Job description

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital engagement and creating content that makes a difference?

At St Nicholas Hospice Care, we’re looking for a Content and Digital Engagement Officer to help us tell our stories, connect with our community and bring the work of the Hospice to life across our digital channels.

Working as part of our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of our organic social media activity and create engaging photography, video, written and visual content. You’ll develop content plans, identify opportunities for great stories and support campaigns across fundraising, volunteering, recruitment, retail and awareness of our services.

This is a varied, creative role where you’ll work with colleagues, volunteers, supporters, patients and families to capture stories and develop content that encourages people to engage with and support the Hospice. Given the nature of our work, you’ll also need the sensitivity and judgement to communicate stories relating to dying, death, grief and serious illness with empathy and care.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience creating content for social media and digital channels
  • Experience managing organisational social media accounts
  • Strong photography and video-production skills
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills
  • Experience planning and scheduling content
  • Confidence using content creation and design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creativity, initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Why join us?

Every role at St Nicholas Hospice Care contributes to supporting people facing dying, death and grief. In return, you’ll join a welcoming, values-led organisation where you’ll play an important role in supporting our people and strengthening our workplace culture.

If you’re passionate about digital storytelling and want to use your creativity to make a meaningful difference in your local community, we’d love to hear from you.
