Role Overview:
The Talent Set is excited to be working with a fantastic charity as they search for a Community Fundraising and Events Officer to support their team for an initial 3-month role.
This role provides essential interim support to ensure the smooth running of community fundraising activities and supporter events. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporter stewardship, event coordination, and programme development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional supporter stewardship by handling community fundraising enquiries, managing data, and ensuring timely thanking and banking of donations with accuracy.
- Support the planning and execution of supporter engagement events, including managing event documentation, researching venues, obtaining quotes, and preparing marketing materials and invitation lists.
- Develop and distribute fundraising materials efficiently to engage and support community fundraisers.
- Review the in-memory giving programme, providing recommendations to enhance income generation and engagement.
- Contribute to broader team and organisational goals by actively participating in the delivery of the Community Engagement Plan and wider fundraising and communications strategy.
Person Specification:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement new initiatives effectively.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Confident in building relationships with a diverse range of supporters.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, IT systems, and CRM software.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage deadlines, and work independently.
- A positive, team-oriented approach with a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
- Prior experience in charity fundraising, particularly within community and events fundraising, is desirable.
What’s on Offer:
- This is a hybrid role, with just 1-day per-week in their Central London office.
- A day rate of £138.34 per-day + £20.75 daily holiday for the successful candidate.
