We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join an exciting partnership project in Stockport.
You will support victims of domestic abuse within the Stockport Borough offering a person centred and trauma informed package of support and advocacy.
The role
In this role you will complete risk and needs assessments with victims of domestic abuse who live in the borough of Stockport. You will liaise with referring agencies, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. You will carry out a large and varied range of practical support which may include safety planning, advocacy, risk assessment and risk management. We also offer emotional support to those people we work with, encouraging and supporting them to rebuild lost confidence and self-esteem. We are a consent driven service and therefore the needs of the person we are supporting is at the core of all the work that you will do.
As part of the Stockport Domestic Abuse Support team, you will also be supporting the partners of those who are undertaking behaviour change work on the Striving to Change Programme.
You will attend regular risk management meetings to ensure that both parties are fully supported and that the risk is appropriately managed.

You will understand the impact that domestic abuse has on individuals, families, and wider society. You will be motivated to support people who have been impacted by domestic abuse and using person centred and trauma informed practice you will work to improve the experiences of all those impacted by domestic abuse.

We are seeking a highly organised Children and Young Person’s Specialist Exploitation Caseworker to work alongside Somerset Council’s Exploitation Service.
They will combine their lived experience of overcoming similar barriers to the client group and their professional experience to provide crucial guidance, support, and mentorship to children and young people who are being, or at high risk of being exploited.
Through 1:1 mentoring, you will ensure children and young people are equipped to think critically, assess risk, and make better life choices. You will also support them to overcome personal challenges and achieve personal goals. The Welfare Scheme Assessor will be a part of a small, but committed team with big ambitions that works cohesively and effectively together to get things done.
You’ll be an important and valued member of the team and, with the support of North Lincolnshire Citizens Advice, will be responsible for ensuring client focused outcomes are met in a pressurised environment.
You’ll be the first point of contact for residents applying for support from the welfare assistance scheme. You’ll offer applicants a holistic assessment designed to maximise household income, reduce expenditure and build greater financial wellbeing.
You’ll enable people to move as quickly as possible to problem resolution and to manage their essential needs so they are less likely to fall into debt and manage cost of living increases.
You’ll be responsible for making decisions on applications for financially based welfare support and will administer funds to households who would otherwise struggle to buy food or pay essential utility bills or meet other essential living costs.
You’ll enable people to take control of their financial wellbeing and signpost them to local statutory services and community groups that provide practical, social and emotional support.

Caseworker
Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.
This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.

Role Overview:
For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.
The successful applicant will be providing activities and support to clients within a formal contractual framework working to challenging targets.The role holder will need a strong beneficiary focus and the ability to rapidly form relationships with partners and local agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with partners to identify and engage veterans with the CFO Programme.
- Undertake needs assessments with each veteran and jointly develop their support plan.
- Work as part of a team, together with Probation Service Staff and Lead Provider staff, was well as partner organisations providing specialist support.
- Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for each individual as required.
- Work with the veteran to secure employment.
- Optimise the delivery of activities which are separately billed as part of CFO Programme.
- Ensure that all activity is recorded on the MOJ CATs system, or other system as required by the contract.
- Deliver any further activities reasonably required by the Op Nova National Manager or CFO Contract Manager, the Nova National Manager and the Forces Employment Charity.
Essential Competencies:
- Understanding, empathy and knowledge of ex-forces personnel and the challenges they may face.
- Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely from their line manager.
- Resilient and able to work with individuals with complex needs and cope with the rigors that arise from working with veterans in the criminal justice system.
- Commitment to working with each veteran without prejudice and in an equitable manner, including those who are arrested for violent or sexual offences.
- Experience of working with people using a mentoring or coaching approach to engage and support the individuals we work with change their lives.

You’ll have overall responsibility for the Carer’s hub, where carers can drop in for advice and support, manage a small caseload, and support the delivery of the service’s range of activities as required, including respite activities, online groups, face-to-face sessions.
We are looking for a great motivator with excellent communication and organisational skills. For Age UK Westminster, the Befriending Service is one of its most important services tackling loneliness and isolation for older people in our community. This role would suit anyone who would like to play a key part in further developing a well-established service that makes a real difference to its community.
Excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications are required for this role, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the children and young people’s team for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to be part of shaping and delivering a new early support youth hub pilot within Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley. The hub will support people aged 13+ and those who feel they still require a young people’s approach up to 25. It brings together the specialisms of Cranstoun, complimented by wider partnership delivery and lead areas of responsibility.
We have three positions, each to have a lead theme area, including relationships, youth engagement and emotional health and wellbeing. As this is a pilot, these lead themes may change and develop depending upon the needs of young people and the service. (Please state your preference during your application).
You will be the first point of contact within the youth hub, providing initial information, advice and guidance and facilitating connections to other support or specialist services. You will be expected to provide a range of planned engagement activities/clubs and undertake wellbeing coaching for those who need help. There will be an element of promotion and outreach within local schools and colleges to encourage young people to attend.
This early support youth hub will play a crucial role in providing: -
· Accessible open access information, advice and guidance.
· Tailored emotional and practical support that is trauma informed.
· Timetable of access for partner agencies including sexual health, substance use, mental health.
· Promoting positive well-being through themed events and clubs.
· Preventing escalation including wellbeing coaching to those who access the hub that may need short term goals focused support.
It will serve as an easy to access, youth friendly space, which will allow young people to get help at the earliest opportunity.

Within the role of a Service Manager, you will shape, develop and lead the team to provide an early support youth hub, supporting young people aged 13 – 25yrs. Your role will include working with your team to achieve performance related targets across the outcome’s framework, achieving standards/kitemarks, managing the partnerships, especially with regards to data and information sharing for those using the hub, audits, HR related matters, H&S, budgets, and supporting ongoing funding applications.
