Position Overview: As the Head of Alumni Relations, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong connections with our alumni network. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and oversee the management of our university ambassadors, ensuring they effectively represent and promote our organisation's mission and values within their respective institutions. Additionally, you will chair the alumni advisory board, a committee developed to grow the alumni community and act as a sounding board feeding back into the organisation's strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Ambassador Program Management: Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and support university ambassadors. Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to ambassadors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Monitor ambassador performance and provide feedback to optimise their effectiveness.

Relationship Building: Collaborate with university administrators and career services to maximise our presence on campus, developing new pipelines for future delegate recruitment.

Alumni Advisory Board Management:Recruit, onboard, and engage members for the Alumni advisory board. Facilitate board meetings, set agendas, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among board members. Seek input and guidance from the board on alumni engagement strategies and initiatives.

Alumni Development: Organise CPD opportunities for alumni, including seminars, webinars, and skill-building workshops. Coordinate social get-togethers and informal networking events to facilitate connections and foster community among alumni..

About Fusion:
Fusion Maidstone is a health & wellbeing charity based in Park Wood.  We opened our doors in 2003 and set about developing programmes, activities and services to address the changing needs of the residents of Park Wood with a strong focus on addressing health inequalities.  Fusion works in the community to offer assistance in four key areas  Public Health, Food/Food Poverty, Social Inclusion, Mental Health.  Services are either delivered directly by Fusion or by a network of partner agencies.  We bring services to local people thereby removing barriers to engagement.

Courtesy of the National Lottery Community Fund Fusion Maidstone are able to launch their Park Wood Connects project which is a three year engagement and support initiative co-designed with the local community to support people struggling with the combined effects of the cost-of-living crisis, the mental health crisis, and high levels of social isolation/loneliness in one of the South East’s most deprived communities.  To address the growing numbers of vulnerable local residents we propose to do two things through the Park Wood Connects project:

• Reach out better across the community to make more people aware that we and our partners are here to help.
• Make more services available locally by encouraging more people and organisations to begin delivering support locally.

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
Fusion is employing a Community Outreach Worker who has a great sense of community and customer service, enjoys working in an outreach environment and who is looking to make a positive difference to the local community.

Working closely with a second Community Outreach Worker and the Community Project Coordinator you will be performing tasks associated with community outreach including identifying and directly engaging with hard-to-reach individuals and families, providing responsive and effective support, deliver drop-in information sessions, recruit, induct and train volunteers to support the project, organise and host community engagement events throughout the year.

Organise and deliver 4 community engagement events each year of the project.
Organise and deliver a minimum of 12 drop in surgeries each year of the project in various locations.

Parkinson’s UK works with health and social care professionals to transform Parkinson’s services across the UK.

We do this through the Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN), a network of around 6,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. The regional model in the devolved nations will remain the same: 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.

To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for 2 healthcare professionals to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

What will be expected of you in this role
You’ll:

• Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.
• Drive engagement and participation with the Excellence Network at a regional level. Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region
• Act as a professional ambassador for the Excellence Network and help represent the professionals in your region.
• Engage with Integrated Care Board (ICB) leaders to help influence the development of your Integrated Care System (ICS).
• Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working withthe team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year. Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting. Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
• Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.

What expertise you’ll bring
You’ll:

• Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.
• Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK

You’ll:

• Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
• Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where
• your role fits in.
• Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
• Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
• Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
• Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.

A bit more about the opportunity

Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.

Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.

Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.

We will also ask you to send across a monthly invoice to the Professional Engagement Manager at Parkinson’s UK and include a short paragraph outlining what you’ve done in the role each month. We can provide an example of this.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and capable individual to join as a Lifeline Caseworker for our South East service, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a 12-month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a salary of up to £26,796 per annum plus excellent benefits.

You will be based at our National Cat Adoption Centre, in Chelwood Gate with frequent travel across the South East. Cats Protection is operating a system of hybrid working, with the flexibility to work from home when appropriate. This can be discussed further at interview stage.

Cats Protection’s Lifeline is a pet fostering service for anyone fleeing domestic abuse. The majority of our referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places cats into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners can be reunited with them. 

Due to the nature of this role, this post is for women only and is exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities of our Lifeline Caseworker:

As our Lifeline Caseworker, you will be involved with assessing referrals and admitting cats onto the service, providing pet advice and support to our volunteer foster carers and working with other stakeholders such as pet owners, domestic abuse support services, and internal Cats Protection employees or other agencies. As a human-benefit service, there is minimal cat handling involved, the role includes extensive communication via phone, email and in person, as well as daily admin and extensive driving.

What we’re looking for in our Lifeline Caseworker:

• good all-round experience of performing administrative duties in a busy service
• previous professional experience giving pet care advice
• previous experience in a public facing role
• an understanding of the problems experienced by families fleeing domestic abuse with pets
• a confident self-starter who has had experience of working with volunteers and home visiting
• a full, clean, manual UK driving licence
• good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• experience of working in the animal welfare sector and of being able to provide basic cat welfare and behaviour advice would be highly desirable

Stop Domestic Abuse support all those affected by domestic abuse by providing innovative and unique services. They ensure that victims are supported to recover, and perpetrators are supported to change their behaviour.

This Refuge Worker role is on a permanent contract, part time basis (22 hours a week) and will be based in East Hampshire.

Refuge workers will provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge. The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation.

Additionally, you will establish and maintain links with statutory and voluntary agencies; to promote and support the welfare of families who have experienced domestic abuse. Form and maintain relationships with local specialist domestic abuse services, and finally, ensure that child welfare is ensured in accordance with Stop Domestic Abuse’s Protection from Abuse Policy.

This role includes the opportunity to be on call out of office hours as this is a 24-hour, 7 day a week service running outside of usual service hours.  The on-call out of hours service may involve the following duties and responsibilities, this is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change to ensure contract and service delivery requirements are met by the organisation and to provide a high-quality service to people affected by domestic abuse. Stop Domestic Abuse is committed to running a 24-hour service to people affected by domestic abuse that is accessible, supportive and welcoming.

To be considered for this role you will have excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal. An understanding and awareness of the needs of women, men and children of all ages who have experienced domestic violence and have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

About the role

You will provide key inbound referral management and administrative support to the Money & Energy Advisers and within our Patient Support Services team for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living.

To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with people living with kidney disease and affected by kidney disease, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and to facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and to our funders.
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst people living with disease and affected by kidney disease and professionals across the region.
• Provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity.

Under the guidance of the Service Manager, you will shoulder the responsibility and accountability for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Sexual Violence Services.

Role overview

The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. These tasks include administrative support through our online mentoring platform, data entry and data monitoring, training our volunteers to be mentors and inducting young people onto our programmes.

Salary and benefits

Salary: £24,900 - £27,200 (£14,940 - £16,500 actual based on 22.5 hours a week)

Contract: Fixed term (ending 30 April 2025)

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Are you a good communicator and curious about people? We’re looking for an Involvement Assistant Apprentice to join the Involvement team and support activities that enable us to gather evidence to better understand peoples’ experiences, across the full spectrum of lived experience of dementia. You’ll support key involvement activities  influencing local and national work, helping us to make the case for change as well  working on projects that have a direct impact on people’s daily lives. 

You’ll have the opportunity to take forward a project that will support the Alzheimer’s Society to reach and involve more people affected by dementia.
 
The apprenticeship is for 18 months and in this role, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

About you
You will play a key co-ordination and support role within the Involvement Team. Working with colleagues, people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in person and by telephone, email, via social media channels and over teams and zoom.
 
You’ll be supporting activities that enable people with lived and learnt experience to collaborate, sharing their knowledge, skills and opinions to help plan, shape and influence the work of Alzheimer’s Society.

Patience, empathy and a willingness to learn are essential skills. Someone who is self-motivated and has great interpersonal skills. You’ll be technically literate /IT proficient and interested in learning how to use our Dementia Voice Database. 

6 hours per week will be dedicated to the apprenticeship and developing in the role. 

At the end of the apprenticeship training, you will complete an End Point Assessment where you will present a portfolio of the work that you have completed that links to a set of competencies set at the start and you will present a specific project you have worked on.
