Insights Hub development consultancy opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals or teams to develop a county-wide digital Insights Hub for the Somerset VCFSE sector that enables users to gain and share valuable information, and identify trends.

In 2020, there were over 2,700 charities that had registered with the Charity Commission as active in Somerset. Whilst the majority are locally based and focused, there are others that have a much broader sphere of activity, spreading beyond the county boundary. There are also hundreds of Community Interest Companies, Community Benefit Societies, sports clubs, cooperatives, faith groups, and similar 'social purpose' organisations, including informal, unregistered, active voluntary groups across the county.

Together, these make up the local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, performing an essential role in strengthening communities and enriching individual lives.

We are seeking expressions of interest to develop and pilot a county-wide Insights Hub for the Somerset VCFSE sector. The Insights Hub will be a central resource which can identify trends for the sector, and will be simple to use for the sector to gain information and upload intelligence. It will facilitate joined up working, reduce duplication, better enable local voice and influence, and begin to evidence collective impact of the VCFSE sector. This will help steer the effective development of future services and gain recognition for the work our sector does. 

This is a freelance consultancy position, with a rate of £250 per day for approximately 100 days. The contract will end on 31 March 2025.
