Project Manager

£140 - £155 per day PAYE
Part-time (2 days a week)

Job description

The organisation:

We are delighted to be partnered with a very well known international development charity, who are very excited to be delivering a flagship event this year that will gain them international recognition! They are seeking a Project Manager for 2 days a week, for 8-10 weeks to help them with coordination and administration for this incredibly exciting event.


You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate internal teams and resources to ensure the project is delivered to scope and schedule
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Delivery Group and other relevant internal stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status, information and changes/updates.
  • Monitor project status. Ensure project deadlines and requirements are met. Identify and resolve issues that may be causing challenges or delays in discussion with Project Lead. 
  • Develop and maintain a detailed delivery schedule E.g. Gantt chart or other project management tool. Ensure Delivery Group know how to effectively use it.
  • Co-ordinate key activities such as a potential site visit (ensuring relevant stakeholders informed).
  • Liaise with teams and booking/changing all event tickets and access passes.
  • Complete monthly status updates.
  • Project support such as scheduling project meetings, developing and maintaining staff show week schedule and ensuring all project information is provided in a timely and accessible manner to the Delivery Group.


Person specification:

  • Project management experience. Preferably including event management.
  • Experience working on complex projects that include multiple, cross-functional teams in large organisations.
  • Highly proficient in developing and managing project management software/platforms for internal processes and scheduling E.g. Gantt charts. 
  • Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for the detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


What's on offer:

This role is offering a day rate of £155.56, for 2 days a week, for 8-10 weeks. This role can be remote or hybrid. This is a fast moving role and applications will close as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
