Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity where your skills will make a difference in helping to end homelessness and rebuild lives?

About the role

We are hiring for an Outreach Coordinator with the ability to make a significant difference in a client’s life and journey. This is something the team here at BCPSOS are proud off and something you can come and be a part of too.

The recently opened Fusion drop in is a new addition to the service and generates opportunities for client engagement with managers supporting the strategic development of the service alongside clients input and ideas.

In the role of Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for line managing a team of Outreach Workers. You will be responsible in producing a regular staff rota and work plan for the team of 11. You will work very closely with the Service Manager to ensure that BCPSOS functions in a way that supports both clients and staff as well as commissioned service responsibilities. Supporting staff is important and a key area of the coordinator’s role is to promote staff wellbeing and support with the complex client caseloads.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Operational management of the BCPSOS service.
  • Client involvement opportunities through outreach and the Fusion drop-in centre.
  • Management and client facing role which allows for personal development in multiple areas.

About you

We are looking for some who is proactive and able to problem solve due to the nature of the work we undertake. Empathy and understanding of people who sleep rough is required but can be experienced and learnt once appointed for the right candidate.

We require someone who wants to support the management of the team but at the same time feel able to help and support clients face to face in varied settings, including outreach and the Fusion drop in setting. The rewards with this role are immeasurable and it really is a unique work environment with no 2 days being the same.

We’d always like to hear from people who want to help transform lives. Not sure if you have the skills and experience you need for the role? Apply and we’ll let you know!
