As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to diaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Communicating regularly with our donor companies and receiving NGO partners
• Updating offers on our management system

Who you are:

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills

About the role of Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance.  The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting.  Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.

It is a varied and senior position that is part time, 3 days per week, and we are happy to discuss how the hours are worked over the week. It’s hybrid, working a minimum of one day per week in our Waterloo office. The salary is £45,000 to £48,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW etc).
• Have 5+ years PQE, preferably with charity sector/ fund accounting experience.
• Able to demonstrate working independently and as finance lead.

This role supports the delivery of METRO’s groups for LGBTQ+ young people, alongside a Lead Youth Worker. The successful applicant will work with the Youth Group Lead to deliver sessions, promote the group and complete administrative tasks associated with the groups. The role sits in METROs vibrant Youth Domain Team, where we are all motivated by creating safer spaces for all LGBTQ+ and questioning young people to thrive.

Programme

METRO youth groups provide safe, social spaces for LGBTQ+ young people to meet and receive support from youth workers and their peers.

The groups provide a structured programme of activities which is co-designed with young people. The programme addresses key areas such as mental health and wellbeing, sexual health, drugs and alcohol awareness, as well as rights for young LGBTQ+ people. The programme supports with employment, study, life skills, and healthy living.

The groups also provide opportunities to connect and participate in cross-group events such as half-term events, Prides, Youth Summits, and other opportunities. To support this staff is required to occasionally change their working pattern to other evenings and weekend work. Employees are offered sessional work as and when there is a need in the domain.

Role

This role will primarily be posted at METRO’s weekly “Snap” LGBTQ+ group in Bromley for 16–24-year-olds. The group is delivered in person. The role will occasionally support cross-group events and outings as per agreement. METRO Youth workers are often offered extra sessional work to provide cover in other locations across south London. Staff travel expenses outside of regular place of work is covered by METRO.

You'll lead on day-to-day responsibilities for property, health and safety and vehicle fleet regulatory and statutory compliance at St John's College and its residential settings.

You'll routinely conduct property inspections and identify any corrective actions required, ensure that these issues are recorded, and remedial actions are followed up. We are looking for someone who has:

• Valid UK/EU driving license which is free from penalty points that relate to disqualifications or other serious road traffic offences.
• Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical compliance in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and/or regulations.
• Practical experience of effective risk assessment and management and able to provide professional support and advice.
• Experience of using and maintaining paper and electronic records/systems and effective compliance monitoring.

Invisible Palace is currently looking for a Youth Support Worker to join an established circus project that works with local a primary school and youth partners in the Bromley and Lewisham areas of London.

Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school or youth work setting, but could be working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, after school clubs or the care sector.

You will need to have availability during late afternoon and early evening and during school holidays, these are the times when activities on the circus programme take place.

Job Description - Freelance Youth Support Worker

• Freelance contract of up to 8 hours per week at £18 per hour for an estimated 44 weeks of the year.
• Available after school, early evening, and school holidays.
• Attend after school club sessions periodically to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, currently Wednesday evenings 10 weeks per term.
• Attend taster sessions for youth groups to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, usually afternoon sessions during half term or summer holidays.
• Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and good communication with young people and families.
• Identify needs of young people and support those needs to minimise barriers to participation in the circus programme.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to young people as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals within the programme.
• Support young people directly with travel to and from sessions at local circus school using bus, taxi, or with volunteer drivers. Usually early evenings.
• Support young people with additional behavioural needs during sessions this may involve attending after school session more frequently.
• Work closely with colleagues from Invisible Palace and partner organisations to support good and clear communication for the benefit of young people taking part in activities.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity and their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who they continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease.

As the Challenge Events Executive, you will coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge events that drive participation and income. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of all challenge events within your portfolio – delivering marketing plans that drive participant numbers, and stewardship journeys that provide excellent supporter experiences and maximise income.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of effective marketing channels and techniques for driving participation in challenge events, particularly via digital channels.

Our client, a leading London university, is looking to appoint a temporary Research Manger to lead on bid development and submission in an HSS school. The post holder will provide high level professional advice and support to the ongoing development and implementation of School research strategies and innovation activities for your allocated School.

This is a FTC, running until the end of January 2025 in the first instance. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days on site in east London.

Some key duties and responsibilities:

• Manage systems for data management and analysis, including analysis and modelling scenarios for REF, KEF, impact and other purposes as required, as well as develop and maintain systems independently to record and manage research data for reporting as required.

• Contribute to the development of the School/s’s research and impact strategy, working proactively with senior academics to enhance research activities and foster impactrelated activity.
• Manage and report on the financial sustainability of research projects including research funding activity on awards and highlight potential risks, ensuring compliance with financial procedures and funder expectations.
