2. Negotiate with third parties in writing and on the telephone
3. Act for clients where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning
4. Be numerate and able to analyse data and draw conclusions
5. Have good communication and IT skills

About the role

Mid Kent Mind runs a wide range of services, including but not limited to, mental health training, wellbeing courses, one-to-one sessions, and social groups. · You will action safeguarding needs of service users, following MKM’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

The Service:

The service facilitates peer support and delivery of monthly workshops and drop- ins. The service will provide first-class, person-centred information, advice and guidance to people with learning disabilities through both one-to-one and group support.

The Role:

You will provide relevant and accurate information, support, guidance and signposting including both one-to-one and group support for people with complex issues. Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. You will act in a key working capacity where necessary, ensuring services are joined up and holistic, provide advocacy and attend case management meetings as required.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.

Working within the children and families team, you will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children.

This exciting new post will predominantly be working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents/carers who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children where appropriate and their families, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.

· Enabling the children and their families to access statutory and other services where appropriate.

· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support children, young people and their families.

· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children where appropriate and to their parents on the impact of DA on their children

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Mental Health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
 
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

Vibrance has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team in Newham and Beckton. You will join us on a full-time basis working 37 hours a week, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 to per annum, plus benefits.

Your rota will be split between supporting our clients at across several 24hr care projects and homes.

As such you will be expected to work a mix of shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.

You will maintain high standards of service, design personalised support plans, provide emotional support and help residents to live a full, active life both at home and in the community. This will include going out for activities such as music concerts, days by the sea, fun fairs, meals out and holidays etc.

Because of our specific service user needs you must be able to push a wheelchair and use a variety of hoists.

Skills and experience of our ideal Deputy Manager:

• A commitment to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and/or Autism
• Experience of supporting people to meet their goals
• Experience of meeting goals within a timescale
• Strong administrative skills including knowledge and practice of using Microsoft office. You will be expected to use multiple digital platforms
• Experience of using a variety of communication skills to get outcomes
• The ability to motivate and support a diverse staff team

Your mission: to support and empower young people to develop the lifelong tools they need to lead fulfilling lives outside the confines of traditional services. • Your approach is creative, analytical, trauma-informed and rooted in a strengths and recovery model.

• A non-judgmental approach to working with complex needs young people and to promote a strengths-based approach and an understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

We are pleased to be able to offer an experienced autism professional the opportunity to join our Autism Accreditation team as an Accreditation consultant.  We require a person with experience working in the field of autism.  The applicant will need to be located within the Yorkshire or North East of England due to the nature of the work the caseload they will be managing and the travel required throughout this region.

This role offers a wide and varied work load supporting across social care, education, criminal justice and health sectors amongst many more.  Developing best autism practice and celebrating through the accreditation programme the outcomes achieved by provisions.

Start date for this role will be on the 26th August 2024.
