Job description

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Conference & Events Administrator role. This position involves providing essential administrative and operational support for a dynamic programme of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events within a busy and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Conference & Events Team.
  • Manage event registration processes using appropriate digital platforms.
  • Coordinate logistics and liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, speakers, volunteers, and attendees.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries via phone and email, maintaining the shared inbox to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage event equipment inventory.
  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Assist colleagues with travel and accommodation arrangements for events and related activities.
  • Support delivery of a broad programme of events, including large-scale virtual and in-person gatherings.
  • Maintain organised shared files and records relevant to event management.
  • Handle queries with a common-sense approach and provide excellent customer service, particularly around accessibility, confidentiality, and discretion.


Person Specification:

  • Proven organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, capable of liaising effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, event management platforms, CRM systems, and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible with working hours, including potential evening, weekend, or overnight shifts for major events.
  • Experience in event administration and logistics is desirable.
  • Customer service experience and understanding of managing sensitive information are advantageous.
  • A proactive approach, demonstrating good organisational skills and reliability.


What’s on Offer:

  • Salary: £29,000 pro rata
  • Location: 1 day a week in the Northampton Office
  • Contract: Full time, initial 3-months (potential to go permanent)
