As part of this work, our Funding & Influencing Team engages a wide range of people in the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Funding Relationship Manager is integral to this. 
We are looking for a Funding and Relationship Manager, who will be responsible for awarding, distributing, and evaluating the impact of our funding to Gloucestershire based organisations. The team provide supportive and reciprocal learning and evaluation relationships with organisations enabling us to constantly improve our grant-making processes and social change mechanisms.

We want to diversify our team to better reflect the work and communities we support – this means we would particularly welcome applications from people who:

•  have lived experience of disability and/or mental health challenges. 
 

Contract terms:
•  12 months fixed contract.

Summary of key duties:
•    Managing and processing grants to organisations and groups 
•  Process Funded Partner and Themed Funding grants to organisations and groups, ensuring that information is stored and monitored routinely, and that grant payments and annual instalments are authorised and paid in a timely manner. 
•  Respond to enquiries from prospective grant applicants, referrers, organisations, and other connected parties, showing consideration and patience for callers with communication or learning challenges. 
•  Support prospective applicant organisations and groups to apply to Barnwood Trust, providing appropriate support and advice to applicants and aligning with the Trust’s values and funding principles. 
•  Manage a portfolio of organisational grants, providing support where needed, and maintain a supportive monitoring, evaluation, and learning relationship over the life of a grant.  

Evaluation, learning and relationship management. 
•  Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of funded organisations, ensuring data and key learning is submitted to Barnwood on time and supporting organisations to collect and collate this. 
•  Support funded organisations to measure the impact of their work in accessible and inclusive ways, drawing on your own expertise and that of the wider Funding Team. 
•  Through monitoring, evaluation, and relationships with your portfolio, identify learning themes and capacity gaps in organisations in the county. 
•  Support the Senior Funding Relationships Manager and the Funding Policy and Evaluation Manager to publish impact data and learning from organisation and group funding on Barnwood’s website and social media channels. 

Summary of Essential Knowledge and Experience  
•  Proven experience of building and managing ongoing relationships with funded organisations.  
•  Knowledge of the VCS sector, and an understanding of the challenges faced by delivery organisations. 
•  Ability to work with and analyse data.

World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.

This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.

Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.

It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.

Essential skills and experience - experience of managing medium sized global events and conferences on an international scale, working with global stakeholders. Excellent administration and organisational skills, right to work in the UK and able to travel internationally on a regular basis. 

We are looking for a new member to join the Enterprise Directorate in this fixed term role for 12 months. If you are immediately available that will be advantageous.

As their Programme Administrator, you will provide a high level of administrative support to the faculty and students, and to ensure the smooth running of courses and programmes in the department. Including the following areas:

We have successfully recruited, trained and placed six cohorts of over 750 high potential graduates into prisons across England and Wales. The Role

This role sits within the Unlocked Programme Team, which holds responsibility for designing and running training for our new cohorts as well as supporting them across their two years, to enable them to have the most impact possible.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to support our Programme Team with a wide variety of tasks. The successful candidate will gain an insight into: delivery, curriculum, our work with our Ambassador community as well as the specific training required to become a prison officer.

About Fobzu

Fobzu was established in 1978 and is dedicated to achieving international support for Palestinian universities, educators and students in their work to defend, build and grow a flourishing and self-determined higher education system, which is essential to the realisation of freedom and progress for the Palestinian people. 

Position Overview

The Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Fobzu's advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advocacy and Awareness Programme

• Assist in organising webinars and in-person events.

• Undertake research for regular briefings and publications. 

• Help in the delivery of workshops to educate stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities within Palestinian higher education.

• Contribute to work amplifying the voices of Palestinian students and educators through various channels, including Fobzu’s newsletter, social media, events, and written publications.

2. Building UK-Palestine Higher Education Links Programme

• Assist in the development and expansion of Fobzu’s work fostering academic collaboration and exchange between UK and Palestinian higher education institutions.

• Support the organisation of Fobzu’s annual conference dedicated to promoting partnerships with Palestinian universities, building on the success of the previous year’s conference.

Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust & NHSE, this work will transform the experiences of female veterans, and address barriers to access in areas including health and wellbeing, transition and employment, care, finance and pensions, housing, terms of service, historic hurt and loneliness. Collaborating across government, statutory, charity, and commercial organisations, the project will innovate within the sector, design sustainable provisions and translate research into action.

Reporting to the Project Lead for the Female Veterans Transformation Programme, you will be responsible for delivering the communication and engagement strategy during the course of the programme. This includes engagement and consultation with key stakeholders including Office of Veteran Affairs, MoD, NHS England, devolved nations health services, Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force (including Associations and charities), Veterans Commissioners, other veteran-facing organisations aligned through the Cobseo Female Veterans Cluster Group and female veterans themselves.

Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and managed by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), the Global Health Workforce Programme (GHWP) aims to develop the health workforce (HWF) in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and Somaliland supporting them to build stronger, more resilient health systems for post-pandemic recovery and to make progress towards UHC.

Grants for UK-LMIC and cross-LMIC health partnerships will be awarded to respond to national HWF priorities identified through a scoping assessment carried out by THET with DHSC, FCDO, national Governments and stakeholders (such as local World Health Organisation offices). These grants will run until December 2025.   

With a strong focus on building local ownership and sustainability, these partnerships will contribute to the following programmatic outcomes:

1. Partnerships contributing towards improved health workforce leadership capacity aligned with health workforce strategies, that will support reduction in gender inequalities.

2. Partnerships aligning with and contributing towards retention and wellbeing strategies.

3. Improved number and quality of training opportunities for health workers.

4. Co-developed and documented learning on health workforce interventions shared with key national and international stakeholders.

THET will award 28-36 strategic grants of £100,000 – £350,000 that feed into the country scoping priorities and outputs outlined above. The grants will broadly be split across the six countries; however, the exact split is dependent on the number and quality of applications received and broader priorities.   

20-28 smaller grants of up to £50,000 will also be available for projects that tackle specific areas such as innovation, rural health facilities, diaspora engagement, leadership opportunities for women and protected groups, and the climate crisis.   

Grants will be available to UK-LMIC health partnerships and LMIC-LMIC health partnerships. There are no institutional eligibility criteria as long as ODA rules are followed, so grants can be awarded to healthcare providers, royal colleges, universities, professional associations, NGOs, alliances, diaspora networks etc, but not to Ministry of Health departments.

This document serves as a Terms of Reference for the type of work the THET Administrative Support should expect to carry out as part of this.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee consultants’ invoicing and payments process and staff expense claims

· Prompt consultants to send invoices at the end of the month

· Review receipts and time claimed against contract and allowable expenses, file documents and send to Programme Manager for approval

· Monitor consultants’ time and expenses in trackers

· Review expense claims from THET staff related to GHWP, file documents and send to Programme Manager for approval

· Follow up with Finance team regarding payments

2. Oversee the National Oversight Mechanism invoicing and payments process

· Prompt in-country Admin Assistants to send invoices to NOM upon completion of activities, and follow up if necessary

· Admin Assistants will check receipts and time claimed against honoraria agreements and allowable expenses and send to Programme Manager for approval, cc’ing Admin Support

· Monitor payments in tracker

· Follow up with Finance team regarding payments

3. Provide support to recruitment/contracting process

· Support with developing/adapting recruitment documents (application log, creating folders in Sharepoint)

· Support with drafting contracts based on information provided by Programme Manager/Coordinator

4. Provide support to reporting process

· Support with development of templates and updating basic information in the report

· Proofread and format reports before finalisation and submission by the Programme Manager

5. Support the Programmes Manager and Programmes Coordinator

· Provide ad hoc administrative and logistical support to the team as required

· Support with filing documents in Sharepoint

· Support with drafting briefings

· Support with setting up meetings and comprehensive note-taking

We are looking for a new member of the digital communications team to lead on managing the Academy’s social media channels and setting the standard for digital multimedia content across the Academy for up to 10 months.

The role

This is a key role in the digital communications team, with oversight of the Academy’s externally facing social media channels. As you further develop these channels and lead on the delivery of content through them, you will play an important part in positioning the Academy as a thought leader and engaging new and existing audiences with our work.

You will co-ordinate with colleagues across the directorate to ensure our social channels are used effectively. You will also provide expertise and guidance to colleagues, own systems and workflows, own and develop content templates, and ensure quality control for our social content. You will run social media campaigns and activity, writing excellent copy, creating high quality visuals and evaluating success.

As you will lead on the production of digital content for the Academy, you will continue to develop guidelines and documentation for colleagues and suppliers, who you will work with as needed. You’ll enjoy creating graphics and some video content too. You’ll report on analytics regularly for departmental performance metrics, and you’ll use insights and evaluations to continuously optimise outputs and performance.

Location

Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

We are recruiting for a temporary Grant Programme Officer for a social welfare charity. You will support the development, delivery and management of integrated grant programmes and partnerships.

Hybrid working minimum 2 days in the London Office

The Role
Support the delivery of grant programmes for individuals experiencing financial insecurity, ensuring dignity, safety and equity across our programmes.
Assist grant recipients and applicants to access tools and information to support income maximisation.
Build positive, effective, and impactful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners in line with the values.
Share responsibility for the integration and continued best practice in data protection, safeguarding, EDIB and co-production across our programmes and partnerships.
Engage in projects, activities and ways of working that support the development and delivery of integrated programmes and help to shift power to people and communities experiencing financial insecurity.

The Candidate
Case management experience.
An understanding of the impact of financial insecurity on people living in the UK and how this can vary as a result of systemic, institutional and societal discrimination.
Knowledge of the key principles of good project and programme management.
An understanding of data protection and GDPR.
Demonstrable understanding and commitment to promote and embed Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.
Minimum of basic safeguardingknowledge.
Desirable
Knowledge of the UK grant-making sector.
An understanding of coproduction and approaches that facilitate sharing power with people and communities who have lived experience.

King’s Trust International (KTI) are looking for an experienced education advisor to lead on the development of and implementation of KTI’s best practice education approaches

Since our inception in 2015, we’ve supported over 20,000 young people to learn, work and thrive through our programmes. Our programmes and interventions are now present in 13 countries, across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Europe.

The successful candidate will be an expert in educational pedagogy with deep experience in human-centered design, with a desire to get stuck in and work with our regional teams to generate ideas and solutions to improve the educational experience for young people and teachers in the countries that we work in.

You will be an organised project manager and strategic thinker, able to lead colleagues in service design projects, and work logically with fundraising teams to develop robust education proposals.

You will have experience of designing and operationalising education strategies at organisational and service levels.

You will work within a creative and strategic team with plenty of opportunity to learn and contribute to activity across the organisation. 

We have eight exciting and fulfilling new roles in the North West and South Yorkshire Sickle Cell Children and Young Persons’ Peer Mentoring team

The Peer Mentoring programme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of young people (aged 10-24) with Sickle Cell Disorder (SCD) across North-West England (Liverpool, Manchester) and South Yorkshire (Sheffield).

Accountable to:North-West and South Yorkshire Programme Manager

Manages: Liverpool and Manchester: 2 Mentors, Sheffield: 1 Mentor

Salary:£15.00 per hour (sessional basis)

Length of contract:Fixed term, 12 months (subject to the outcome of negotiations with funders).

Role Purpose

The Lead Mentor will be managing the mentor team as well as working in partnership with the local NHS local patient/family Support Groups in their region. They will deliver mentoring sessions to young people on a sessional basis.

Mentors – 5 roles

Positions Available:

Liverpool: 2 Mentors

Manchester: 2 Mentors

Sheffield: 1 Mentor

Base:Flexible home working, and other locations to meet the needs of the young person.

Accountable to:Local Lead Mentor

Manages:N/A

Salary:£12.35 per hour (sessional basis)

Length of contract:Fixed term, 12 months (post will be continued subject to the outcome of negotiations with funders).

Role Purpose

Mentors will deliver mentoring sessions on a seasonal basis to young people. They will work with the Lead Mentor as well as in partnership with the local NHS and local patient/family support group.
