gallery for full-time staff, and two days per week office and gallery working for part-time staff.

Wednesday is a whole team office and gallery day when staff meetings take place.

Salary - £65,000 to £70,000 gross per annum based on full-time working, equating to:

£39,000 - £42,000 gross per annum based on part-time working 3 days per week,

£52,000- £56,000 gross per annum based on part-time working 4 days per week.

Location - Crafts Council Office and Gallery is based on the Pentonville Road in Islington, London, with some hybrid / home working.
