The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is seeking an enthusiastic Education and Events Manager to spearhead their dynamic events and education portfolio. As a membership organisation dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control (IPC), the IPS is at the forefront of safeguarding public health in health and care settings.
The IPS is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among IPC practitioners worldwide. With 2,400 members across the UK and internationally, the IPS plays a pivotal role in supporting IPC professionals, promoting best practices, and influencing policy to prevent infections.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the planning and execution of the IPS’s educational programmes and events. From designing innovative educational resources to orchestrating engaging conferences and workshops, you'll be at the helm of shaping the IPS's educational landscape. Working closely with committees and stakeholders, you'll ensure events meet the diverse educational needs of its members and attract new partnerships and revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive educational programme aligned with IPS's strategic goals.
- Plan and execute high-quality events, managing logistics from venue selection to onsite staffing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive event success.
- Manage budgets effectively to achieve financial targets.
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to expand IPS's educational initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (education, event management, healthcare, etc.).
- Proven experience in education and event planning, ideally within a similar professional body.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and mentor junior colleagues.
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and travel as needed.

Prospectus is excited to be working with a thought leader within the Health and Social Care space and supporting their search for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager. This new role will be the only MEL Manager within this impactful organisation and will be supporting our client by monitoring internal performance regarding supporting grantees projects, and not evaluating the programmes themselves.
The successful candidate within this role will be an experience MEL Manager with a strong technical expertise within their field. You will be happy to work alone when needed and also confident to get involved, to challenge problems and get them solved, not be phased by some ambiguity at times. You will be setting up MEL frameworks in an environment that celebrates effective simplicity and being the go-to expert within this field.
Our client is a well-recognised organisation. They have recently been awarded significant funding and the MEL Manager contract is aligned to this. The role is expected to be a fixed term of 10 month, but an extension is possible.

As the Charity embarks on a new strategy, they are undertaking a multi-year systems transformation programme. A key part of this is the CRM Change Programme, the foundation of continued supporter and income growth, enabling the team members to engage more deeply with individual and organisational supporters, through new products & services, innovative campaigns, collaborative partnerships, and exciting events.
The goal is a CRM environment where users can manage processes effectively, using automated workflows and apps to deliver exceptional supporter experiences in a secure, contemporary, and well-governed system.
The Role
We are looking for a Data Governance Lead to come in and work to define what first-class data governance looks like for the Charity, including establishing a data retention framework for their relationship marketing systems and tools, to ensure privacy is included within process design at all points, and will work to embed best practice data quality standards within the organisation.
You will champion and train colleagues in how to get the most from data, creating a framework for data classification, discovery and the provision of self-service datasets and increasing data literacy across the organisation.
This individual will be the resident expert in data governance and maturity, adept in data governance tools and helping to classify, categorise and document our data.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards and procedures, with an understanding of advocating for better use and management of data along with delivering better data literacy within an organisation. You should have experience of setting up or establishing a data governance framework from scratch, enabling data users to deliver their objectives efficiently and confidently.
Experience of implementing data governance tools such as Azure Purview, Informatica, Talend, etc would be highly advantageous.
Furthermore, you should have excellent communication and persuasion skills with the ability to turn technical understanding into clear, understandable, and useful information and advice for internal customers.
Ideally you will have worked as a Data Governance Manager or a Data Governance Lead, but we will also welcome applications from those with strong Data Management experience across a range of sectors and disciplines.
