We are currently looking for a highly motivated and committed Waking Night Concierge to join the team in East London to support clients medium to high support needs in a supported accommodation setting. 

The hostel offers a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and works closely with an adjacent health and advice centre operated by partner agencies. Operationally, the service focuses on promoting recovery, providing assessment, support and resettlement services within a framework of active engagement and person-centred planning. The project is committed to supporting continued client participation in all aspects of its work. 

In this role you will provide overnight waking cover for the service. You will be responsible for providing first contact and safeguarding our clients at night including dealing with emergencies. Other duties include carrying out regular health and safety checks, monitoring the CCTV system and various administration tasks. There is also an element of the role which will be ensuring the environment is kept to a high standard. 

The rota for this role is 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 10.30pm to 8.30am each night of working. 

About you 

To succeed, you will have an understanding of the needs and support requirements of people with complex needs. You’ll also have the ability to establish an effective working relationship with these clients, be client centred and possess an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients. A good level of numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your own initiative are also required. ​

In this this vital role you will be providing receptionist duties to the service and the team, being the first point of contact for residents and others. Your duties will include:

• Managing the team inbox, keeping information systems up to date and ensuring smooth handovers to other team members.

• Log and follow up on building and maintenance repairs.

• Responding to queries from residents or agencies, following up to ensure outcomes.

• Working on a weekly rota and carrying out regular shifts (early’s, mid’s and late’s) including some weekends.

About you 

We are looking for proactive, flexible and empathetic people with good time-management and communication skills. You will also have the working ability to use different IT packages and systems. You may have personal experience of homelessness, and may have accessed recovery services yourself; or you will have a sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless people.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term role of Adult and Family Learning Manager, working across our centres in Govan and Maryhill (Glasgow) and Craigmillar (Edinburgh).

This is a new and exciting role at the charity, focussing on how we can offer additional impactful support in the local 
communities in which our Scotland centres are based. The post holder will work in close collaboration with colleagues at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. 

The pilot will focus on supporting the parents, carers and families of young people accessing the centres, with the potential for this to extend to wider adults in the community. You will lead the pilot project, developing a programme tailored according to and with an understanding of the different communities in which it will be offered. The Family and Youth Engagement Worker is a new role within our organisation, which will provide additional support to an existing team working in London providing comprehensive support to young people and families living with HIV.

The role encompasses family-based support, organising and facilitating group meet-up events, offering guidance and support around engaging with services, and providing mentoring and coaching support to individual young people.

At FearFree we are proud to deliver services across the Southwest, and we're excited to be expanding our offer, with the introduction of a new Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Service.  We have a full time vacancy (37 hours per week) and a part time vacancy (22.5 hours per week).

As a Support Advisor you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the ETE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.

You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Devon. The project aims to:

• Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
• Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
• Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
• Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
• Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.

The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable people and an understanding / experience of the ETE sector. They will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and ideally have experience implementing this within group and 1-1 settings. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Employability skills and will demonstrate the ability to proactively engage with both local employers and local support networks/organisations to promote the skills of the individuals they are supporting.

• Work closely with the service manager to set up and develop the service, supporting its ongoing growth and expansion.

• Play an active role in the recruitment process of volunteers in addition to management of volunteers ensuring they are kept up to date and involved in the organisation, alongside able to support our service users.
• Ensure risk assessments are completed where required and safety plans are completed on time and regularly.
• Work closely with the services across FearFree, developing close working relationships and supporting clients who may be accessing support from our other services.
• Record all contact with service users and abide by confidentiality requirements.
• Record and monitor data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.

In partnership with HMP Liverpool and Liverpool City Council we run CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) a programme which offers a supportive, caring and stimulating environment for older people in prison. As Assistant Manager you will assist in setting up an innovative and engaging day centre which will provide meaningful activity and positive relationships, improves wellbeing, reduces social isolation and offers opportunities for rehabilitative interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships with service users and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies in order to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to meet the needs of the prisoner cohort
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all relevant administration, data collection and analysis is collated and reported on, including monthly and annual reports to line management
• Be an active part of the wider CAMEO team, bringing meaningful contributions to team meetings, departmental strategy and development of the wider CAMEO programme
• Contribute to any security checks, planning and risk assessments as needed
• Undergo training in safeguarding, security awareness, conditioning and manipulation awareness, and other HMPPS/TSA training deemed necessary by line management

We are seeking an Advanced Recovery Practitioner to support in the Women and Families team, within Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working in partnership with Turning Point and Antidote.  The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in working within a substance misuse treatment and recovery setting, must have specialist training and supervision in one or more complexities alongside substance misuse. This may be mental health, long term conditions, criminal justice, offending behaviour, homelessness, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, family work.  Have an understanding of risk and risk management, as it applies to substance misuse and complexity.  Have a working knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults framework, the ability to follow procedure and development of a culture of safe practice.  Ability to work under pressure and have significant experience of working in health and social care.

For Age UK Westminster, the Befriending Service is one of its most important services tackling loneliness and isolation for older people in our community. This role would suit anyone who would like to play a key part in further developing a well-established service that makes a real difference to its community.

Excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications are required for this role, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
