As a Deputy Manager, you will be integral to the Home Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and day-to-day operations across residential, dementia, and nursing services.
· People Leadership and Performance: This is the primary focus. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing performance of Nurses and allied health professionals. This includes conducting clinical and management supervision, ensuring safe staffing levels, and actively driving team quality and service outcomes. Candidates must evidence the ability to lead and mentor senior staff.
· Quality and Strategic Oversight: Drive the review and development of care pathways, risk assessments, and service development plans. Your work must be supported by clear outcomes and quantifiable impact on service improvement and efficiency.
· Clinical and Operational Oversight: Deputise fully for the Registered Manager, ensuring safe, high-quality residential, nursing, and dementia care, and maintaining full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards.
· Statutory Compliance and Safeguarding: Take a leading role in maintaining strict adherence to all health & social care legislation (e.g., CQC, MCA/DoLS, Health & Safety). You will lead high-level investigations of safeguarding concerns, ensuring prompt and accurate documentation.
Your Background
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult or Mental Health).
- A Proven Track Record of Senior Management/Leadership Experience within a Care Home setting, specifically working with complex elderly care (residential, dementia, and/or nursing).
- Formal Leadership qualification (or commitment to achieve Level 4 L&M).
- Proven skills in clinical leadership, quality assurance, and incident investigation, evidenced at a management and strategic level.

You will be joining an established team of Admiral Nurses covering Somerset and Devon.
This role involves regular travel within the region, so we are ideally looking for someone based in or near the area. You will work with clients or from the office 3 days per week, with 2 days available to work from home. There may also be occasions when you will need to attend training and meetings at our hubs across the UK.
As an Admiral Nurse, your role will be pivotal in providing expert nursing support to carers, helping them navigate the complexities of dementia care. You will offer emotional and psychological interventions to alleviate the challenges of caregiving, especially at the early stages of diagnosis or pre-diagnosis, and continue supporting carers through the various stages of dementia, focusing on transitions, loss, and shifting relationships.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients, conducting home visits to assess their needs and wellbeing, and develop individual intervention plans. You will empower carers by helping them build the skills and confidence needed to support someone with dementia, especially as behaviours change over time. Your work will ensure they can provide better care while also protecting their own mental and emotional health.
Beyond direct care, you will contribute to the continuous development of the service, assisting with the evaluation and improvement of dementia care practices. You will offer clinical guidance to colleagues and external agencies, providing training and educational resources to enhance the quality of care across the board.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Poppyscotland/RBL to help deliver a new Scotland wide service offering benefits, debt and money advice to Scotland’s Armed Forces community.
As a Benefits Adviser, you’ll provide expert advice and representation to beneficiaries on a wide range of welfare benefit issues. Your role will involve supporting individuals through income maximisation, mandatory reconsiderations, and appeals, including representation at tribunal hearings.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert advice on welfare benefits, including entitlements, claims, and complex cases like Student Finance and Armed Forces Pensions.
- Support with overpayments, late claims, and backdating, ensuring beneficiaries understand their rights.
- Advocate for beneficiaries with DWP, SSS, Local Authorities, and HMRC, challenging decisions and securing evidence.
- Prepare and represent cases at First-Tier Tribunals, including overpayments and appeals.
- Assess case strengths, potential outcomes, and legal implications, adapting strategies as needed.
- Stay up to date with legislation, case law, and best practices, ensuring accurate advice and representation.
- Escalate cases when necessary, including Upper Tribunal appeals, judicial reviews, and Ombudsman referrals.
Poppyscotland offers a holistic Benefits & Debt Advice Service, with the expectation that the successful candidate will develop knowledge, skills & experience in debt advice (full training and supervision provided) to be able to support clients in both areas of support.
The role is homebased with occasional travel required throughout Scotland. This includes travel to home visits and tribunal locations. In addition, travel to team meetings and training, usually in Edinburgh, is required. You may also be required to attend national BDMA Service annual events held across the UK. We do cover travel expenses.
Living within Scotland area is essential in being able to undertake this role.
This position is also subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced PVG check.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in welfare benefits advice, including entitlements, rates, and calculations.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently, ensuring timely and accurate case administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management systems, and other relevant software.
- Experience handling complex benefit calculations and successfully challenging benefit decisions.

We are looking for a Care Supervisor (Senior Care Assistant) to join our dedicated team at Galanos House in Southam, Warwickshire. Experience working in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings is essential.
As a Care Supervisor, you will inspire care teams to provide compassionate, high-quality support tailored to each resident’s needs. Evidence of professional development in dementia care is required. You will create personalised care plans, promote health and well-being, and ensure that the preferences and choices of residents are central to their care.
Working 37.5 hours per week, shift patterns are from 7:00am to 2:30pm and 2:00pm to 9:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Manage shifts effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly and that care is always a top priority.
- Guide and support team members to help them develop professionally.

- Oversee medication administration and ensure it’s done safely and accurately.
- Provide compassionate care, particularly in end-of-life situations, offering emotional support to residents and their families.
You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care or equivalent and will be willing to work towards a Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisory Apprenticeship Standard. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

You will play a crucial role in managing the transportation and storage of specialist Recovery equipment, helping create a seamless experience for our beneficiaries.
