Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the Global Programmes’ communications coordinator in implementing the developing contents and multi-media assets that showcase the work and the impact that the global programmes are making. In this role you’ll get to learn about our innovative programmatic work and you’ll have opportunities to showcase change stories, good practices, and interact with young women who through Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting are shaping the world they want to see.

About You:

This person will be assist in planning, writing, and managing website content and social media posts. This will be more focused towards multimedia assets (graphics, videos/reels, carousels, GIFs, infographics, social media stories, interactive content, banners, digital posters).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Global Programmes communications coordinator in the implementation of the communications work plan and activities.

· To develop and deliver a youth mentoring programme that is meaningful and positive.

· To work alongside the R-evolution bike team to develop and deliver a bike mechanics education programme.

A confident content designer, you’ll use data and insight to understand user journeys and develop content to best meet the needs of our audiences.

You’ll deliver day-to-day improvements to website content and journeys. You’ll support the delivery of our website strategy, working closely with Product, UX and Content colleagues. The School Coordinator will have a target to recruit schools to the programme and coordinate the planned distribution of resources and supporting materials. As part of our new 2025-2028 strategy we are partnering with ClearScore, the leading financial marketplace platform, to launch a new year-long study to prove the positive impact of financial education on financial wellbeing. ClearScore users in the study will be delivered three different types of financial education, across videos, workshops and other content, and then monitored against a control group for any improvements to their financial capability, their credit score, wider creditworthiness and ultimately their financial resilience, wellbeing and potentially access to credit. The effectiveness of the interventions will be robustly and independently assessed by an external evaluation partner, currently being recruited.

This study (and the resulting research outputs) has the potential to be transformative in the sector, and is kindly funded by the AVIVA Foundation, the charitable organisation which aims to help people deal with financial challenges. This project forms part of a growing suite of projects at The Money Charity aiming to improve the UK’s financial education ecosystem, by reaching more adults with new, innovative forms of financial education interventions at key ‘teachable moments’ throughout their lives.

About The Role

We are looking for a project manager to take the day-to-day lead of The Money Charity x ClearScore Financial Education project. As well as management of the overall project, the role involves delivering on some specific intervention workstreams allocated to The Money Charity, and managing the relationship with the external evaluation partner conducting the study. Additionally, the post holder will be responsible for a small portfolio of other related projects focussed on building adult Financial Wellbeing.

This role would be ideal for a hands-on and engaging individual with a strong track record in delivering high-profile educational or customer-facing projects. A good knowledge of issues relating to money management, access to credit and personal finance is also important. The individual will need an ability to navigate the retail financial services landscape in the UK, as well as a good understanding of the not-for-profit sector. This is an exciting, varied role to lead this transformative project from an early stage through to completion, and provides a unique opportunity to impact on the Financial Wellbeing of individuals.

The creation of this role has been triggered by the launch of the ClearScore project and is therefore being offered as a fixed-term contract aligned to the funding being received for its delivery. However there is some scope for the project (and therefore contract) to be extended or become permanent. The Money Charity would also be open to exploring filling this role on a 18-month secondment basis e.g. from an individual working at a financial services organisation.

About the Role

A core strand of the charity’s offering works to help adults build the skills, knowledge, confidence and behaviours to manage their money well. We do this by delivering Financial Wellbeing Workshops, Webinars, Specialist Programmes, Consultancy projects and through distribution of our Money Manual. The charity works with both community (charities/social enterprises) and commercial organisations to reach adults in their context of need.

Reporting to the Director of Workplace & Community Programmes and working as part of a small team, the successful candidate for this role will support the organisation and administration of our fully-funded Financial Wellbeing Workshops, our Specialist Programme for adults with Learning Difficulties, and other ad-hoc Community-oriented projects. Our Community Workshops and Programmes are delivered in partnership with organisations in a range of settings up and down the UK, with the participants being their beneficiaries or service users. The Workshops themselves are delivered by our training consultants who also undertake local outreach work to find new organisations and groups to partner with, supporting our central marketing efforts. This is a brand new role on the team to help us grow our reach as part of our new 2025-2028 strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraiser, someone who is always one step ahead. You are independent, able to work instinctively and have the ability to translate our story into inspiring content. Above all, you are naturally able to build rapport with others to establish relationships and grow income in your region.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivating and recruiting new and existing supporters and volunteers to participate in a range of third-party fundraising events
• Building and developing trusted relationships, in particular with our families to support fundraising, storytelling and volunteering
• Working with the National Community Fundraising Manager to build a strategy for your region, build relationships, and grow income
• Working effectively with teams across the wider Charity, playing a key role in House teams, as well as the Income Generation team
• Working with volunteers to participate in a range of third-party fundraising events or holding their own ‘in aid of’ fundraising events
• Working with the Marketing and Communications department to produce appropriate fundraising materials and ensuring that all public relations opportunities are fully maximised
• Representing Ronald McDonald House Charities UK at fundraising meetings, events, and presentations outside normal office hours (evenings and weekends), as required
• Accurate use of in-house database to record communications and bank income, ensuring financial and non-financial activity is recorded
• Ensuring that all fundraising conforms to industry best practice and legal requirements
• Undertaking any other duties of a compatible nature, as may be required from time to time by management

Knowledge and Expereince 

• Proven fundraising experience or experience working towards KPI’s
• Experience of working in a customer-facing role
• Experience managing relationships with a diverse range of people
• Experience of developing annual plans and budgets, producing reports on progress and against objectives and financial targets
• Knowledge of using a database to carry out day-to-day administrative duties
• Experience working independently and as part of a wider team

About #iwill 

Since 2013 the #iwill Movement, supported by over 1,000 organisations from across the UK, has aimed to make participation in social action - such as volunteering, fundraising, mentoring, and campaigning - the norm for young people aged 10 to 26.

#iWill has laid the foundations to transform the role and perception of children and young people within society. It has inspired more organisations to embed youth social action into their culture and practice; sparked new partnerships and networks; generated investment to create more youth social action opportunities; and increased collective understanding of how to deliver high-quality youth social action opportunities. 

The #iwill Movement is now entering a new phase of expanding, further developing and escalating activity to drive forward place-based change.

Job Purpose: 

We are entering an exciting phase for the #iwill Movement, with the #iwill Fund looking to invest in a first wave of Towns and Cities of youth social action. To support this, the Department of Culture Media and Sport are making a direct investment in the #will Movement to support the mobilization of Towns and Cities, and we now require three new Place Partnership Managers in the #iWill Movement to work alongside local stakeholders to support their mobilisation of their Town or City of social action.

This role will have a specific focus in identified towns/cities/places in England, working with young people and partners to create conditions for youth led place-based change, as part of the #iWill Movement’s Town and Cities of social action agenda.

The role will take the best practice from existing work in Ipswich, Manchester and Blackpool to create guiding principles for establishing local governance and partnerships that can support a Town or City of Youth Social action to be created.

The role will liaise with local stakeholders to support their funding bid to the #iwill Fund, ensuring young people are in the lead and sponsoring applications. The role will support and influence organisations in agreed Towns and Cities to sign the Power of Youth Charter and make strategic commitments to support young people through the #iwill Movement.

The role will also support local places to construct movement building and income generation plans to ensure ongoing investment from local stakeholders beyond the period of funding award. 

This role requires someone rooted in the practice of community based and youth led change, with experience in facilitation and the ability to manage complex partnerships and influence a variety of stakeholders, including through income generation activities.
