The Kids Network is looking for the next go getter to join our growing team to transform the lives of little Londoners 

 

About the role 

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing, developing and managing a portfolio of local and national corporates for The Kids Network to achieve growth in support, awareness and income from employees and businesses. 

You will be ambitious to generate new business and enjoy pitching our corporate products to initiate new partnerships and ensuring excellent account management of your portfolio. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to enable exciting engagement opportunities that generate income, offer mutual benefit and enhance our programme impact.  

 

5 days a week (35 hours)  

Accountable to Director of Fundraising   

Salary £35-38k pa 

Some weekend and evening work required (TOIL provided) 

Access to London for meetings/ corporate engagement

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead on our Corporate Partnerships function, working closely with our Director of Fundraising and CEO 

  • Identify, research and approach potential corporate partners, to pitch our partnership offers and secure new business opportunities 

  • Provide first-class fundraising support, ensuring that all correspondence is personalised, to a high standard and managed in a timely manner 

  • Account manage a portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring mutually agreed partnership journeys are clearly planned and well executed 

  • Lead on corporate partnership engagement schedules and activities, with the inclusion of “volunteer days” aligning with our strategy and programme delivery aims 

  • Oversee recruitment and development of volunteers who support corporate fundraising activities 

  • Develop resources and communications to attract new partnerships, steward relationships and report on partnership impact. 

  • Use our Salesforce CRM to grow relationships, manage the corporate partner journey and track progress. 

  • Undertake public speaking and represent The Kids Network externally and internally at key events  

  • Develop strong internal relationships and effective collaboration with Data teams, Programme teams and Communications to support the function to source, research and steward Corporate Partners 

  • Lead on and attend fundraising events as required to maximise corporate giving 

 

 

About you 

We are looking for a new-business oriented corporate specialist who will approach senior management in large national corporates and businesses local to where we work, who have an interest in helping children live the lives they deserve. You will need to be a fluent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and confident enough to approach top people in organisations and to prepare and deliver a compelling pitch for support. 

You will have experience of corporate fundraising, with an eye on donations of £10,000 and above. You’ll enjoy building relationships with supporters and give excellent, enthusiastic account management. 

You’ll have a real can-do attitude and be prepared to go the extra mile – or two – to ensure supporters remain engaged and ‘feel the love’. 

 

 

Personal Specification 

  • A strategic thinker who can hold on to the big picture whilst designing and delivering activity plans 

  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic and compelling team player and relationship builder 

  • Prior experience and proven track record in a similar role 

  • Target driven, with a drive to succeed 

  • Strong influencing skills to secure new business 

  • Excellent time-management and project co-ordination skills, to plan and lead a programme of employee engagement activities 

  • Excellent analytic, written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills 

  • Strong budget management skills and proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce
