We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and proactive individual to join Big C as a Health Academy Support and Information Officer. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll support the delivery of activities and services that make a real difference to people affected by cancer across our community.

About the role
As part of our small Health Academy team, you’ll work closely with the Health Academy Lead, Nutritionist and Physical Wellbeing Facilitators to deliver a range of wellbeing activities and events. From supporting programmes like Get Moving, Walking Football and Fishing for Wellbeing to attending community events, your work will help promote healthier lifestyles, encourage behaviour change, and raise awareness of cancer prevention and early detection.

You’ll also be a welcoming and supportive point of contact for our service users, offering practical support, listening, and guidance, while helping to ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with best practice. Alongside this, you’ll support the smooth running of the team through administration, data collection, and collaboration with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of Health Academy activities, wellbeing programmes, and external events
• Provide a warm, supportive point of contact for service users, offering information, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services
• Assist in assessing and responding to service user needs, working within agreed policies and under appropriate supervision
• Coordinate and support administration, data collection, and reporting to help inform service development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners to deliver high-quality services
• Support the organisation and maintenance of equipment, resources, and health and safety requirements
• Represent Big C at events and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services

The King’s Trust is looking for a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Advisor to join our national Safeguarding Team on a maternity cover basis. This is a vital role where your expertise will help protect and promote the safety and well-being of young people aged 11 to 30, with a particular focus on those aged 18 to 25. Working at the heart of the organisation, you will handle safeguarding referrals, manage cases and work closely with colleagues across the Trust to ensure young people are supported at the right time and in the right way.

About the Role 

You will be a key member of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service. Taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of high quality crisis support  and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the Crisis Cafe and Helpline services. Working closely with other staff such as: The Service Manager, Team Leaders, Co-Ordinators, Contract and Bank Support Workers and Volunteers in order to ensure services are of the highest quality and to support the continued growth and development of the service.

We offer: 

• Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays) 
• An additional day of leave each year for your birthday following completion of probation period.

About the Role: 

The Mental Health A&E Link worker will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in A&E, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect. 

They will encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery; through providing emotional support, signposting and completing onward referrals into mental health support. They will work closely with A&E clinical staff, integrated discharge teams, Bounce Back, and mental health liaison teams, to proactively identify referrals into the crisis alternatives service to facilitate timely discharges from A&E.

A strong, connected, and sustainable VCSE sector is essential to building resilient communities and driving lasting social change.

In this role, you will design and deliver high quality training courses with a particular focus on fundraising. This includes developing detailed session plans and clear training overviews for communications, consistently applying RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement) to monitor learners progress and outcomes, and gathering and analysing feedback via evaluation forms to continuously improve training quality and relevance. 

You will build and maintain positive, proactive relationships with existing and potential funders, including using data and insight to identify and engage funders who are currently under investing in Redbridge. Organise and facilitate regular Meet the Funder events and other engagement opportunities to connect VCSE organisations with funders, fostering strong relationships and enhancing access to funding opportunities. 

Working collaboratively with funders and statutory partners, you will champion and co design accessible and inclusive funding practices that reflect the needs and priorities of VCSE organisations and the communities they serve.

Please note that this role can be offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, agreed dependent on candidate’s availability. Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants with a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role, based within Woodville Family Hub (Cheetham).

As a CYP Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality, trauma informed and consistent support to children and young people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are currently living in interim accommodation.
