Your role
As Shop Manager of Scope's Eastbourne shop, you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.
This role will work within a small, busy team of Training Administrators and will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination and administration of our training programmes and initiatives. The role holder will be an experienced administrator who is detail oriented and highly organised.
Location - Hybrid – 2 days a week in the BDA office, Access Business Centre Office 205, Willoughby Road, Bracknell, RG12 8FB, with the remainder of the week being home-based (UK). Travel to team days approximately 1-2 times a year is required.
Hours of work - Full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) considered. When applying, please state your preference.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):
· Providing administrative support to the Training department.
· Responding to enquiries, either by telephone or email, regarding our training products in a timely manner.
· Managing the Training department email inboxes.
· Processing bookings, liaising closely with the Senior Training Administrator and Course Leaders.
· Maintaining the CRM system, and other record keeping systems, to ensure accurate storage of information.
· Ensuring payments are received and processed.
· Preparing and collating training materials.
· Providing support to the course tutors/leaders.
· Updating the website with training information and courses as necessary.
· Supporting the Training department with other activities as required.
Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a training/course environment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
· Self-motivated, proactive and solutions focussed.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all employees.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, supporting other team members as needed.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Knowledge of Dyslexia would be an advantage.

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.
Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills.
You will:
• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts (Mole Valley district council, Tandridge district council, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, Reigate and Banstead borough council).
• Support our clients with practical tasks that will enable them to move off of the streets or sustain accommodation.
• Directly support clients, identifying activities that will assist in their journey towards recovery and away from life on the streets.
• Maintain and support links with community programs and resources.
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed and work is recorded and monitored.
To succeed as the Assistant Support Worker you will have:
• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service.
• Have an interest in homelessness and a desire to support us to have a positive impact on the lives of homeless people.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in order to remain strongly outcome focused, with the ability to coordinate a high number of cases and complete tasks promptly and efficiently.

We are looking for Support Workers to join the East Surrey Outreach Service team.
You will:
• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts.
• Working closely with Lead Workers and Assistant Support Workers to identify the quickest and most appropriate route off the street for people found rough sleeping, and devise plans to achieve this.
• Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation.
• Work alongside partner agencies to ensure that clients are accessing appropriate support to access and sustain accommodation.
• Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes.
• Have a UK Driving Licence.
To succeed as the Support Worker you will have:
• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service.
• Experience working with people who have slept rough or vulnerable adults and supporting them to access services.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in order to remain strongly outcome focused, with the ability to coordinate a high number of cases and complete tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Good communication skills and confidence in public speaking when representing Thames Reach externally.

- Build and develop local partnerships, collaborations, coalitions in order to achieve innovative and creative responses with positive outcomes that will meet identified needs
What you’ll bring
- Experience of people (staff and volunteer) management as well as a commitment to working collaboratively with volunteers, and demonstrable experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including those from diverse communities
- Experience of engaging and inspiring internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver organisational objectives
- Experience of facilitating and modelling a collaborative and transparent approach, which promotes trust, mutual respect, ownership, reflection and a sense of responsibility
- Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate health, social care structures and services relevant to Parkinson’s and of the principles of influencing and campaigning

As a Settling in Facilitator, you will be embedded within a prison-based setting and provide a quality service to people first entering prison. Q:alliance provides support, information and representation for the LGBTQ+ people who live, work and play in Milton Keynes and Bedford. This exciting new role will help deliver the directives of a history and heritage project funded by the Heritage Lottery. The project will support the erudition of LGBTQ+ heritage in Milton Keynes, advancing local communities’ understanding of Milton Keynes’ LGBTQ+ history and inspiring a commitment to encapsulating, celebrating, and feeling connected through shared heritage. This post will be key to extending our reach into seldom asked communities, as well as securing relationships with founding community members. Main Responsibilities
• Project Development - Develop and implement the directives of the funded project, supporting key partners in their collaboration with Q:alliance. Support the gathering of audio histories and the collection and succession of community artefacts through the archive. Evaluate and analyse impact.
• E-book creation – Support the Communications and Engagement Manager on the development of an E-book to capture the outputs of the project, including key heritage findings and personal stories.
• Event coordination – Plan, organise and support the delivery of history clubs in line with the project plan, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of invested community members. Support the curation of associated exhibition events.
• Stakeholder and community engagement – Work with the Communications and Engagement Manager to plan engagement and outreach activities in line with the directives of the funded project. About the role:
This is a home based role that will include some travel across England and Wales for meetings etc. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. From 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship will be merging with the mental health charity Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades.
