Your role:

This a front-line role, delivering a family support service in person in Lambeth. The successful candidate will be based  in our offices in Lambeth.  Much of the work will involve outreach and delivery in Early Years settings, child development centres and nurseries throughout Lambeth. The role will involve working closely with the Lambeth Early Years Specialists Health Visitors and Paediatricians.  The role will involve planning and organising workshops and information sessions, drop-in sessions and ongoing family case work.  

You will provide an advice, information and guidance service to parents of very young children aged 0-2years,

You will assess families' needs and plan actions with parents' participation as per their needs. You will encourage parent carers' empowerment and involvement.

 What we are looking for:

• Experience of working with and supporting families who have disabled children, and in particular, working with families who have disabled children aged 0-2 years
• Good communication responsive to the needs of families of very young children who may be facing uncertainty and challenges at the beginning of understanding their child’s additional needs
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Knowledge and experience of the issues and concerns that affect families who have disabled children e.g. leisure provision, education, respite care.
• Knowledge of issues relating to maximising income, tackling debt and budgeting, accessing financial support, tax credits and other financial issues.
• Good communication, time management and networking skills.

Summary of role: Our Green Doctors deliver home visits and telephone consultations across Slough, Maidenhead & Windsor & the surrounding areas.  Consultations are a mix of advice, installation of small practical energy-saving measures such as low energy light bulbs and draft proofing and referring on to other health and wellbeing services. We aim to reduce our client’s energy bills and save them money in a variety of ways including providing a bill switching service.

You will be a practical, people-person with a passion for helping vulnerable people. You must have either knowledge or experience in energy efficiency to provide tailored energy saving advice, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit our client’s varying needs.

You must be comfortable with lone working and in managing your own workload. 

A qualification as Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), NVQ Level 3 (6049-03) Provide Energy Efficiency Services, or City and Guilds Energy Awareness (6281-01) is desirable, but relevant experience within the field or a willingness to take the qualification will be considered. (20 paid study hours).

A full clean driving license is required.

Lancashire Mind’s Tenancy Management Service works in partnership with several registered housing partners across Lancashire to manage a portfolio of properties on their behalf and provide tenancy support to people living with moderate mental health conditions.

Your new role

We are looking for a new Tenancy Management Worker to join our small and friendly team to manage a caseload of customers who have complex needs including mental health conditions, substance misuse, homelessness, and a possible history of offending.

Your job will be to work closely with these individuals to promote independent living and help them to achieve and sustain their tenancies. This is a challenging and varied job which is often rewarding, particularly when the people we have supported achieve their own goals and move on to build better lives.

What you will need to succeed

You will need experience of working with people with complex needs ideally in a supported or social housing setting and have the resilience to support people with a diverse range of mental health conditions to overcome barriers to independent living.

It is important that the right candidate is an excellent communicator, able to listen and understand people’s needs but also confident communicating and liaising with other local services and partner agencies to ensure each person has the right support in place.

An excellent working knowledge of safeguarding practices for protecting vulnerable people is also key to this role and the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate proven experience of this.

Ideally, an understanding of the issues which arise within the social housing sector or experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.

You will need to be a good team player, with the ability to work well with others and be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision.

This is an essential car user role as it requires extensive travel to and from tenants’ properties in Lancashire.

You will support victims of domestic abuse within the Stockport Borough offering a person centred and trauma informed package of support and advocacy. 

The role 

In this role you will complete risk and needs assessments with victims of domestic abuse who live in the borough of Stockport. You will liaise with referring agencies, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. You will carry out a large and varied range of practical support which may include safety planning, advocacy, risk assessment and risk management. We also offer emotional support to those people we work with, encouraging and supporting them to rebuild lost confidence and self-esteem. We are seeking a highly organised Children and Young Person’s Specialist Exploitation Caseworker to work alongside Somerset Council’s Exploitation Service.

They will combine their lived experience of overcoming similar barriers to the client group and their professional experience to provide crucial guidance, support, and mentorship to children and young people who are being, or at high risk of being exploited.

Through 1:1 mentoring, you will ensure children and young people are equipped to think critically, assess risk, and make better life choices. We are seeking a Suicide Bereavement Liaison - Children, Young Persons (CYP) and Families to join our Grief in Pieces: Support for Suicide Loss team. Grief in Pieces is part of the Safe Connections partnership and is a dedicated support service for anyone in North East London who has been impacted by suicide loss.

We are a multi-disciplinary provider of specialist mental health services and a part of the Mind Federation.

We promote both recovery from ill health for people with recurrent and enduring mental health difficulties and early intervention for those at risk of developing mental health issues, or who struggle with common mental health conditions.

London office at 7-14 Great Dover St, London, SE1 4YR and Bristol office at Whitefriars, Lewins Mead, Bristol BS1 2NT, with occasional travel around the UK

The Role

In this key role, the Project Manager will work with the Senior Project Manager to embed the use of good project management principles across all aspects of our work at SafeLives. The Project Manager will also use excellent project management to facilitate the effective delivery of SafeLives’ projects.
