This is a hands-on, people-focused role, working alongside the Foodbank Manager to coordinate day-to-day service delivery. You’ll support and organise our volunteers, oversee the smooth running of our warehouse and deliveries, and help ensure our systems, standards and processes are followed well.

• Experience working in advice services, welfare benefits, financial wellbeing, or health-inequalities programmes.
• Experience supporting training, induction, or shared learning activities for partners or colleagues.
• Familiarity with NHS structures, commissioning environments, or VCSE–health partnerships.
• Experience working on Macmillan-funded or similarly funded programmes.
• Understanding of safeguarding and data protection in partnership delivery contexts.

Salary: £17.08 per hour – across 39 weeks per year (£3,330.60 per annum – actual)
Holiday entitlement: 25 days pro rata (paid, not taken as leave)
Reporting to: Delivery Manager
Hours: 5 hours per week (variable)

As a GFS Group Coordinator, you will play a hands-on role in leading weekly group sessions for girls and young women. You will plan and deliver activities, build positive and trusting relationships, and create a space where girls feel safe, welcome and able to be themselves.

You will also coordinate volunteers who support session delivery, communicate with parents and carers, build local relationships and ensure the group runs safely and smoothly in line with GFS policies.
This role is suitable for people early in their youth work career, as well as those with more experience who enjoy direct delivery and relationship-based practice.
