We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our team in Newbury and Reading.

You'll manage your own diary with a mix of working from home, office and out with our customers.

This is a full time permanent role with a starting salary of £32,000 - £38,000 depending on your experience. 

Your role

As a Housing Officer you'll be delivering a professional and high-quality mixed tenure service to our customers, using your knowledge and skills to resolve a range of housing management challenges.

This could include anti-social behaviour, housing and neighbourhood issues, contract related breaches or changes, fraud and safeguarding.

You'll be an integral part of ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe, whilst listening to our customers needs and making changes when needed.

You'll balance your caseload with projects, shaping sustainable communities that develop an inclusive environment for our customers.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• The ability to proactively manage a complex caseload 
• Strong communication skills with previous experience of working with customers in a demanding environment.
• Experience in providing an Excellent customer service, contributing to us achieving a 90% customer satisfaction rate
• Previous experience, or a knowledge of delivering housing management services
• Experience of using computer systems, for example Microsoft Office
• The ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies

As you will be visiting our customers you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

A DBS check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.

We’re looking for a Pets and Housing Development Lead, who will play a pivotal role in our projects, which strive to ensure owners and their pets stay together during difficult times.

What does this role do?

As Pets and Housing Development Lead, you’ll:

• manage the continuous development of our Pets and Housing services and projects, including leading on a critical new project moving our data to Salesforce,
• cultivate and maintain key external relationships, such as engaging veterinary practices signed up to our schemes or other organisations in the sector that we partner with,
• develop and create social media content to build the online presence our services have,
• work closely with the PR team to promote our services, from writing press releases to carrying out interviews, to ensure our work reaches the audiences where it can have the most impact.

The outreach department supports people and dogs in crisis, such as those escaping domestic abuse or experiencing homelessness. These specialist services reduce the need for someone to unnecessarily relinquish or euthanise their dog due to the crisis they may be facing. They include Freedom, a specialist dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, and Pets and Housing projects that support people and their dogs experiencing homelessness and advocating for people to be accommodated with their pets at all stages of their housing journey.

What you’ll be doing…

This is a busy, people-focused role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be responsible for:

About you:

• Understanding and experience of working with the issues faced by people who experience mental ill health, substance use issues, and who have offending histories, in accessing the appropriate support from services.
• A working knowledge of best practice to support individuals who may be classified as ‘experiencing multiple disadvantage’ including Trauma Informed Approaches.
• Experience working as part of a multi-agency partnership to address complex problems and bring about positive change.
• Familiarity with relevant housing, health and social justice legislation, policy and best practice relevant to systems change and people with multiple needs.
• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures.

The Opportunity  

WorkWell is a government funded programme that offers an early-intervention work and health support and assessment service. This provides holistic support to overcome health-related barriers to employment, and a single, joined-up gateway to other support services. 

We work in partnership with mental and/or physical health clinical teams, GP practices and other referral partners who refer clients who are currently in employment but are experiencing difficulties in the workplace and require assistance to help them return to work, remain in work or find new employment. This programme will also support those who have fallen out of work to get the support they need to return to employment. That support will be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. 

We would like you to join our team of Work and Health Coaches to provide highly effective support to individuals and guide them on their journey to returning, remaining or finding new employment while also supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing. The Work and Health Coach is instrumental in supporting participants to remove health related barriers by sourcing and funding appropriate interventions. 

Essential

• Demonstrable experience of successfully working to targets (E)
• Experience providing case management support to a caseload of clients with health and/or employment related barriers·
• Understanding of the practical impact of common health conditions on an individual’s ability to work.
• Ability to manage a caseload of individuals with different needs and goals.
• Practical experience in accessing external support services and well developed networking skills.

• Experience of supporting people to obtain or keep work

• Own personal lived experience of recovery from mental or physical health difficulties

We have two vacancies both full time but one post is for a materntiy cover (12 months).

Who we are: 

Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues.  Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.  

In the last few years we have adapted this approach to work with people with Autism (ASD), people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or complex issues including homelessness or addiction. 

We focus on four main areas: 

Employment Support – offering support that meets the individual’s needs using both the traditional stepped approach and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. 

Employer support – enabling the recruitment and retention of their employees. 

Social Enterprises – we offer training within social enterprises for people who want to gain a new skill, increase their confidence and be part of a team. 

Business and Enterprise support – providing one to one advice to clients who wish to start up or expand an enterprise. 

Co-production - Working Well remains committed to the principles of the recovery model and continuously improve its services through co-production.

About Research Data Scotland 

We have some excellent data in Scotland, an excellent research community, and the ability to bring people together from Government, academia, industry and public bodies, to make real change happen. Working in partnership, we’re widening the range of data available, creating new data assets and providing a single point of contact for researchers to provide safe, secure and effective access to public data in a trustworthy manner.

About the job

The Chief Data Officer is part of the RDS Leadership team, with responsibility for establishing and overseeing the range of programmes that source the portfolio of datasets available for use in research. They will lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute the tactics that broaden and maintain a collection of research data. They’ll work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the public sector to drive system-wide operational efficiency and demonstrate trustworthiness in how data is used.

This is a senior leadership position and central to the delivery of a wide-ranging data transformation agenda. Collaboration is vital in this role, so you’ll feel confident to build strong enduring relationships and have natural skills to influence others and bring people on the change journey with you.
