About the Department/Role
This role as The Bishop's PA reports to the Bishop of Guildford, but will report functionally to the Bishop's Chaplain who is ensuring the bishop's office is running smoothly during an interim period.
The role comprises offering highly competent and efficient Personal Assistant administrative support to the Bishop of Guildford based out of his office and home, Willow Grange, Jacob's Well, Guildford. As an Advocacy and Support Officer, you will provide one-to-one support to people facing immediate crises or longer-term challenges. You’ll work closely with individuals—often in their own homes or community settings—to help them navigate complex systems and build more stable, independent lives.

Additionally, as part of this role, you will be working across the whole service in supporting our focus on early intervention and prevention.
As part of the wider ICCM team you will help to inform and actively support community-based advocacy, awareness, and public campaigns to increase knowledge and education of the community on how to access help, and the availability of support which is open to people as needs develop.

As the Triage and Administrative Assistant, it is your role to support the KCLSU Advice service to deliver high quality support to students who need help with issues impacting their studies. This will be done by ensuring excellent management of the Advice shared inbox, consistent record keeping using our case management system and communicating with both students and staff about our service. KCLSU Advice often supports students experiencing difficult circumstances and so as a team, we work effectively and empathetically.
You will need to be confident in understanding complex policy and processes to ensure students are triaged appropriately and efficiently, enabling advisors to provide timely and tailored support.
Key responsibilities include;
- Supporting and completing a variety of administrative tasks relating to the KCLSU Advice service, in particular triage and casework.
- Maintaining accurate and consistent record keeping including using the Case Management System
- Administrate the KCLSU Advice inbox including processing referrals, removing duplicates, providing initial responses and flagging urgent queries.
- Representing KCLSU Advice at occasional outreach events to raise awareness of our service and educate students on the support offered.
- Provide administrative support for the Student Panel Volunteer project and any other relevant KCLSU Advice related projects
- Developing and maintaining up to date knowledge of the Advice Service procedures and practices and incorporate them into work effectively.
- Being a proactive and solution focused team member to support the service to meet student needs, particularly during busy periods.

We are seeking a professional and experienced Team Leader to join our Dog Team, responsible for the care and support of around 50 on-site dogs and a smaller number in foster homes for a 12 month fixed term contract.
As a Team Leader, Dogs you will oversee the entire pet journey from admission to rehoming whilst also having a specific area of focus and specialism. You will supervise day-to-day operations as point of contact whilst ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, risk and safety assessments. Through a clear understanding of the pet's journey, you will focus on maximising throughput, resolving issues, and collaborating across departments.
As someone with strong problem-solving and coaching skills you will inspire and develop the team, managing and motivating your direct reports and the wider team to deliver on departmental goals. This will include working alongside other Team Leaders with recruitment, development and performance management to build a positive team culture.
