About the role:

Kinship is in our third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We are looking for a new Associate Director of Peer Support and Community to build and develop our model and to take the team to the next phase of growth and impact.

Your first priority will be to oversee delivery of the Department for Education national Peer Support Service contract in England. You will lead the development of our hub and spoke model, with an enhanced offer of national resources and support together with a continued focus on on-the-ground support for kinship carers to set up and sustain a network of peer support groups. You will ensure all members of the team have clarity and are empowered to meet new targets and ways of working.

The role will also lead on the strategic development of peer support approaches in Wales (for which we are seeking funding), ensuring innovation and good practice is shared across the nations.

Kinship peer support groups are powerful levers for change in local, regional and national ecosystems. Your team will ensure that every kinship carer in England and Wales has access to a peer support group, or support to set up and create their own. The team will be purposeful about offering developmental support to all kinship peer support groups, including independent groups, ensuring they remain or become sustainable. And that they have resources, training and peer networks to support this.

Reflecting our strategic focus on developing our Kinship Community of more than 10,000 kinship carers across England and Wales, you will lead a new community strategy, co-ordinating the development of opportunities for community connection and community power. This will include taking leadership for developing the Kinship model of community engagement and integrating across all our ‘in person’ and digital services and activities.

You will ensure a collaborative approach with services, alignment with national and local campaigning activity, and work closely with marketing and communications colleagues to support kinship carer reach and engagement with our community offer.

We’re taking an integrated approach to our services, so you’ll collaborate well across teams to ensure that support groups and their leaders have easy access to high quality advice, information and training. The team will need to work closely with colleagues delivering our new training and support contract, funded by the Department for Education.

Key responsibilities include:

• Innovation of the Peer Support Service.

• Develop and rollout peer support and community strategy and operational plan. 

• Implement monitoring and evaluation and impact tools for timely and accurate reporting of activity and engagement.

• Work with the Development team to develop proposals for the community and peer support which are ready for fundraising and business development.

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in scaling a national service or programme with high quality outputs. This includes overseeing delivery, strategic planning, budgeting, managing delivery, meeting KPIs, stakeholder engagement and reporting to funders.

• Experience of governance and managing risk on high profile service delivery.

• Experience of effective budget management.

• Significant experience of leading the development and delivery of peer support services.

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

You will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate and lead bid-writing across the organisation, line-managing a team of Bid Writers and working closely with other colleagues across Business Development, Marketing and Operations.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £44,500 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. About You:

You will have experience of training and presenting as well as supporting Face to Face campaigns ideally within a third sector fundraising role. Key to this role will be the ability to build, manage and develop relationships.

About The Role

• Provide continual training and compliance monitoring support to our Face to Face partners in the execution of all door, private Sites and events fundraising, this includes leading on developing new opportunities in conjunction with St John events.
• Oversee and collaboratively work with our Telephone Fundraising partners on their training and compliance of all deliverables such as welcome calls, upgrades, reactivations and other fundraising campaigns – includes caller listening
• Oversee regular audits of agents, to monitor against key auditory compliance and performance metrics.
• Manage relationships with our Face to Face partners with training, development and materials, and performance reviews. Monitoring various forms or training and reviewing inductions in line with our agreed contract.

Office Location – Wendover, Bucks.

Salary - Up to £30,000 (FTE)

About the Role 

The Events Fundraiser will support the charity’s aim to provide all life-limited children, their families, and carers, within their hospice, emotional support through the power and pleasure of nature. The post holder will be responsible for generating income through the management of a range of fundraising events, as well as supporting individuals organising their own fundraising activities within their community and/or corporate environment. 

You will ensure efficient event management and administration as well as provide excellent supporter care. 

The Event Fundraiser will:

• Project manage a range of events, including planning, marketing, and supporter stewardship, through to event delivery and evaluation. 
• Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver and schedule events, on time, within budget, meeting fundraising goals. 
• Deliver exceptional supporter care to those who support the work of the charity.

As part of our fund management programmes, THET will be conducting a variety of international visits and events in the next 11 months. We require a consultant to lead the administration of the logistics involved in this work.

Assignment overview and scheduling

The consultant will provide logistical support across three main categories:

1. Scoping assessments in four sub-Saharan African countries, namely Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A scoping assessment is a week-long series of in-person meetings with Ministry of Health and other relevant government sector representatives, subnational health agencies and government authorities, regulatory bodies, training institutions, FCDO, UK DHSC, WHO local offices.
   2. Each visit will likely involve up to 3 staff travelling from the UK to the country
   3. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel rather than the scoping assessment meetings.
2. Delegation visit from Zimbabwe to UK
   1. A week-long visit of up to 7 Ministry of Health representatives and other national stakeholders to the UK
   2. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel and some of the meetings while in-country.
3. Programme launch events in Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A one-day long event in each country, with between 40-80 attendees
   2. Each event will likely see 2-3 staff travelling from the UK to the country. The consultant will be required to organise their travel and venue booking.

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise required

To successfully undertake this assignment, the Consultant should meet the following minimum requirements:

• International travel logistics experience, ideally in sub-Saharan Africa
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Budget preparation and tracking
• Proven organisational and administrative skills, with sound IT skills (Word and Excel)
• Flexibility and adaptability working within a small organisation
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative

The contract is for 40 days over eleven months. The Consultant will receive a daily rate of £180, which totals to £7,200 for the whole programme. The consultant will invoice THET on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable and will cover all expenses apart from project-related travel and communication expenses. Where reasonable travel and communications expenses are incurred, the Consultant will be remunerated following submission of timely and accurate receipts.

Receipts must be kept, where possible, in order to claim for support costs. Consultants will not be expected to use their own funds to cover project-related costs.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations. 

You will also facilitate the national deployment of Big Green Heart workshops across the UK, and will work with the CEO and trustees to implement the strategy needed to upscale the work of Big Green Heart.

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

This role is the first point of contact for journalists getting in touch with the Trussell Trust. The role is accountable for handling media enquiries; checking and responding to the press inbox; media monitoring and securing press coverage. The Press Officer will assist with media work through print, online and broadcast news to help build understanding, awareness and consideration of the organisation’s mission and goal. The Press Officer will support and advise colleagues, food banks in the network and external stakeholders to ensure they receive media coverage of strategically important projects.

Role responsibilities 

· Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with the Trussell Trust’s key messages and priorities.

· Build relationships across the organisation, within the food bank network, with external stakeholders such as corporate partners, and with journalists to assist with securing coverage across national, regional and local media to reach new audiences and build cause awareness

· Horizon scan for media opportunities and develop innovative integrated communication plans, overseeing advice, statements, timelines, and key messaging to engage specific audience segments.

· Arrange spokespeople for interviews and support with organising and managing press visits to food banks, as well as photo calls, to support the organisation’s communications priorities and campaigns 

· Circulate regular coverage updates across the organisation and help maintain and develop media databases, key performance indicator reports and other admin systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement 

· Act as the media lead on proactive projects that help build understanding and awareness of both Trussell Trust and the food bank network’s strategic objectives.

In your role as School Fee Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day administration of student accounts whilst delivering accounts records and customer service.

Your day to day duties as School Fee Assistant will include;

• Processing Accounts Receivable invoices
• Processing all income, student record updated
• Raising credit notes
• Very light credit control - chasing outstanding payments
• Maintaining accurate billing information
• Taking payments over the phone and ensuring all income is recorded in correct ledger
• Managing the accounts receivable inbox and handling relevant queries
• Assist with month end reconciliations and biannual billing processes

In your role as Student Fee Assistant your duties you will work as part of a wider finance team at the Head of Offices.

The skills you will bring to your role as Student Fee Assistant will include;

• Prior experience in similar accounts receivable role (Prior experience in a school is not essential)
• Knowledge and understanding of debit VS credit
• Excellent communication and customer service experience
• Working knowledge of Excel and experience of any accounting system

We are looking for a Policy Officer to join our busy team, specialising in welfare and employment policy.

This role will see you working to influence the policy landscape, and develop evidence-based policy positions, on issues concerning finances and debt, welfare benefits, and employment, affecting the Armed Forces community.

· Monitor the policy landscape and upcoming policy development across the welfare and employment portfolio, within central, local, and devolved government

· Use qualitative and quantitative research, policy analysis and lived experience to develop robust, evidence-based policy positions and proposals

· Identify, establish, and maintain an impactful network of key policy stakeholders across the charity sector and government

· Represent RBL publicly through securing opportunities to present policy issues and products, including at relevant events, workshops, external committees and working groups

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The role

As Community Engagement Officer you will play a key role in ensuring the Foundation achieves its objectives of engaging with and increasing physical activity levels amongst the four key priority groups facing the greatest inequalities: low socio-economic groups, women and girls, disabled people and people with long term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities. This will predominantly be achieved through the critical support you will provide to our ambitious PlayZones Programme, as we continue to roll the programme out across priority areas of the Country.

We have an ambition to deliver in excess of 200 PlayZone facilities by 2025. To realise this ambition, we’re going to focus on investing in safe, inclusive, and accessible facilities in communities with the greatest need. We will tackle inequalities in physical activity levels and create inclusive opportunities for our priority groups to become active through recreational formats of football and other sports and activities.

With a great deal to do, the role will be pivotal in working with local groups to support them through the application process, and to ensure high quality projects are being developed based on local community need.

The role sits within the Football Foundation’s Delivery Team, the team responsible for strategic identification and capital project delivery, reporting to the Community Engagement Lead and with responsibility for a portfolio of PlayZone programme areas within one of the Delivery Team geographical regions.

You will provide critical support to applicants and work extremely closely with our network of Delivery Managers & Officers to advise and agree community engagement plans for a range of Over £25k projects – helping to ensure their engagement is robust, but that applicants also receive support and guidance as required throughout the development of their application.

Community Engagement Officers will champion the benefits of great engagement, capturing good practice, identifying successful approaches, and share knowledge and learning across the Foundation and other stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to follow football to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

You must be educated to HND/Degree standard, or with the equivalent experience, with knowledge of how sports development can be used for community benefit. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and customers remotely.

Your knowledge of place-based working and how to best reach and engage with local communities will be key for this role, as well as your understanding of the inequalities that exist in supporting active lives across socio economic groups, women & girls, individuals with a disability or a long-term health condition, and culturally diverse communities. You will be aware of and have experience of dealing with the operations and challenges faced by community organisations, charities, and the voluntary sector.

You must be highly organised, with working knowledge of different project management techniques and experience of managing multiple projects at the same time. While not essential, experience of producing robust reports and of using dashboards to monitor the progress of projects would be useful.

The salary for this role is £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience).
