Senior Digital Marketing Officer
About the role
We're looking for a Senior digital marketing officer to join us at an exciting time of growth for Breast Cancer Now. As part of our 2025-30 strategy, we’re growing awareness, understanding, trust and engagement, to increase the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer, and paid digital marketing has a big part to play. This role will help us deliver those ambitions, supporting the integrated marketing and communications plan and maximising the value of our investment in paid digital media.
Based in our strategic marketing and communications planning team, the Senior digital marketing officer will be our in-house expert on paid digital media, making sure the activity our media agencies deliver across the charity (brand, support, health information, influencing and fundraising) is strategically aligned, uses the most effective channel mix and is fully optimised. The role also includes managing our Google Ad Grants.
Working with marketing colleagues across the charity, the post-holder will bring activity together so it aligns with our integrated marketing and communications plan. They’ll also be the vital link between our internal teams and our media agencies, making sure briefing and optimisation processes are robust, and that performance insight is shared and acted on to keep improving results.
While our agencies manage most campaign delivery, this role will also run smaller campaigns in-house from time to time.
About you
You’ll be an experienced digital marketer who loves seeing campaigns deliver across every channel, and who understands how paid digital fits into a wider integrated plan.
You’ll have experience managing or overseeing paid digital campaigns across channels such as Meta, Google (including search, display and PMax), Microsoft, TikTok and Spotify, and you’ll be confident setting up campaigns yourself in Google (including Ad Grants) and Meta Business Suite. You’ll use Google Analytics to inform reporting and optimisation, understand how performance metrics support decision making across the marketing funnel, and know your way around platform advertising policies.
Working across the organisation, you’ll bring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to challenge and guide our agency partners. You’ll also have strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience in the charity sector would be great, but it isn’t essential.
Most of all, you’ll share our passion and ambition to make a real difference for people affected by breast cancer.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
