Job description

Badger Trust is the leading authority on badgers in England and Wales.

We are dedicated to ensuring a better future for badgers through research, advocacy and supporting our network of local groups.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Research and Project Coordinator to join our small, friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver research-based projects that will have a real impact on badger conservation.

This position is based in Brighton, though we will consider hybrid working on request.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and daily management of research-driven projects

  • Collect, analyse and manage data to inform project outcomes

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver impactful results

  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support research and project work

About You

You have strong research and data management skills and some experience in project development and scoping (ideally within the conservation, environmental or charity sectors). Experience in securing project funding is an advantage. You are self-motivated, organised and keen to make a difference.

We believe that diverse teams are stronger. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences and identities.

Benefits

  • 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays

  • 2 paid wellness days

  • 3% employer pension contribution (5% employee)

  • Cash health plan, death in service benefit and season ticket or cycle purchase loan

How to Apply
