JOB PURPOSE

To improve the provision of consistent high-quality debt advice, enhancing the experience of clients, by working collaboratively with delivery suppliers, to support them in implementing improvement activities, and in assessing and monitoring the quality of debt advice.

To support the implementation and ongoing facilitation of project quality assurance and improvement processes, working collaboratively with the EMMA management team to inform and support contract compliance and performance management activities.

To identify good practice and share learning with delivery suppliers, and across roles within MaPS and across all funded services to support improvement and development of advice services.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver individual strategic projects/business plan objectives for the team

Work with debt advice providers on an individual basis to improve the provision of consistent and high-quality debt advice, by supporting suppliers to implement improvement activities, and to assess and monitor the performance of their advisers and debt advice service overall to ensure that the quality of debt advice is improved where required, maintained and provided in accordance with regulation, project requirements, best practice, and agreed standards.  This includes:

• Working in collaboration with suppliers to make tailored recommendations and providing feedback to improve the quality of debt advice and client experience in a delivery supplier as appropriate, and identify good practice, where applicable

• Measuring and analysing information gathered against risk ratings, quality frameworks and standards and liaising with delivery suppliers to agree improvement action plans using the results of assessments and analysis

• Liaising with delivery suppliers about the practical arrangements required to carry out the monitoring of their work and improvement plans and ensure understanding of the service improvement process

• Supporting, where appropriate, the implementation of any follow on/corrective action following the assessment and /or support visits/file reviews.

Support participants internal and external quality assurance, quality related grant requirements and quality improvement schemes by:

• Ensuring delivery partners and advisers understand the objectives of the service and quality requirements.

• Facilitating the smooth application of the quality improvement process as required by LCALC and/ or the funder including writing guidance documents, regular liaison with the delivery suppliers and answering ad hoc queries.

Project compliance and quality requirements are achieved by:

• Ensuring delivery suppliers have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements through communications and active involvement in the delivery of EMMA events related to quality improvement.

• Providing support and advice to delivery suppliers and other internal colleagues on the quality requirements and service delivery standards.

• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately.

• Providing support with delivery and quality compliance and performance management activities, including active involvement in performance enhancement plans as appropriate.

• Contributing to the design of monitoring and reporting processes.

• Respond to requests from delivery suppliers for support with quality matters and proactively encourage delivery suppliers to engage with quality improvement activities.

• Ensure that work undertaken reflects and supports equality and diversity.

Support the implementation of best practice systems and processes

Implement best practice systems and processes to ensure the development and improvement of delivery and advice services, including:

• Providing reports and/or data on trends, compliance, and quality.

• Liaising with colleagues to identify key learning points and delivery issues, to inform the development of EMMA.

• Identifying training and development needs within delivery suppliers, and work with colleagues and MaPS to improve the quality of advice services.

• Facilitate the sharing of learning and good practice identified through quality assurance and service improvement across EMMA delivery partners.

• Support delivery partners to maintain systems and processes for service delivery, management and improvement to ensure effective and consistent delivery of the quality of debt advice work.

• Support the development and/or updating of content for information systems.

Maintain expertise and insight

• Manage your own day to day activities to deliver tasks on time and to the required standard while gaining experience of the work of the Quality Team and maintaining expertise in debt advice.

• Be proactive in identifying external and internal contacts to inform activity to improve service delivery.

About the role

This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse or presenting with symptoms of neurodiversity and will be returning to the community. The Neurodiversity Lead will focus support on women with a neurodivergent need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.

The Lead will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Neurodiversity Lead will accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.

The Neurodiversity Lead will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You

To be successful as the Neurodiversity Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

As Health Intelligence Analyst you will be working as part of our highly respected health intelligence team, playing a key part in ensuring we use data and insights to understand and advocate for the needs and experiences of people living with arthritis and MSK conditions.

The postholder will undertake data analysis, data visualisation, and produce reports to develop and administer systems and processes that aid effective data intelligence gathering. They will also deliver projects and support a forward plan for arthritis and musculoskeletal health intelligence; contribute and work effectively within a dynamic team; and support, nurture and grow relationships with external and internal partners to further Versus Arthritis’ data leadership role in the musculoskeletal (MSK) sector.

About the role

• Lead on establishing and maintaining a ‘single source of the truth’ on arthritis and musculoskeletal statistics and data within the charity and beyond. This includes our annual State of MSK Health statistics report and other statistics publications.
• Support on the development and delivery of a pipeline of insightful MSK and health data analysis and quantitative research, to better understand the UK population with arthritis and MSK conditions and to inform the direction of Versus Arthritis’ ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.
• Work with others, particularly colleagues in UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence, to influence improved quality, extent and use of musculoskeletal health data by statutory bodies across the four UK nations, including Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), National Health Service (NHS), Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), nationally and locally to improve musculoskeletal health nationally.
• Manage and maintain our health intelligence website, intranet and Sharepoint pages and data enquiries inbox, ensuring they are up to date, reflect the latest developments of the health intelligence function in the charity and that queries are answered on time.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of epidemiological research methods including experience of using multiple sets of health-related data and information systems, and large-scale data sets for policy, quality improvement or research purposes.
• Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex data in accessible lay terms, including producing data-rich reports for a range of technical and generalist audiences.
• Ability to analyse complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
• Strong experience of using NHS and other national health-based datasets, and a good understanding of UK health and social care systems.
• Experience using data to produce infographics or data visualisation.

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. We are seeking an Assistant Coastal Birds Project Monitoring Officer to join our cause.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bird Aware Solent team, hosted by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust within the Ecology Team. Bird Aware Solent aims to raise awareness of overwintering coastal birds within the three Solent Special Protection Areas and reduce disturbance to coastal birds through influencing the behaviour of visitors, and through projects that aim to mitigate for increased visitor and recreational pressures in the Solent.

A number of mitigation projects have been proposed and implemented, requiring monitoring to understand their effectiveness as well as increase our knowledge of the efficacy of different site-based mitigation strategies. This role will assist on the design and implementation of mitigation monitoring for the projects, by surveying and assessing the impacts on coastal birds and visitor behaviour.

Monitoring and research work is essential to ensuring conservation decision-making is based on sound evidence. This role therefore requires experience in coastal bird ecology, ecological survey techniques and data analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new senior role within our organisation. The Interim Head of Research and Campaigns will lead our Research function and advocacy efforts, ensuring that evidence-based insights drive our campaigns, policy work, and public engagement.

Recently kicking off our new ‘Creating Positive Change Together’ strategy, coproduced by over 130 staff, volunteers, clients and partners, Groundswell has ambitious plans around influencing more change and amplifying voices to promote healthier lives and a better future for anyone who has experienced homelessness. This role directly aligns with these strategic plans, to refine and use innovative participatory research centring lived experience, share and amplify insight from people with experience of homelessness, and increase our campaigning activities to change systems and break down the barriers that stand in people’s way to a healthier life and more hopeful future.

This role has been created on an interim basis to assess its impact and effectiveness, with a key focus on reviewing the priorities, progression and support of our Research Team and making recommendations for the future regarding this new role. The role will sit within the wider Participation, Progression and Creating Change team.

Background

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing.
