As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to Service Users in line with individual support plans to promote the development of life skills and overcome social inclusion by:
· Actively listening to service users, offering emotional support, and fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment.
· Supporting Service Users to;
- Plan and prepare meals / shopping.
- Participate in cleaning, cooking and laundry.
- Develop financial management skills.
- Maintain / improve their physical health.
- Build their confidence and self-esteem.
· Addressing social exclusion and the development of social skills by encouraging Service Users to develop social links outside their home, signposting and helping them to engage in relevant community-based services and activities.
· Playing an active role in the development and implementation of activities and opportunities that add value to the lives of NH&S residents.

Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Salary
£33,158 per annum
Hours
Average 40 hours a week on a five-week rota. Normal working pattern will be working across early and late shifts & working two weekends. Working hours and rotas are subject to change by the organisation as required, based on operational/service need, though we try not to do this frequently. Some flexibility in working hours is expected.
Pension
The employee will be enrolled into a pension scheme providing the post holder meets the criteria for eligibility. Minimum pension contributions will be paid by the employer for you if you are eligible.
Annual Leave
28 days, including bank holidays, rising by one day a year to a maximum of 33 days after each full year’s service. As the project works on a 24/7 basis, you will be required to work some bank holidays, including Christmas and New Yea

We are hiring a Mental Health Floating Support Coordinator to support our Luton Service which delivers support to individuals living within the community who have support needs pertaining to their mental health and wellbeing. The service works alongside statutory services, with the aim of moving people on to independent living within two years. - Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience is required
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, including in the criminal justice field, mental health, and/or substance misuse or a good understanding of the sector
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
What we would like, but not essential:
- Appropriate qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent
- Experience of providing housing support and a practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role
- Experience creating co-produced support plans and providing appropriate interventions for service user and liaising with other professionals

About the role:
As our Mental Health Crisis Worker, you will be part of the Crisis Service working with and supporting men and women. This involves working with and alongside organisations within the Bristol Mental Health Partnership. This is a hub and spoke service with a 24 hour hub (providing a full crisis service across the city). You will therefore be required to work on a rota system including regular evenings and weekend working and must be able to drive and have access to an appropriate vehicle. You will be based at Southmead Hospital where the North Crisis Team is located.
The role is focused on providing a range of interventions to assist with daily health, social care and wellbeing needs to reduce the crisis, build resilience and improve wellbeing. You will be employed by Missing Link and seconded into our Bristol Mental Health Partnership and will therefore be operationally managed by AWP.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Mental Health Crisis Worker:
§ Build trusting and collaborative relationship with the service user
§ Work closely with carers, families and children and other services directly involved with service users, carers if appropriate
§ Carry out role adhering to Mental Health Bristol Partnership’s policies, procedures, values, code of conduct and current legislation using a Recovery orientated, psychologically informed, equalities based approach
§ Co-produce, update, implement and review a crisis plan, relapse prevention and other self-management tools
§ Implement the recovery plan and inform any review, working jointly with the Assessment and Recovery Team Recovery Navigator/Care Co-ordinator, in partnership with service users in line with best practice.
§ Coordinate support, refer and liaise effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service user’s support in order to deliver the crisis support package
§ Enable delivery of the crisis and recovery plans and to enable service users to make informed decisions about their mental wellbeing, maximising their independence and providing advocacy role where appropriate
§ Provide specialist support to women using the service and advice and guidance to other team members regarding women’s mental health issues
§ Promote and facilitate service user involvement and inclusion within Mental Health Bristol and the community in line with Mental Health Bristol Partnership objectives
§ Manage caseload, documentation and time effectively, ensuring up to date, clear and accurate record keeping in line with MHB policies, making best use of supervision, training and staff development
§ Collaborate with other team members to maximise service performance, meet targets and Service Level Agreements and promote effective communication and teamwork
§ Maintain hope and optimism for the individual with high expectations for recovery. Use lived experience (if appropriate) to positively support the individual’s recovery

In delivering the role, you will work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our transitional accommodation service.
