Programme Manager
We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead an established Inclusive and Nurturing Schools (INS) programme to implement nurturing education across seven boroughs in London, commissioned by the London Violence Reduction Unit.

About the Role
The charity is leading on the Inclusion strand of the programme, delivering training to education professionals in 70 schools across London. The charity is working in partnership with Tender, a charity specialising in the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of healthy relationships between children and young people. Tender is leading on the Healthy Relationships strand of the programme.
In particular, you will be responsible for leading the established (2022) programme to keep children supported, and thriving in school, tackle exclusions, and ensure children and young people have healthy relationship behaviours and attitudes.
The Programme Manager will:
- Lead on programme management (including budget management and reporting)
- Work closely with the programme manager for the healthy relationship strand to ensure high quality and coordinated delivery
- Maintain strong relationships with funders and contract managers
- Coordinate engagement with schools and participating boroughs
- Coordinate a delivery team
- Assess the impact of the INS programme

About the role
You’ll be a key member of the Education team, enabling us to equip health and care professionals across the UK with the knowledge they need to provide excellent care for people with Parkinson’s.
In developing and maintaining engaging, innovative online courses and resources, you’ll work closely with colleagues in the Education team and subject matter experts. You’ll use your specialist learning or instructional design experience to ensure our online education offer is based on sound pedagogical practice and focuses directly on meeting learner need.
What you’ll do
- Apply the tools, principles and practice of learning design to plan, develop and maintain engaging online courses and resources about Parkinson’s and Parkinsonism for professional audiences
- Work closely with the Education Lead to ensure our education offer is sector-leading, sustainable and aligned to the Charity’s strategic priorities
- Plan, manage and deliver to schedule high-quality online courses and resources, from agreeing learning outcomes to go-live
- In production and maintenance work, collaborate with colleagues including subject matter experts (such as clinicians in the Parkinson’s Excellence Network), technical specialists and other internal colleagues
- Support the development of an effective marketing strategy for the Learning Hub, working closely with Professional Engagement, Marketing and Media team colleagues

WHO WE ARE
We are a leading mental health charity on a mission to support Londoners with mental health challenges find and remain in good employment as part of their mental health recovery journey. THE OPPORTUNITY
We are now inviting suitable candidates to apply for the role of Service Lead. This position will manage a team of around 20 Employment Advisors (EAs) and Senior Employment Advisors (SEAs). The role will be guided and supported by a Head of Services, as well as Twining’s established and experienced Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

THE ROLE – SERVICE LEAD
You will be responsible for the ongoing day to day leadership and management of the Employment Advisors (EAs) and Senior Employment Advisors (SEAs) in Talking Therapies service across Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow.
You will liaise with managers, clinicians and GPs across the NHS primary care pathways to ensure that services are coordinated and pathways into, and out of, the service are managed effectively and efficiently.
You will ensure the service operates in line with national guidance related to Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies and gives consideration to wider disability employment and retention support models, whilst striving to achieve and maintain national best practice in this field.
You will ensure the team develops in a manner that facilitates clients being referred to the service quickly, so they do not remain unsupported whilst on sick leave, and then support them to return to work swiftly (where appropriate), or to follow the destination that is best suited to their circumstances, enabling individuals to achieve positive service experience outcomes.
You will work in partnership with key stakeholders and contract managers.
This role will require someone experienced in leading the delivery of a mental health support programme, whilst managing and meeting commissioner performance expectations.
SERVICE LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. To develop and manage the Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies Service, providing high quality, timely assessment and support interventions, including signposting for specialist external advice such as ACAS, welfare benefits advice, union or specialist employment law advice.
2. To have specialist knowledge and understanding of employment support and retention to be able to promote an early intervention model, which predominately focusing on supporting people into their preferred job choice, supporting them to remain in work, or enabling them to gain early access to advice and support to reduce the risk of not starting or losing their employment.
3. To manage the performance activity, data quality and service delivery of the team and ensure they provide an integrated and effective service.
4. To ensure the staff have an understanding of the process and philosophy of the positive benefits that work can have on an individual’s health, as well as understanding the benefit of early intervention and support for those at risk of losing their employment due to poor mental health, disabilities, health conditions or issues at work.
5. To oversee the development of new initiatives within the Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies Service in line with national best practice and planning capacity for the team to meet the anticipated increases in demand for the service as a result of changes in the economy or incidence of poor mental health.
6. Ensure the service works within national and locally agreed frameworks and develop key performance indicators if none exist.
7. To ensure that the team has appropriate arrangements in place to guarantee that efficient, effective, equitable and economical services are provided to all clients.
8. To respond to complaints and suggestions from clients and carers in accordance with policies and procedures, and to participate as appropriate in the investigation of complaints, grievances, significant events and disciplinary manners in accordance with polices and present the outcome of the investigations to the relevant personnel.
9. To lead the team in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.
10. To monitor the workload and performance of team members using electronic systems to monitor performance.
11. Provide reports to senior managers and stakeholders regarding activity and exception reports for information.
12. To provide regular line management supervision to members of the team.
13. Ensure all team staff receive annual Appraisals and have personal development plans in place.
14. To participate in own Appraisal to ensure development and planning.
15. To agree and monitor explicit performance targets with staff relevant to service delivery.
16. To monitor staff sickness and absence and offer appropriate counselling or appropriate actions.
17. To recruit new staff to vacancies that may arise within the service.
18. To promote and foster good relations with other teams and agencies and stakeholders, ensuring that any issues are addressed at the earliest stage.
19. To ensure that full and appropriate use is made of information systems and that all relevant activity and intervention is recorded appropriately to enable access to information regarding individual clients and also aggregated data.
20. To attend regular management and planning meetings, workshops and conferences relating to health issues and employment, as appropriate.
21. To remain well informed about the national agenda for Employment and Retention, health and social care, and the economic picture.
22. To keep abreast with current best practice in the field and continue to foster a network of specialist support for those who are employed but need support.
23. To make presentations, where appropriate, to staff, clinical colleagues or management groups regarding current national or local issues.
24. To implement and support any performance management systems agreed by senior managers. To regularly monitor and audit systems and records to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
25. To take note of and, where appropriate, act upon any external audits or reviews that are of relevance to the team.
26. To take responsibility for the efficient use of resources within the team.
27. Provide the team with specialist advice for more complex cases as required.
28. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post and as required by your manager.
The role holder must also:
1. Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an Enhanced level.
2. Possess excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as experience updating and maintaining databases.
3. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service performance requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.
4. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.
5. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

The Head of Advocacy and Policy will be responsible for developing an excellent Advice Service and Retention Team to support and advise students effectively to enable excellent student experience and satisfaction.
This role will lead on the development of effective insights, representation and support initiatives/campaigns for students, across our three campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.

This role sits within the wider Membership Services department, together with other key areas consisting of; Activities, Sport, Academic Communities, Representation and Democracy, we provide a high-quality service for students, that they can shape, steer and be at the heart of.
This postholder will be part of the GSU Senior Leadership Team and will be expected to contribute to department and organisation wide strategic development.
The post holder will:
- Have expert knowledge in areas of in relation to Advice and Retention and policies and legislation relating to such activity
- Support and develop strong student-led communities and campaigns in areas of: Advice, wellbeing and retention so that members can thrive
- Provide line management support to staff so that the team have up to date, specialist advice skills, knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures that may affect the work of the Advice service and oversee engagement across Greenwich’s 3 campuses
- Undertake casework and provide expert advice for the team on all aspects of Advice

Strategic Development
- Contribute to the strategic objectives of GSU, with a particular focus on advice, support and wellbeing in relation to the student experience
- Develop and oversee a new and innovative approach to proactive health and wellbeing campaigns that empower students to look after themselves and each other, as well as seeking support
- Lead on Access and Participation Plan Engagement, acting as the key contact on this area with the University.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant senior UoG staff and departments including Student Academic Services, Faculties and our partners at Kent Unio
- Develop and oversee the Advice service to support advocacy initiatives at multiple levels within the University, ensuring both students and University stakeholders view GSU as a credible and reliable source of information on the needs of students.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and oversee a structured approach to gathering, analysing and reporting on data relating to engagement of students with our services and to student views on key issues relating to retention and success
- Develop and oversee processes of collecting quantitative and qualitative data from casework to analyse trends and inform feedback for the SU and university
- Ensure evaluation mechanism are embedded in the teams working practises and that findings are shared and used to implement learnings with the goal of improving services
- Support Officers by preparing information, statistics and trends about key services to be shared within the University committee cycle
- Be responsible for the implementation of service standards for the Advocacy and Policy Team and to monitor and report on adherence to these standards
- Prepare materials to apply for any relevant quality mark accreditations for the service.
Budget and Financial Management
- Manage a budget relating to Advocacy and Policy including any restricted funds.
- Be responsible for the teams resources, ensuring these are effectively allocated, managed and controlled
- Review and establish processes, systems, polices and where appropriate standard procedures to maximise efficiency ensure deadlines are met and a positive return on investment
- Review and provide narrative for scrutiny at monthly management meetings with the Finance Team
Stakeholder management
- Collaborate with GSU colleagues, particularly the Student Voice and Engagement Teams to ensure we have a consistent approach to how we work with and support students
- Work with students through our representative structures and forums to ensure we shape services students want and need, taking into consideration the varying campus priorities
- Maintain strong relationships with key university staff to develop, deliver and evaluate collaborative projects and interventions supporting advice and retention
- Attend meetings relating to Advocacy and Policy as well as associated areas at both GSU, the University and externally, included, but not limited to regional networks

Location: Christopher’s, Guildford and Community based
Job purpose
The post holder will be responsible for providing holistic care and support to children and young people (CYP) who have life-limiting conditions and their families as a key member of the community team. This care is provided in the family’s own home, in the community, and support into the hospices and acute settings.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for families following acceptance to the service and the nurse is responsible for undertaking a holistic assessment of the child and family’s needs. The post holder will provide high quality palliative care to CYPs under the care of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, using their skills and expertise in a diverse range of situations, autonomously and as a member of the community team. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, be a sound educator, and work proficiently.
They will work closely with the SSCH in house team, family support team and symptom management services to ensure a seamless and comprehensive service to CYP and their families.
SSCH care is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of planned and emergency care, including on calls overnight and weekends in addition to contracted hours.
Key tasks and Responsibilities
• Providing professional clinical leadership in the provision of palliative care across care settings for CYP under the care of SSCH.
• To work in partnership with the SSCH care teams and wider MDT, demonstrating excellent communication skills to ensure high quality seamless care.
• To ensure that holistic care is family centred, research based, and meets with all statutory requirements and adheres to clinical governance initiatives and best practice.
• Provide support to CYPs and their families where required through community visits to hospital, home or hospice alongside relevant external professionals from statutory services.
• Maintain an awareness of the multi-cultural nature of the SSCH catchment area, adapting care culturally as required.
• To ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with SSCH policies, guidelines and standards.
• To act in accordance with the SSCH and statutory Safeguarding Children Policy and Procedure.
Clinical
• To be actively involved with the on-going development of the SSCH care service, in particular the community team, contributing to development through research, audit and quality improvement.
• Provide clinical support and continuity of care to CYPs with palliative needs.
• Work alongside specialist symptom management teams to assess symptoms and provide clinical feedback to form part of decision making under the lead of the specialist services.
• Ability to follow an agreed symptom management plan and liaise with teams to offer high level care in the home as needed.
• Working in partnership with all members of the MDT, encouraging and promoting effective team working from all disciplines within SSCH.
• Attend professional meetings as a representative for SSCH and provide proactive input to ensure high level care for CYPs and families.
• Coordinating transition to adult services when appropriate in conjunction with the transition coordinator.
• Ensure written communication and correspondence is used to communicate with external professionals and services.
• Form part of the community on call service in conjunction with statutory services to endeavour to offer a responsive 24/7 service in end of life care.
Quality / Audit / Research
• Enhancing the interface between the community team and user involvement into the development of the service.
• To share professional expertise with Care Team colleagues, providing support and training where appropriate.
• To work to the SSCH medicine policy and adhere to the NMC guidelines at all times when giving medication.
• Participating in audits with the clinical governance facilitator to maintain and improve clinical care.
• In collaboration with the team, producing and reviewing operational policies and procedures specific to the team.
• Attending the Morbidity and Mortality meeting and having a proactive input.
• To take responsibility for your own lone worker safety, support the team and comply with SSCH policy/practices.
• To adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
• Supporting research activity through service user recruitment and data collection as required.
Leadership
• Attending appropriate clinical meetings.
• Reporting all incidents and accidents in accordance with local policy.
• Taking prompt and appropriate action if a complaint is received in accordance with SSCH policy.
• Communicating with the MDT, providing case presentation for a unified approach to care for CYP and their family.
• To take a lead on a specific role within the team, for example – transition or medicines management.
• Actively participate in team away days to support with development of the community team.
Education
• To be responsible for your own on-going education and professional development, to facilitate lifelong learning which complies with the professional educational requirements of your training.
• To take responsibility to undertake all required elements of annual mandatory training i.e. Fire Safety, Safeguarding Children, Infection Control, CPR, Moving and Handling.
• To recognise the importance of personal and team support and participate in the informal and formal support opportunities available.
• To act as a mentor to student nurses and new staff and participate in the education and development of colleagues. Sharing professional expertise, providing support and training where appropriate.
• To participate with in-service training programmes both as a recipient and facilitator.

• To participate in the appraisal and personal development mechanisms available.
• Ensure that SSCH policies are complied with and that policy documents are read.
• Report any equipment issues to the community nurse team lead and ensure that SSCH equipment is well looked after.

• To ensure clinical notes are up to date to ensure colleagues are able to access the most current clinical information.
• Meet the requirements of revalidation and ensure continued registration with the NMC.

1. Background
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) promotes evidence-informed equitable, inclusive and sustainable development. We support the generation and effective use of high-quality evidence to inform decision-making and improve the lives of people living in poverty in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs). We provide guidance and support to produce impact evaluations and associated formative evaluations; systematic reviews and syntheses, evidence gap maps and support for using that evidence in decision-making and capacity development. Our work encompasses a wide range of topics, sectors and themes, including but not limited to health, nutrition, education, agriculture, governance, microfinance, climate change, humanitarian interventions, and social protection. 3ie is registered as a non-governmental organization in the United States. The Contracts and Compliance Officer will support 3ie’s efforts in contract, compliance, safeguarding and risk management guidance and oversight with an emphasis on providing direct billable compliance support to the FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (RCC). The Officer will work closely with various teams across the organization including project, business development, finance, and senior management teams to develop and implement compliance processes, tools, resources, and best practices, provide quality control, and build staff capacity in compliance and risk management. The Contracts and Compliance Officer will report directly to the Cost and Pricing Controller with informal reporting to the RCC Sr. Programme Manager.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 FCDO RCC Contracting, Compliance and Risk Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and grants for sub awardees delivering work under the RCC.
- Support strategies and systems to respond to FCDO and/or RCC project team requests for new research commissions, project related questions, and general advisory services providing information and interpretation on a broad range of topics including contract and subcontracting regulations, compliance procedures, management, and risk mitigation.
- Provide safeguarding leadership, including implementation of best practices for the RCC, review of downstream partner policies and practices, audit of safeguarding procedures, etc.
- Identify and propose mitigation strategies for RCC operational, financial, and other compliance gaps that pose risk to the project and/or 3ie.
- Review and provide guidance on proposed amendments to the RCC accountable grant agreement and daft RCC related subcontracts, sub-grants, amendments, services agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
- Draft and/or support development of approval requests and other donor correspondence related to procurement, grant, consultant, or other contractual actions.
2.2 Organizational Compliance and Risk Management
- Serve as the primary resource and subject matter expert on FCDO contracts, risk, and compliance to ensure quality control and guidance in order to maintain consistent approaches and implement best practices across 3ie’s FCDO portfolio.
- Stay updated on changes in FCDO and other donor rules, regulations, and industry wide compliance best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of 3ie internal policies and procedures to enhance contract and grant compliance. This includes but is not limited to reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations to current policies, processes, and internal controls to ensure effective and efficient identification and mitigation of noncompliance and risks.
- Recommend improvements to the corporate authorities structure, file/recordkeeping processes, as well as support senior management in organizational risk management.
- Support the development and maintenance of a repository of contract and grant compliance best practices, innovative approaches, guidance documents, and tools.
- Contribute to increasing staff awareness and capacity of donor regulations, 3ie policies, tools, templates, and procedures through formal and ad hoc trainings and development of guidance materials
- Conduct internal compliance audits.
- Assist with ad hoc compliance related tasks as required.
2.3 Business Development
- Review tenders, assist with development of questions and/or responses to tends, and provide ad hoc proposal development needs ensuring consistency with corporate policies and strategies, relevant regulations, and FCDO requirements.
- Support review and negotiation process for new FCDO awards.
3. Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years (Officer) or 5+ years (Sr. Officer) of experience in direct contract administration or compliance, preferably with FCDO and/or a mix of bilateral (USAID, GIZ, NORAD), multilateral (UN, World Bank), and foundations (BMGF, GAVI) in the international development context
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FCDO and/or other bilateral and multilateral rules, regulations, and policies required
- Experience with a wide variety of grants, contracts, and subcontract types and methodologies (commercial contracts, accountable grants, framework agreements, hybrid agreements/contracts)
- Experience managing payment by results or performance-based contracts.
- Experience developing and delivering participatory trainings on compliance, regulations, and policies
- Demonstrated experience in conducting internal compliance audits preferred
- Experience with various business development processes including cost and pricing, recruitment, contract negotiations, and/or writing preferred
