Permanent with Funding

21 hours per week

£29,394.04 per annum / 17,636.42 pro rata (plus allowances)

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

We're looking to recruit a Youth Voice & Participation Worker with a range of youth work, therapeutic, and trauma informed skills to coordinate and deliver participation and group work sessions to young people both at the new wellbeing hub, and through additional delivery sites in the community.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Experience of facilitating participation activities with young people - on a one to one basis and in group work setting

-Experience of supporting young people who are dealing with complex and sensitive needs and vulnerabilities and supporting them with advice, guidance and advocacy

-Excellent understanding of the emotional health and wellbeing needs of children and young people in the local community, informed by current research and evidence bases.

-To work flexibly across the physical hub and pop-up delivery sites with regular evening and weekend work to meet young people's needs.
