We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team based in Wales as Community Fundraising Hub Manager, this is part of a job share role covering our North West, Northern Ireland and North Wales hub, the role will have the responsibility for the Wales and part of the North West area of the hub. You will join us working 21 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £24,817 (pro rata of £41,363) annum plus excellent benefits.

The Community Fundraising Hub Manager is an exciting role for an experienced community fundraiser who wants to make a positive impact and drive income generation. This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT+ children and young people who have experienced sexual violence. Your work will enable LGBT+ young people to feel supported, heard, and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.

You will work directly with LGBT+ children and young people, offering them a safe space to talk and think through their options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of sexual violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety, and access to other services to enable young survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.

You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT+ people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT+ young survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT+ young people facing abuse and violence.

Job description

This position is full-time, permanent, and based in the ADI office in London. Some international travel for several days at a time will be required. Remote or international applicants may be considered for this role depending on circumstances.

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Assistant to join our fabulous Fundraising Team and to act as a first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.

As an integral member of the Fundraising team, the Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activities across the organisation, in order to maximise income for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. We’re recruiting a Rehabilitation Trainer & Behaviour Advisor to join our Behaviour team based at our rehoming centre in Southampton. This is a really exciting opportunity to join Blue Cross’ growing Behaviour Service. 

More about the role 

We are looking for a talented behaviour advisor who has a thorough understanding of reward-based training techniques, who will be working with pets in our care (be it on site, in foster, or post adoption). Working under the guidance of an Animal Behaviourist, you will be implementing and facilitating rehabilitation programmes practically, as well as advising and coaching centre teams who work with the pets in our care.

No two days will be the same – from working with an owner with a problem they are having with their pet to team training, to supporting a pet on site, to collaborating with your peers across Blue Cross – if you are looking for a dynamic role which helps people and pets and is at the forefront of animal welfare, then this might be the role for you. 

This role is on a six-month fixed term contract working two days per week (12.5 hours) on Thursdays and Fridays, 9am till 4.15pm. There will be occasions to meet the needs of the pets and people to sometimes travel to other sites, and to undertake duties outside of these hours. 

About you 

You will be a confident, adaptable and compassionate animal handler and trainer who enjoys working with a diverse range of people and pets. With excellent communication skills and an understanding of animal behaviour, you will be skilled at teaching and demonstrating training techniques and advising our teams and pet owners on some behaviour issues. In addition, you will thrive working collaboratively with others and have a desire to improve the experience of the pets in our care. 

 
Knowledge, skills, and experience   

• Demonstrable experience of: 

• Pet behaviour and training techniques, and evidence of success in understanding pet behaviour / training problems

• Carrying out behaviour and training programmes for dogs, across a variety of breeds and temperaments 

• Developing training programmes and delivering to owners / caregivers that are practical and realistic for a pet owner to understand and undertake independently 

• Full UK driving licence

To help us in this next phase of development we are recruiting for a newly created position – Senior Communications Manager. This exciting role sits within our national team and will lead the ongoing development and delivery of Thrive at Five’s external communications, ensuring we can reach and engage with a diverse range of audiences from national early years influencers to parents in our regional sites. The role will have two main areas of focus: 1) National communications: establishing Thrive at Five’s national presence to influence policy, funding and practices and attract future partners (funders, future pathfinder areas and other strategic partners); 2) Regional Communications; work with our local backbone teams to deliver a communications strategy which supports our two strategic drivers; 1) to build relationships and strengthen understanding of the early years with key professional stakeholders, and 2) to reach local parents to build their knowledge, confidence and skills and encourage them to take up support on offer.

You will have solid strategic communications experience, with an excellent track record in developing and executing innovative communications plans. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement necessary for Thrive at Five to develop a new place-based model for supporting early childhood development. The successful candidate will bring experience of managing a broad range of stakeholders and supporting a network of partners and will be adept at managing and coaching staff, with the ability to upskill team members. You will also have excellent organisational and project management skills. The Role

As a Flexible Assistant Park Manager, you will facilitate projects and programmes in one or more of our parks.

Reporting to the Head of Park Operations, you will undertake a wide range of park projects including service, policy and contract development initiatives.

About You

Community Coach

As a member of the Community Team, you will provide vital support to people who have completed our course in prison and are now in the community working to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison.

This is an exciting time to join our Community Team as we look to broaden and deepen the support we offer participants as they leave prison. You will help shape our offer to participants; drawing on your experiences and creativity and working with our other Community Coaches to trial new approaches.

Partnership working plays an important part of the role, and you’ll get to connect with employers, partners and statutory organisations to support participants as they build a life after prison.

This role would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained through personal experience, paid work or volunteering. This role does not require the successful candidate to work in prison or clear prison security to hold keys.
