The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis.  We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people.This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals.

The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots.

Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day.

Purpose of the Job 

The People Administrator will manage all staff recruitment and operations at The Felix Project. You will support the hiring managers through all stages of the employee life cycle and will ensure this process is both rigorous and streamlined. You will also manage and support our HR administration systems and will act as first point of contact for day-to-day staff issues. Working closely with the Head of People you will help introduce improvements to our systems and administration processes.

Bromley Mental Health Hub forms part of the community transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long-Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We are looking for a Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services, including to support prevention, recovery and self-management. Applicants should have experience in completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment, and possess effective skills in communication. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mind in the City Hackney and Waltham Forest. Mind CHWF has recently won a contract for the provision of two Wellbeing Cafés in the borough, with one of the cafés being for women only. The Wellbeing Cafes are places where people can get involved in creative and wellbeing activities, learn new skills, increase levels of self-esteem, confidence, social contacts and get connected to wider community resources in the borough. Each café will be open for 40 weeks a year. Between 10-15 people will attend each cafe for 3 hours a week, over 4 terms of 10 weeks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To be a key worker for a number of young people who are in the care of Baca, providing high quality holistic and therapeutic support for their transition to adulthood.
• To deliver young people services in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, to enable young people to achieve the following outcomes, ensuring it is of the highest quality:
• Improved Physical Wellbeing
• Improved Emotional Wellbeing
• Increased engagement with Education, Employment and Training
• Increased Social engagement
• Increased Personal Safety
• To work proactively and collaboratively to ensure all young people are safeguarded and taking the initiative in resolving any issues that may arise with young people.
• To be a role model to all young people in Baca’s care, providing care and compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
• Support young people to understand expectations of them and the support on offer to them from Baca and other agencies.
• Support young people in developing essential life skills in line with the individual support plan to prepare them for independent living. Training young people in living skills such as washing, cleaning, cooking and safety food shopping and budgeting; proactively and intentionally in line with the Baca progress plan.
• Support young people in developing their skills and interests in education, vocation or hobbies. Ensure young people’s interests, hobbies and aspirations are identified by getting alongside young people and working with the team.
• Be an active part of a diverse environment of staff and young people from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Support young people to engage socially at Baca and in the wider community to build positive trusting relationships with others through one to one and group social times, engaging in clubs and activities.
• Take part in planning and attending day trips and Baca’s annual residential week.
• Develop excellent working partnerships with social workers, solicitors, teachers, volunteers and other partners to provide a holistic development package for each young person enabling them to become independent.
• Actively plan, prepare and participate in all meetings and events that are related to the support of the young people.
• Prepare young people for meetings and help them to understand what is being communicated.
• Transport young people, in line with our lone working policy, to events and meetings making sure they are on time using your own car in a safe and legal manner.
• Support young people to communicate and express their own wishes and voice regarding all aspects of their life and future.
• Develop and maintain excellent communication with all members of the team and all external partners and supporters.
• Keep good records and carry out all administrative work required as part of the role, such as month end reports and support plans, on time and in a consistent manner.

General

• Be adept in employing the correct procedures for dealing with any safeguarding incidences or concerns, in line with Baca’s Child, Vulnerable Adult Protection & Safeguarding Policy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to work undertaken and ensure all confidential material is stored according to Baca’s Confidentiality statement and Data Protection Policy.

Personal specification

Baca is looking for a Support Worker who can join the support team and provide support, care and be a role model for young people who are newly arrived refugees and victims of trafficking aged 16 to 18. They will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care.

The successful applicant will have the ability to ensure the support we give to the young people is of the highest quality and goes beyond the statutory standards set. They will be very approachable, reliable and a strong team worker. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, personable and willing to be flexible. They will be a great people person who can develop key external relationships. They will also be a very organised and proactive individual. The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires visiting the young people in their homes and attending different appointments/meetings across the midlands. The successful applicant will subscribe to and work in line with Baca’s vision and values.

The role will require the successful candidate to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Location of the post: Mountsorrel, Leicestershire.

Service Overview: Barnardo's, the UK's largest Children's Charity are currently on an exciting and innovative Journey alongside Leicestershire County Council to deliver a range of Children's homes for the most vulnerable children & young people in Leicestershire.

Please note: Our Short Breaks home is due to open in May 2025. You must be flexible to travel throughout the locality to work in our other Leicestershire Residential Services Children's homes based in Hinckley, Coalville and Syston until Short Breaks is operational. This home will then become your base location.

Our beautiful new Short Breaks home in Mountsorrel will support children & young people between 8-18 years who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviour. The service will provide up to 3 service users at any one-time opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and develop confidence, independence and social/emotional skills.

Some of the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
• To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
• To shift lead and conduct staff supervisions.
• To support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties where required.
• To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.
• To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
• To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Essential requirements to evidence in your written application:

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
• Must hold OR be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
• Must have at least 1 year supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting.
• Knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes with the ability to support the manager to achieve a rating of outstanding.
• Knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.

Pancreatic Cancer Action are excited to be seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Supporter Care and Fundraising Co-Ordinator to join our fabulous Fundraising Team.  This is a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Our incredible supporters are at the heart of all that we do at Pancreatic Cancer Action. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic supporters daily. Providing them with the tools, knowledge and materials they need to help reach and exceed their fundraising targets. From head shaves to cake sales, dress-down days to extreme sports. You will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries and be on hand to provide bespoke stewardship support to ensure we develop long-lasting relationships with our PCA community, groups and companies across the UK.

 

Main responsibilities:  

• Provide admin and operational support to the Fundraising Team
• Accurately record and manage data using the Salesforce CRM system.
• Ensure that fundraisers and supporters get timely correspondents by email or phone.
• Inspire supporters through innovative new stewardship ideas, sending out relevant materials and offering support and advice to enhance their event/fundraising.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters, helping them to exceed their fundraising targets and inspiring them to become life-long supporters.
• Update all event portals with fundraising details and complete the registration process on time.
• Monitor and input data from various fundraising platforms onto our Salesforce database to ensure accurate reporting on income from events/fundraising.
• Take ownership of fundraising tracker to ensure first class stewardship is provided to all supporters.
• Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups.
• Work collaboratively with the fundraising and marketing team to ensure that email templates, cards and certificates remain up to date and relevant to our audiences.
• Work with the fundraising team to identify ways to surprise and delight our fundraisers and ultimately build long term relationships with a consistent approach.
