The postholder will play a key role in strengthening national, regional and local responses to violence against women and girls (VAWG) affecting Black, minoritised and migrant women. They will design, develop and deliver a high-quality, influential training programme for statutory agencies, voluntary sector organisations and other key stakeholders on VAWG, including domestic abuse, harmful practices such as ‘honour’-based abuse, force marriage, and related forms of gender-based violence.

The role will have a particular focus on the intersections between VAWG, immigration and asylum systems, and no recourse to public funds (NRPF), ensuring that professional responses are rights-based, trauma-informed and grounded in an understanding of structural racism and gender inequality.

Working collaboratively with SBS colleagues, project partners and, where appropriate victim-survivor, the postholder will ensure that training is informed by lived experience and SBS’s long-standing specialist practice, contributing to improved policy, practice and outcomes for Black, minoritised and migrant women.

The postholder will also contribute to the wider work of SBS, supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives, feminist values and commitment to challenging violence against women and girls in all its forms.

The Senior Evidence & Evaluation Manager sits within the Impact & Evidence directorate at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.

You will play a central role in building the evidence base on what works to support young people into good jobs.

Working with three Heads of Evaluation, the Deputy Director and the Director, you will help ensure our evaluations are designed to generate credible evidence of what works.

• You will work closely with independent evaluators and delivery partners and colleagues in our Programmes & Grants and Policy & Communications directorates, you will assess the evaluability of interventions, and lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex impact evaluations.

Job overview:

Managing the day-to-day running of the Operations Support Team and increasing the number of GoodGymers completing Missions and Social Visits.
 

 Job Purpose 

• Manage the day-to-day running of Missions and Social Visits

• Manage the delivery of the Older People Operations business plan objectives

• Line manage the operations support team

• Contribute to the strategy of work supporting older people and identify opportunities for improvement

• Motivate operations support team to achieve agreed goals

• Identify areas in need of improvement and feeding back to the tech team. 

• Ensure adherence to the structures, systems and procedures to support volunteers, older people and referral partners in line with the aims of the organisation.

• Feedback from GoodGymers older people
   

Primary Responsibilities

Delivery management

• Manage the delivery of Missions and Social Visits

• Ensure prompt and accurate listing and confirmation of tasks

• Support Ops Support Team to undertake regular monitoring calls and ending pairings 

• Work to maintain balance of referrals and verified GoodGymers

• Monitor agreed performance indicators on older people work and motivate the team to achieve these and improve efficiency

• Oversee mission volunteer verification processes, reporting any concerns to the CEO in a timely manner

Safeguarding

• Be the designated Safeguarding Lead for GoodGym

• Manage and escalate any safeguarding matters arising in line with GoodGym’s Safeguarding Adults policy

• Manage and update GoodGym Safeguarding policies and processes for older people and GoodGymers

• Produce Annual Safeguarding report for Trustees

Referrals for older people

• Provide practical support to referrers where necessary

• Attend external meetings to support these partnerships as required

• Working with Head of Operations to grow and improve referrals for older people

• Feedback to Head of Operations on impact of work

Communications

• Supporting communications team with ideas for case studies, ensure testimonials are regularly updated

• Ensure Operations Support Team’s communication with GoodGymers is appropriate, adequate and ensure GoodGymers feel supported, in line with GoodGym’s ethos 

Reporting:

• Contribute information to reports for funders and funding applications 

• Report on progress to the staff team and trustees 

Management

• Line manage Operations Support Coordinators 

• Manage process of recruiting and supporting Operations volunteers

• Provision of regular support and supervision to the above, identifying and responding to training and development needs 

• Support the recruitment of and be responsible for the induction and training of new Older People Operations Coordinators 

• Provide information and support to staff in the wider central team in order to optimise GoodGym’s work with older people as required

Other Responsibilities

• Review and interpret feedback from older people, GoodGymers and third parties as well as data and flag concerns, operation-critical improvements

• Representing the Operations Support Team at organisation wide meetings

• Leading regular team meetings

• Ensure that information pertaining to older people, coordinators is up to date and is shared, recorded and stored in line with GoodGym’s confidentiality, information sharing and data protection policies.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, guidance and best practice in the sector

Facilities Officer / Office Administrator

MLC Partners are actively seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Officer/Office Administrator for a national, renowned charity – Turn2us. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of their lovely offices whilst acting as their Chief Fire Warden and First Aid Officer.

Within this role, you will be responsible for providing friendly services to all staff and visitors, maintain a safe, tidy and well organised office environment, keep abreast of all service provider/supplier management and carry out all health and safely and general office administration functions as required. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a meaningful and impactful charity in a superb location, amongst a friendly team, taking responsibility for their new, modern offices.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

Office Administration:

• Maintain and update the Turn2us Office Handbook.
• Manage the shared Facilities mailbox and coordinate any requests.
• Manage the shared electronic diary and meeting room bookings.
• Support archiving, shredding, printing and photocopying needs.
• Manage stationery, kitchen and office supplies; order items when stock is low.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of approved suppliers and contractors.
• Support onboarding administrative tasks for new staff or volunteers (e.g., building access, induction to provide emergency information).
• Manage incoming and outgoing posts/deliveries, including the franking machine.
• Monitor the charity’s complaints inbox, referring messages to the appropriate members of staff and logging the charity’s responses

Workspace and facilities management:

• Ensure all workspaces and common areas are tidy, organised and compliant with office cleanliness and safety standards.
• Conduct daily walk-through checks to identify any issues with equipment, furniture, office fittings or cleanliness.
• Report faulty or damaged equipment promptly to the IT team and log issues for follow-up.
• Coordinate cleaning and all maintenance visits with approved suppliers.
• Liaise with building management for all building regulatory checks and emergency drills.
• Coordinate key annual and quarterly staff social events: 4x Office Chill Afternoons, Summer Staff Gathering and End of Year celebrations.
• Support the organisation of large group meetings/gatherings, including room set-up and refreshments.
• Office plants care and maintenance.

Health and Safety Administration:

• Organise health and safety inductions for new starters.
• As the Primary Fire Warden ensure enough fire wardens are trained and provide general fire safety information for all staff.
• Support fire safety processes such as weekly fire-alarm test results and ensuring fire-safety documentation is up to date.
• As the Primary First Aid Officer ensure enough first aiders are trained and maintain up to date staff medical records.
• Maintain office first aid kits and accident records.
• Assist with office-specific risk assessments under guidance from senior staff, including assisting with risk assessment maintenance on the health & safety platform
• Maintain inventories cleaning materials, and small electrical appliances.
• Ensure all office signage are clear and up to date with correct information.
• Organise annual site visits and equipment servicing where relevant (e.g., fire extinguishers, PAT testing, health & safety site visit).

Successful applicants should have previous experience in office management and /or administration, experience maintaining administrative systems and records and experience in health and safety administration.
