Our vision is to end preventable deaths from trauma in the capital. To deliver this vision the Fundraising and Marketing team needs to deliver ambitious income targets – we have £15million in annual operating costs per year, and by September 2024 we need to raise an additional £15 million to replace the helicopter fleet.

It’s an exciting time at the Charity – we have over 125,000 supporters who support our work through regular giving and lottery, and we actively recruit around 40,000 new Lottery players and Regular Givers each year.

As Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer you’ll be delivering inspiring training presentations to our agency face to face fundraisers. You’ll also be working with main agency contacts to help them deliver their own training sessions.

You’ll be central in creating and developing our training materials, involving networking with our operational team of world class doctors and paramedics as well as our pilots and fire crew.

You’ll also be ensuring fundraising quality by carrying out accreditations and observations and (door) shadowing of our agency partners.
You’ll support our Direct Marketing Manager to facilitate the smooth running of our Face to Face campaigns, ensuring donor recruitment targets are met and to a high standard.

You’ll support the Direct Marketing Manager in cultivating our relationships with our external agency partners (face to face, telephone and other suppliers as necessary) as well as day-to-day management and monitoring of third-party fundraisers.

• Generating press releases to drive coverage and awareness and raise the profile of campaigns.

Social media

• Leading on building our impact and engagement on social media with our audiences, in line with our objectives, including supporting engagement campaigns and fundraising. 
• Ensuring that we are using the best tools and techniques by staying up-to-date with trends.
• Monitoring social media, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to enquiries. 
• Using analytics to constantly optimise our social media impact. 

Email

• Developing content for email marketing, including for fundraising and events campaigns.
• Optimising email by A/B testing content to maximise performance through design and content improvements and creating triggered email sequences to build our message. 
• Using audience segmentation and personalisation to support campaigns.
• Using analytics to identify ways to constantly optimise our email impact. 

Website content plus content SEO

• Overseeing content development for the website and checking existing content so our website is kept up-to-date, engaging, and on brand.
• Ensuring web content is optimised for SEO and usability, training staff on best practice.
• Leading team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool. 
• Using analytics to identify potential content changes.

Engagement

• Acting as the digital community lead for engagement of our online communities on social media and the Live Well Hub, including guiding team members to follow best practice.  
• Supporting online events and driving positive engagement opportunities.
• Responding proactively and appropriately to online messages and comments.
• Engaging and participating in online community groups and discussions beyond our channels.

Brand communication

• Ensuring all activity aligns with brand priorities.
• Championing on-brand messaging. Acting as a trusted expert on brand tone of voice. 
• Ensuring all media and communications guidelines/policies are followed and kept updated. 
• Sharing best practice with the wider organisation and continuing professional development. 

Creative skills

• Generating and developing creative and innovative ideas with a good eye for brand, design, film and photography.
• Creating engaging collateral through software such as Canva, Photoshop or Indesign.
• Editing small amounts of audio or video (desirable).

Essential skills:

• High energy, with the ability to work at a fast pace, with a proactive, creative and flexible approach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and autonomously from home while working collaboratively and building relationships as part of a tight-knit team.

We’re looking for a Together Through Homelessness Coordinator to support in the smooth running of our schemes, which ensure dog owners experiencing any form of homelessness access the vet care their dog needs.

About this role:
As Together Through Homelessness Coordinator, you’ll:

• deal with enquiries from a variety of key stakeholders, to contribute to the successful day-to-day delivery of our vet scheme,
• support dog owners who are experiencing homelessness to register their dogs on the scheme, and signpost them to other support services sensitively and tactfully,
• carry out key processes to ensure the efficient running of our schemes, from checking microchip details to discussing complex cases with our Vet team,
• ensure administration processes are completed efficiently, keeping accurate records at all times.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations or personal crisis, including having challenging conversations. You'll also need excellent interpersonal skills, combined with experience in customer service to ensure all individuals accessing our services have a positive experience, and be empathetic, compassionate, and resilient. This is particularly important due to the emotionally demanding nature of the work the team does, understanding the importance of building trust with those experiencing homelessness is essential.

About this team:
The Outreach team run several projects supporting pet owners experiencing homelessness or in housing crisis across the UK. This includes Freedom, a specialist dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, and our Pets and Housing projects. Our Pets and Housing projects consist of our Together Through Homelessness vet scheme and the endorsement scheme, Pet-Friendly Housing pilot (Scotland) and the pet friendly housing website, and pet foodbank pilots.

Working arrangements

Bereavement is cited in the top 10 reasons that contribute to homelessness; therefore, we are here to help support both clients and staff to process loss in all its complicated forms. In the role of Bereavement Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Providing 1:1 emotional support sessions and counselling to clients who have experienced bereavement.
• Support staff teams who have experienced a client death, by facilitating team emotional support sessions.
• Delivering bereavement training and providing advice and guidance to internal teams and external organisations.  

In this role, you will be required to travel to different St Mungo’s services. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work from home and/or from offices based in Hackney and Clapham.

About you

We are looking for someone who holds relevant qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy and is a registered member of a professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS or equivalent).

• You will have a good understanding the complex needs of people experiencing homelessness and working knowledge of bereavement and organisations and agencies working with bereavement, loss and grief.
• You will be an empathetic individual, passionate about working with vulnerable people who are in personal distress.
• You will have the ability to work flexibly, able to work well on your own, know when to seek support and be willing to travel to a range of different services.

The PR team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across press release and article writing, selling in pitches and campaign planning. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.

You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA to garner information and source case studies for each of the PR needs across regions and services.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving Manager to join the Fundraising team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, for 12 months. This role is critical for the success of our income generation activities and acquisition of new supporters.

We are looking for a target driven team player who will skilfully and tactfully manage a variety of stakeholder relationships, including our face-to-face agency partners and volunteers. This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to build on successful growth of existing supporter acquisition initiatives. 

About the team 

This role sits within the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, you will also work collaboratively with the Individual Giving Manager – Donor Development, Individual Giving Officer, Supporter Care Co-ordinator, and the Events team. You will also work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including our Branch Network and Regional Hubs to connect with new supporters across the UK and maximise opportunities.

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of:

• Experience of developing and running successful individual giving programmes to recruit new donors. 
• Experience of managing external relationships at all levels, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation on costs and contracts. 
• Experience of managing face-to-face fundraising programme. 
• Experience of lottery fundraising. 
• Experience of working with a supporter database.
• Numerical skills and ability to use Excel and/or PowerBI for tracking, reporting and analysis.

The Role (30hrs per week)

· Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement consistent processes and ensure appropriate training and development for the Support Team.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the Support Team at Mummy’s Star. More specifically you will be responsible for:

Support Team Management (50%)

• Provide quality support, leadership, development and line management
• Oversee the delivery of individual, tailored support for families

· Regular review and assessment of caseload including co-ordinating weekly caseload meetings and management of new grant application flow to Trustees.

· Work with the support team to regularly monitor, evaluate and report on the support provided by Mummy’s Star.

· Act as Lead Professional in complex cases if required.

· Working with the CEO and Operations Manager to ensure the wider team has appropriate resources and support around wellbeing

· Complying with the charity’s administration, monitoring and financial systems

· Working in close partnership with health care professionals, charities, and other key stakeholders

· Work with the Operations Manager to develop new engagement tools for families to improve accessibility.

· Assist the team to co-ordinate the Ask the Expert events and other resources

· Contribute to, and support the development of, the charity locally, regionally, and nationally

Information and Support Casework Delivery (50%)

· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)

· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.

· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals. 

· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.

Other Duties and information about the role

· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as required to support the charity and beneficiaries.

· Some evening and weekend work may be required but time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given for this.

· A DBS check will be required for this role.

As our Director of Service Transformation, you will lead the exciting next phase of transforming our charity’s services to reach more disabled children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for sourcing and delivering contracts and partnerships essential for the charity’s sustainability by advancing our digital outreach and nurturing new partnerships and securing sustainable funds for innovative models of support. 

What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:

• Lead and execute services strategies and plans that extend and transform the impact and financial sustainability of the charity’s services and support for disabled children, young people and their families. 
• Lead the design, development and sales of innovative new service models and the scaling of existing services.
• Work closely with the other executive directors and leadership team to achieve the generation of an annual financial surplus to reinvest in Kids. 
• Ensure the quality and safe delivery of all Kids’ services. 
• Ensure effective budget management underpins service development and delivery.  Ensure contracts and tenders are commercially negotiated and regularly monitored. Work with colleagues to identify and achieve necessary margins on contracts and projects for financial sustainability. 
• Inspire and lead a high performing services team; support colleagues to test, learn and adapt as the charity evolves and transforms its digital and in-person support offer.
• Be an inspiring, visible and collegiate leader and team player who works across team boundaries to help drive organisational change and nurture colleagues’ ability to perform at their best. 
• Model and lead effective communications with all colleagues that bring to life the charity’s values and behaviours. Support colleagues to ensure Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and practice are evidenced in service design and delivery. 
• Act as an ambassador for Kids on key platforms, carrying out media work as required; promote the charity’s products, services and work; and draw from services expertise to influence public policy and legislation relevant to disabled children and their families.

Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF) is a charity that builds thriving communities through effective philanthropy, matching investment to the needs of small charitable groups. We fund around 200 grassroots organisations each year, giving around £2m annually to tackle priority issues. The role

The Financial Accountant will report to the CEO and be part of our small management team. They will oversee our finances as we seek to scale up our grant-making while maintaining our high-quality assurance processes. They will also be responsible for providing scrutiny and a strategic eye to the management of our endowment. A small but important element of the role will be oversight of OCF’s cybersecurity. The successful candidate will combine a rigorous eye for technical detail with long-term thinking and a passion for our mission.

Accountable to: CEO

Key relationships: Treasurer, Chair of Finance Committee, Chair of Trustees, staff team and trustees and OCF fundholders.

Salary: £55,000 (full time equivalent) subject to negotiation for the right candidate.

Hours: 0.6 FTE (21 hours a week, which can be spread flexibly across the week)

Responsibilities

· Accountable for producing the Annual Report and Financial Statements in accordance with the Charity SORP, and being primary contact for the auditors.

· Preparation of annual budget and forecast, quarterly financial reports and monthly management accounts and updated forecasts.

· Maintain the detailed records of the endowment and restricted funds on a monthly basis. Oversee accurate statements for fundholders and provide ad hoc reports and analysis as required.

· Responsible for maintaining strong financial systems to provide accurate financial records and control systems for OCF, working closely with the Development and Grants teams to ensure complete alignment between internal systems (eg SAGE and Salesforce).

· Responsible for ensuring the Finance Committee is effectively supported, including: agenda and minutes, the production of timely reports, following up on actions and ensuring compliance with Charity Commission, HMRC Gift Aid and other reporting requirements.

· Liaise with OCF’s Investment Fund Managers (currently CCLA and Brompton Asset Management) and work with the Finance Committee to ensure performance is maximised.

· Monitor cash balances and ensure OCF is getting value for money on its cash.

· Management and development of a Finance Officer

· Oversight of effective delivery of all financial transactions, bank accounts, cash flow, bank reconciliations and staff payroll; includes oversight of checking the accounts for potential grant recipients.

· Bring to the early attention of the CEO and Chair of Finance Committee any matters of concern and risk in relation to the finances of OCF, and provide financial advice on mitigating actions.

· Maintain cybersecurity and insurance to meet operational requirements, and provide oversight to ensure OCF contracts are value for money.

Key competencies

· ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified and membership of one of the major UK accountancy bodies

· Experience of charity accounting and knowledge of best practice

· A proven track record of financial management in a an organisation with significant turnover understanding of restricted spend-down funds and endowments

· Experience in accounting software – preferably SAGE – with good computer literacy, including MS Excel and ideally CRM systems such as Salesforce

· Ability to think strategically in financial matters and identify areas of risk and opportunity, and to implement improvements working with colleagues.

· Good communication skills, particularly with the ability to explain financial data to a generalist audience of senior decision-makers.

· Commitment to the mission and values of the Oxfordshire Community Foundation

· Commitment to developing staff, preferably with line management experience.

· Willingness to undertake occasional planned evening duties, such as quarterly Finance Committee and Board meetings.
