Job description
Advert
Location: Flexible/Remote within the UK with regional travelContract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £35,100 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
Please note this role is not a care role and not one that typically works directly with children or young people.
Are you passionate about driving community-led change for children and young people? Do you thrive on building relationships and inspiring action? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
At The Children's Society, we're on a bold mission to reverse the damaging decline in children's well-being by 2030. Our Community Mobilisation Team is central to this ambition - connecting people, communities, and organisations with our cause and empowering them to take action.
As a Community Outreach Manager, you'll play a key role in growing our movement. You'll lead on attracting new supporters, cultivating meaningful relationships, and securing income-generating partnerships with individuals, community groups, and regional businesses. You'll be responsible for managing a robust pipeline, delivering against fundraising targets, and supporting volunteer-led events and campaigns.
What are we looking for? We're looking for someone with:
-Proven experience in fundraising, engagement, sales, or supporter care.
-Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and persuasive pitching.
-Confidence in making the ask, handling feedback, and discussing legacy giving.
-A strategic approach to supporter cultivation and relationship building.
-A passion for storytelling and community empowerment.
-The ability to work collaboratively and manage performance to KPIs.
We're committed to diversity and inclusion and operate an anonymised recruitment process to ensure fairness and equity for all applicants.
