Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Fundraising Events & Partnerships Officer role. This position involves leading impactful fundraising events and forging strong community and corporate partnerships to support the organisation’s mission and drive income growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate fundraising events such as Sleep Easy, Golf Day, dinners, and supporter gatherings.
- Manage all event elements, including budgeting, risk assessments, logistics, promotion, and execution.
- Track fundraising expenditure, ensuring all funds raised and donations are accurately recorded against set budgets.
- Support challenge event participants to maximise their fundraising efforts.
- Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses, organisations, schools, churches, and community groups to enhance engagement and income.
- Steward existing supporters and cultivate new relationships through innovative fundraising ideas and strategic collaborations.
- Negotiate donations, prizes, and volunteer opportunities, including gifts in kind.
- Research and approach prospective partners for community fundraising initiatives and partnership opportunities.
- Deliver engaging presentations to diverse community audiences to promote fundraising activities.
- Champion supporter engagement through timely recognition and transparent communication of impact.
- Represent the organisation at external events, promoting its mission and building networks.
- Collaborate on campaign development to maximise fundraising effectiveness, maintaining accurate supporter and financial data, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
Person Specification:
- Experience of planning and delivering successful fundraising events.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, and track ROI and expenditure effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good written communication skills and ability to deliver compelling presentations.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles, charity regulations, and data management systems (CRM experience is a plus).
- A proactive, collaborative approach with creative problem-solving ability.
- Full driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel locally.
What’s on Offer:
- Salary: £27,000 - £31,000
- Location: Derby – Hybrid
- Contract: Permanent
