About the role

We are seeking an experienced CEO to lead us into the next phase of growth, driving our mission forward with vision and passion. Working with the Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team, we're looking for someone to provide strategic leadership, ensure financial sustainability and to oversee the charity's operations whilst preparing us for our next phase of development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for the charity
• Support the charity's fundraising strategy, securing funding through grants, donations, and partnerships
• Act as the public face of the charity, advocating for its cause and engaging with stakeholders
• Foster partnerships with other charities, businesses, and community organisations
• Have overall responsibility for the financial management of the charity
• Assist the board with its decision making and strategic direction for the charity's long-term sustainability

You'll be an inspirational and tenacious leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on implementation. Skills and Experience:

• Experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams at CEO or similar level
• Strategic thinker and problem solver
• Delivery and execution of strategic plans
• Experience of working effectively with a Board of Trustees
• Proven experience in budget setting and financial management, reporting to funders and Trustees
• Understanding of Charity law and regulations, governance requirements, and reporting standards

We are praying for a talented Director of Fundraising and Supporter Partnerships to join our Leadership Team. You will be inheriting a skilled and diverse team raising income from individuals, legacies, trusts and foundations, corporates and major donors with the support from a new CRM system, to fulfil your responsibilities.

• Salary: £73,000 depending on experience + 13.8% employer contribution to pension, 30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and 3 days ex-gracia during Christmas and New year + other benefits.
• Location: London City Mission will carefully consider flexible working patterns where possible, though at least 2 days a week presence at Nasmith House, 175 Tower Bridge Road will be necessary.

• Level 3 qualification in Management (or equivalent); Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care desirable.

The Debt Advice Team at Toynbee Hall provides crucial support to individuals and families struggling with financial burdens. Funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), this team delivers expert guidance and practical solutions to help clients manage and reduce their debt. The team's advisors are trained to navigate complex financial situations, offering tailored advice that empowers clients to regain control of their finances. Their work is vital in fostering financial resilience within the community, ensuring that individuals have the tools they need to achieve long-term financial stability.

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

Contribute to Team

• Work to an agreed work-plan meeting targets and milestones
• Prioritise and manage your own workload.
• Be an active member of the team, identifying opportunities for your development. Work in collaboration with our funder, and with colleagues from across their other funded organisations, contributing to key projects and meetings.

PSPA is the only UK charity providing support and information to people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). These rapidly progressing neurological conditions are caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. While there is no cure, and no treatment, we aim to give everyone affected with PSP and CBD the information and support they need to live the best possible life.

Raising awareness among health and social care professionals since 1994, we also fund research into diagnosis and treatments, relying almost entirely on voluntary donations.

Purpose of the Job: 

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for leading and managing all fundraising activities to generate income for the Sanctuary. The role involves developing corporate partnerships, organising events, and overseeing digital fundraising efforts. The post-holder will also be responsible for delivering effective, measurable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for business supporters, managing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring financial targets are met. 

This role is key to increasing corporate and community engagement, growing fundraising channels, and enhancing the Sanctuary’s digital presence to maximise income generation. The Head of Fundraising will work closely with internal teams to coordinate activities, monitor performance, and identify new opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships 

· Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate donors, securing new partnerships while managing existing relationships and ensure that these relationships are properly managed through regular contact and progress reports. 

· Build strong relationships with business supporters to secure both general and restricted funds. 

· Develop and deliver corporate volunteering days, team-building activities, and fundraising opportunities. 

· Oversee the logistics, including venue bookings for corporate and external events, increasing revenue through targeted business engagement. 

· Review contracts, letters of agreement and other correspondence for current corporate partners. 

Fundraising Strategy & Income Generation 

· Work closely with the senior management and the Board to develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy.

Digital Fundraising & Social Media

· Develop compelling digital content to engage supporters and attract new donors. 

· Manage social media fundraising activities across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok). 

· Track, analyse, and report on digital fundraising performance, adjusting strategies as needed. 

Monitoring & Reporting 

·Regularly review fundraising performance, preparing reports for senior management and Board. 

· Maintain accurate donor and corporate records, ensuring data is up to date and GDPR compliant. 

General Duties 

· Meet regularly with Trustee to update them on proposals and to provide regular updates on progress. 

· Assist with website content, newsletters, and marketing materials. 

· Always ensure a positive representation of the Sanctuary, especially when engaging with the public and corporate partners.

Harris Hill has a superb opportunity for an experience IG and Legacy Manager to join a charity based in Swindon.

This role can be 30-37.5 hours per week, hybrid or remote based, paying £36765 - £40534 pro rota. This also has the potential to extend as the current post holder is acting up and this is a backfill.

The Individual Giving & Legacy Manager is responsible for delivering strategies across individual giving and legacy marketing, to grow sustainable income. This role involves managing the end-to-end process required to deliver a programme of cash appeals, raffle campaigns, lottery, committed giving acquisition and retention, legacy marketing, and in-memory giving. The IG & Legacy manager, working closely with the Head of IG, Legacy and Supporter Experience, will also be responsible for developing growth strategies for individual products within the portfolio, to achieve the hospice's planned income targets and enhance donor relationships.

The role:

As one of two Grassroots Development Leads in the England Team in this role you’ll be responsible for supporting our grassroots grow and develop, ensuring the network is able to campaign effectively.  

You’ll create training and deliver it to support existing activists and local groups; you'll create and deliver strategies that build and strengthen the movement across England; and you’ll lead nation wide project work including network events.

Key Skills and Attributes:

We are looking for strong grassroots activists who are passionate about mobilising and supporting our groups to design, develop and run campaigns that will make a real difference.

You’ll have a solid understanding of how people-powered movements are built and grown, as well as in-depth knowledge of a variety of activism approaches, including innovative online & in person methods. You’ll be a confident facilitator with experience in developing training and coaching programmes for activists.  

You’ll also be a passionate advocate for bottom-up, people-powered movements, ensuring the voices of grassroots activists are at the centre of Friends of the Earth.

The Need

Our mission is to reduce the reliance on institutional care by supporting proven alternatives and advocating for systemic change.

What You’ll Do

 Advocacy & Policy Influence

• Lead the delivery of advocacy strategies to raise awareness about the benefits of family-based care and the harms of institutions, including orphanages
• Manage MJF Global’s advocacy partnerships, supporting joint campaigns and influencing initiatives
• Oversee project-based public affairs and PR efforts, coordinating with agencies, consultants and media stakeholders where needed
• Represent MJF Global in key coalitions, working groups, and sector events as required
• Strategic communications

Implement the communications strategy that aligns with our organisational goals

• Manage our editorial calendar across digital and offline channels, highlighting awareness days, partner updates and sector milestones
• Write and curate content for social media, newsletters, campaigns, and reports
• Oversee relationships with our design and web partners, ensuring consistency and quality

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

• Support MJF’s global marketing working group by co-coordinating with marketing leads across Key Assets
• Strengthen relationships with internal teams and external collaborators, ensuring alignment on messaging and values
• Provide guidance to global partners, as requested/required, developing and implementing their own communications plans

Operational Comms & Tools

• Manage CRM platforms (e.g., MailChimp), website updates (WordPress), and file sharing (SharePoint and Google Drive)

• Lead quarterly reporting on communications and advocacy performance

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is not only an excellent communicator but also a values-led leader, someone who can work with sensitivity across contexts and cultures, while keeping an eye on strategy and detail.

Essential

• An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or your country equivalent certificate (can be obtained upon appointment)
• Experience leading and implementing communications and/or advocacy strategies in the charity, NGO, or development sectors
• Strong understanding of care reform, family strengthening, or children’s rights issues
• Ability to manage relationships and partnerships, particularly in advocacy, policy or public affairs work
• Excellent communication skills across formats including written, verbal and visual. Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

Press

• Field enquiries from stakeholders including journalists and police forces
• Write press releases and media statements and share these when appropriate via digital & social
• Support the team with the rewards process and promotion
• Draft assets for press
• Be part of the on-call rota system currently 1 week in 7 (training and support provided)
• Effectively manage Vuelio to manage the daily tagging, produce media reports demonstrating PR coverage for all campaigns in a timely way.

Digital

• Develop and update content for website news pages and social media platforms
• Spot trends and advise the team regarding innovative new ideas for PR & Media to share with the team

PR and Publications

• Produce, edit and distribute updates and materials for external and internal audiences, dealing sensitively with those whose personal experiences might be featured
• Provide communications support for regional managers along with other internal staff and teams in addition to police and business development campaigns
• Manage external freelancers and agencies as needed to agreed deadlines and budgets
• To lead on editing, co-ordinating and organising the editorial, design and production of corporate publications
